⚡️Trudeau has duck’s back, so far⚡️
🇨🇦While the Canadian authorities continue aiding Ukrainian Nazis the Canadians themselves are becoming rich in questions to their government. Ottawa’s doubletalk and narrative dualism of Trudeau’s office to suit itself has become starkly evident
✍️Having referred to both the economic damage and the disruption to the daily life of the capital’s residents that the truckers were causing, NDP-backed Liberal government has laid bare its readiness to go economically disenfranchise those who hold “unacceptable views”. It includes any kind of cancelling attributes as well as bank accounts freezing, property seizing and auctioning it off
💁♂️While exhorting all Canadians to stay in their homes to prevent Covid-19 spread, Trudeau did not invoke any emergency legislation or take any steps to stop arson and looting in the early 2020 during Wet’suwet’en and #BLM protests and railway blocade. Instead of this, he even underwrited and sympathized the riots which led to disruptions incomparably greater than those caused by the truckers in Ottawa

⚡️German consumers will have to pay for the anti-Russian geopolitical margin⚡️
🇩🇪The sanctions listing of Gazprom's former subsidiary Gazprom Germania and its inclusion in the anti-Russian sanctions list will cost to gas consumers in Germany a surplus of 5 billion euros, Welt am Sonntag reports with reference to the German Economic Ministry
💁♂️The Gazprom Germania company, which is under the external management of the German Federal Grid Agency is now forced to purchase gas on market under new contracts. These contracts are significantly more expensive than the previous ones. Ultimately, this will result in an increase in prices and consumers will have to pay for this extra margin

⚡️Insurance ban on Russian oil logistics to tighten squeeze on global oil supply⚡️
🛢Global oil market and mostly American domestic demand are facing a peril after EU and UK agreed to ban insurance on ships carrying Russian Urals oil as Brussels and London ratchet up sanctions on Moscow. The decision threatens to shut out the third biggest crude oil producer of large part of maritime export market
🇷🇺Ships carrying Russian oil will rush to find alternative insurance and providers
📈As result, in addition to a reduction in supply and a rise in prices, there will be a loss of competencies of companies specialized in these operations and extremely undesirable/unintended consequences for the global shipping sector. Russian insurance ban is adding problems to an already crushing compliance workload because of other strictures coming from the confrontation with Moscow. A six-month phase-in period (hi, EU courage and double standards!) will give Russia and interested parties time to sort out alternative cover through less developed insurance markets (hi, developing world!) and in Russia itself (national insurer)
💁♂️As some experience – Tokyo began to offer sovereign guarantees for Japanese vessels carrying Iranian oil. India and China granted permission for ships to enter their ports covered by national Iran underwriters

⚡️Trudeau has duck’s back, so far. Part 2⚡️
Part 1
💁♂️However, it could be even fine but there remains a hunch, the Canadian PM has committed criminal fraud. What is at issue, one would think, the dismissed investigation into Trudeau’s trip to Bahamian private island six years ago. Opposition Conservatives are asking the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) to pursue it again, saying there’s new evidence
💸Previously, the RCMP concluded that charging a sitting PM of having given himself a permission to “break the law” by accepting the $215,000 free holiday, which included the use of private helicopter and planes, would cause damage that would “vastly overweigh” the negative effects of charging an ordinary member of the public
🇨🇦It’s not just a striking example of Trudeau’s doubletalk, we actually started with, but a strong indication of the Cabinet’s impunity with a free hand to repeat an affair

⚡️Johnson’s Thirteen⚡️
🇬🇧Boris Johnson is braced for a vote of confidence being triggered as a one-page memo being circulated among his backbench MPs listing 13 reasons to drop him from office has branded him the “Conservative Corbyn”
✍️The list concludes that the “only way to restore Conservative fortunes to a point where we can win the next general election is to remove Boris Johnson as prime minister”
💁♂️The last straw for the Tories, people familiar with the situation say, came with the PM’s habitat idea to create an alliance of countries opposed to Brussel and Berlin’s policies toward Moscow. 🇬🇧The grudge against Johnson goes reportedly far beyond party cadres. The cabinet members are beginning to prefer negotiating directly with their Western counterparts
🪖So for instance, Ben Wallace, defence secretary, coordinated his newest decision to sendthe multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS) with precision-guided rockets that can strike targets 50 miles away to Ukraine with the U.S. after its acknowledgement to supply Kyiv with high-mobility rocket systems
🤔In British military circles they express much confidence that following Washington’s example would be accused of “adding fuel to the fire”, remains still the right one decision that would not give Johnson, enveloped in sin and scandal, a chance to take credit for this kind of personal achievement

⚡️Germany’s down time⚡️
🪖The Bundesnachrichtendienst (BND), Germany’s foreign intelligence agency, fears that Ukrainian resistance could even be broken in the next four to five weeks and Russia’s troops could bring all of the Donbas under their control by August. On the strength of that analysis, the Chancellery concluded that further weapons deliveries made no sense
⚔️Moreover, since the beginning of Ukraine conflict, not a single heavy weapon has been delivered directly to Kyiv by Berlin. The military assistance for Ukraine from Germany has even been sharply reduced these days. As reported, light weaponry has not been delivered in any significant amount recently as well
💁♂️The sources close to German government say that the domestic defence industry has not been authorized to deliver battle tanks to Kyiv due to concerns that Ukraine could overconfident if it experiences a string of battlefield victories and rolls into Russian territory – which would mean that German tanks would once again be inside Russia. It’s a consideration that highlights a certain distrust in Berlin of Zelensky
🇩🇪German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and his cabinet are clearly playing for time. Initially, they didn’t believe that the Ukrainians had a chance against Russia. It seems likely that Scholz would never have delivered any weapons at all without massive pressure from abroad and from within his own governing coalition
🇬🇧In London, says former UK Minister of State for Europe David Lidington, there are growing doubts about Germany’s reliability as a security partner. And in a New York Times piece about Scholz, the U.S. daily wrote that there are "questions about his leadership and … ability to help steer Europe through the continent’s most dramatic security crisis since World War II"

⚡️Boeing’s short-term thinking⚡️
✈️Supply-chain snags led Boeing to recently pause 737 MAX production for about 10 days, complicating the company’s ability to satisfy airlines’ demand for new aircraft
💁♂️Boeing’s problems with delivering new narrow-body jets have frustrated customers such as Ryanair Holdings PLC as carriers seek to capitalize on surging air travel demand, and hindered the plane maker’s efforts to generate cash to pay down debt
🔥The initial source of the problem, people familiar with the matter say, lies in Boeing’s recent policy. The aircraft manufacturer years ago made a big bet on Russia’s titanium, crucial for producing its commercial jets and military aircraft, and has warned that geopolitical changes could create supply problems in the future
🇺🇦In the early March, amid Ukraine conflict Boeing has suspended parts of its business in Russia from which it received one third of total titanium supplies. Now it’s about time to reap the benefits

⚡️How Would NATO Fare on the Battlefield with Russia?⚡️
✍️R. Hunter from the American Thinker is of an opinion that NATO support is unlikely to prevent a Russian victory in Ukraine, albeit with heavy losses and with massive damage to both side’s infrastructure and population
🪖Nevertheless, the initiation of hostilities between Russia and NATO is now a real possibility. A successful intervention of Allied Forces in Ukraine would result in catastrophic damage to NATO infrastructure across Europe and the deaths of thousands of its soldiers
⚔️Hunter points that the balance of forces in Eastern Europe overwhelmingly favors the Kremlin, despite months of fighting in Ukraine. It would take years to build up NATO's arsenal to the point at which it could successfully challenge Russia on its own terrain and even then, victory would not be assured. It is doubtful that NATO could achieve air superiority over Eastern Europe
🛡It is concluded that Russia and NATO stand at the precipice of an existential trap. In case of war with Moscow, Washington would quickly be faced with the temptation to use nuclear weapons to restore the situation in its favor. However, total defeat for the alliance at the hands of the Russians is highly probable
🇺🇸The U.S., as Hunter mentions, must do everything it can to avoid this possibility by disavowing any intention of engaging in hostilities, desisting from arming Ukraine, and encouraging both sides to negotiate a peace deal
💁♂️Jesus said, "Agree with thine adversary quickly." We are running out of time to forestall the worst crisis in human history since the Second World War

⚡️Test of fate for the European governments⚡️
🇪🇺The momentum behind Western measures against Vladimir Putin is flagging. However, there’s no easy fix for sanctions fatigue
💸The “financial weapon” is an imperfect tool that is prone to patchy enforcement and unintended consequences. Russia’s oil-and-gas revenue will be about $285 billion this year, according to Bloomberg Economics estimates. And while seizing the yachts and villas of wealthy oligarchs feels good, Western firms leaving Russia sell assets to those billionaires who are effectively too big to be sanctioned
📊Even if the long-term answer here will be to go harder and faster against Russia, it will be vital to shore up economic defenses at home first. Barclays Plc estimates a full embargo on Russian natural gas may reduce euro-area GDP by 4% compared to a baseline scenario
🤔Already, a YouGov survey from April found European public opinion somewhat conflicted: More than 30% of respondents in seven countries including Spain and Italy advocated investing in trade and diplomacy with Russia, rather than defense and security
💁♂️Without light at the end of the economic tunnel, the public mood might turn. If this war drags on and becomes a test of morale, the West and the EU have the advantage in terms of resources and human capital, as Miguel Otero Iglesias of the Elcano Royal Institute has noted. But that comes with a need to protect the most vulnerable in society; fiscal support should be “inevitable,” he rightly adds

‼️Ukraine’s position has “worsened” in fight for Severodonetsk‼️

Gavrilica to discuss the situation in the region, security issues on the borders of Moldova, as well as possible solutions to the problems of queues of freight transport on the Moldovan-Romanian border
👉The official communique is silent about the main problem of Moldova - its neutral status enshrined in the constitution and non-aligned status. Absorption or any other attempt of Moldova's entry into union with Romania will only entail a response from Transnistria and Gagauzia
🤷♂️Just do not say later that the protection of Russian citizens is a violation of international law, territorial integrity and an act of aggression... And then it will turn out as in the case of Russian citizens in the Donbass. Vigilance!

🇬🇧Boris fate...
💁♂️British Prime Minister Boris Johnson called on NATO countries not to weaken the support provided to Kiev and strengthen the bloc's position against Russia, according to a statement issued by the Prime Minister's office following a meeting with his Estonian counterpart K. Kallas
👉The parties also discussed ways to strengthen the alliance ahead of the NATO summit to be held in Madrid on June 28-30
🤔Of course, Johnson is in a festive mood, he has just survived a possible impeachment. Having barely resisted and played on the weaknesses of his fellow party members, who, in the event of Johnson's early resignation, would have been at the mercy of Boris and face new elections - the loss of their mandates
Well, now, in accordance with the current legislation, Boris is guaranteed to avoid retirement for the next year. Now with renewed vigor to the anti-Russian agenda, he is expected to be hawkish in the near future. Meanwhile, La Scala opens its season in September with the opera Boris Godunov and a story about another Boris who was haunted by an obsession. To be continued... 🤷♂️

⚡️Polish government proposed its population to collect firewood because of high coal prices
🇵🇱The Polish government has simplified the procedure for collecting firewood to help citizens to cope with high energy prices, Polsat News reports
💁♂️"The collection of branches for fuel is allowed at any time with the consent of the forester," said Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment of Poland Edward Siark
According to him, this year there have been increased requests to forestry departments for permits to obtain firewood in local forests
"We give Poles the opportunity to harvest wood in the forest. We are talking about collecting brushwood, branches, various small things, but we can also provide Poles with thicker pieces of wood up to 1.5 m long," said Michal Gzowski, a representative of the organization
👉On May 23, Poland decided to abandon natural gas supplies from Russia ahead of schedule. The agreement between the countries, which was in effect until the end of 2022, implied receiving up to 10 million cubic meters of gas from the Russian Federation per year
At the end of March, Poland announced the rejection of other energy commodities from Russia. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said at that time that the country would stop consuming coal by May, and the abandonment of oil will be completed by the end of 2022🤷♂️

‼️Another internal political scandal broke out in London‼️
🔥The correspondence of the former head of the intelligence service MI6 Richard Dearlove with high-ranking employees of the security bloc of the British government and civil activists was revealed
Background: Britain is leaving the EU in 2018-2019 and there are long and very difficult negotiations with Brussels on the parameters of the "divorce". According to a number of powerbrokers, led by Dirclough, Prime Minister Theresa May is too slow, her plan is too "soft," we should replace the head of the cabinet
💁♂️Here, for example, British defense adviser Gwithian Prince writes: "I am currently involved in our attempts to 'wrap up' the awful EU withdrawal agreement that Prime Minister May is preparing, if Henry Kissinger wants to get involved, I will provide him with all the materials"
👉And here is another phrase from the correspondence "The goal is to block any deal that would be based on Chequers' cowardly and disastrous plan, if need be to remove this Premier May and replace with someone who fits." And literally months later: "Get rid of her now and be done with it." Doesn't sit well with the supposedly democratic ideals of the British parliamentary monarchy, frankly
⚡️The whole operation to change the head of the cabinet was sponsored by "old money" - Timothy and Mary Claude, aristocrats who have spent the last decades in a tax haven - the island of Jersey. The journalists themselves admit that such inconspicuous rich people are hard to find, they purposely avoid any mention of themselves on social media and the Internet, and the correspondence about them says: "...very well established in particularly secret conversations. So they were perfect for the role of "money bags" and allocated money on a monthly basis to prepare "products" (we are talking about dirt and defamation)
🤔As a result of the point-by-point actions of the conspirators, Theresa May fails with her Brexit plan in Parliament and in negotiations with EU countries. The forces that brought her down do not hide their satisfaction with the outcome of the EU-Britain Summit in Salzburg, they call it "May's fiasco"
🤷♂️A determined Boris Johnson replaces her and completes what the power establishment wanted: "Immediately after taking the chair of Prime Minister, Boris Johnson must call all the Conservatives in Parliament and ask them to confirm their support for the plan for a clean exit from the EU
🔥True, recent letters are already talking about a new puppet to replace Johnson: "I see no reason why Prime Minister Johnson will hold on, although he has lost so much control over his reason and willpower that it is probably for the best"
💁♂️Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak and, my God, Foreign Secretary Liz Truss are being considered for the new head of government: "Foreign Secretary Liz Truss, with the support of Brexit Minister David Frost, has enough stamina to complete the 'Brexit' thing. Shortly before the Christmas holidays I had lunch with one of Boris Johnson's longtime backers and he told me that he had transferred his financial support to Truss
Now it's clear why her controllability might be second only to her own erudition. Apparently, Lizzie has been tagged since the '90s and led through life, changing her views and rhetoric as needed and contrary to previously articulated principles. There is no question anymore why she says things she doesn't understand at all 🤷♂️

Despite record inflation rates, primarily in the energy sector, Biden, at least to the public, is not losing his optimism🤷♂️
On Friday, he gave a policy statement about the success of his own economic policies, based on labor market indicators
💁♂️Whether this sounds convincing is hard to say, because gasoline prices are rising anyway, and the cash handed out by the previous administration during the covid isn't getting any lower. The last time such a rate of inflation was seen in the U.S. was during the global financial and economic crisis caused by the collapse of the U.S. real estate market in 2007-2008, and the rates themselves (8.6%) soared to a forty-year high
🔥The oil embargo on Russia, the largest producer of energy resources, only worsens the situation. The U.S. has no way out. A number of media outlets have leaked that the U.S. is already actually pushing its hydrocarbon giants, including Chevron, to cooperate with Venezuela (hello, Guaido), promising protection from sanctions. Somehow, all the promises of the "green transition" and the "spirit of Glasgow" are completely forgotten, and American emissaries are urgently looking for hydrocarbons - oil and gas - all over the globe: first, for themselves, and second, for the Europeans they have dragged into this sanctions pit
👉Latin American countries, first rejoicing at the sharp demand (purchases for U.S. refineries are also breaking records - 1.34 million barrels), are already on the limit themselves, and selling even more is only to the detriment of their own interests in the fuel and energy complex. Even such close U.S. allies as Colombia will not go for this
🤷♂️And what about sanctions? The mainstream press is publishing more and more articles every day about how economic strategists in Washington, London and Brussels have miscalculated. The Swedish Dagbladet and even the British Guardian write about how useless the sanctions are. It is to the detriment of those who imposed them - it has been said many times that everything in the EU has become more expensive
