Beneficial advice on supplication in the night prayer.

‎💎 Tonight is the 23rd night, which is among the nights in which Laylat al-Qadr (the Night of Decree) is expected, and it is called "Laylat al-Juhani."

‎It is reported that Abdullah b. Anīs al-Juhanī (رضي الله عنه) said:

‎I said: "O Messenger of Allah, I have a wilderness area where I reside, and I pray there, al hamdulillah. Command me with a night to come down to this masjid."

‎He (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: "Come down on the twenty-third night."

‎(One of the narrators of the hadith said) I said to his son: "What did your father use to do?"

‎He said: "He would enter the masjid when he prayed the ‘Asr, and he would not leave it for any need until he prayed Fajr, and when he prayed the Fajr, he found his riding animal at the door of the masjid, so he mounted it and returned to his wilderness dwelling."

‎Sahih Abī Dawūd

I compiled this to clarify an issue that arises some years about praying a second congregation of night prayer after the initial Taraweeh prayed after Isha.

In short, some scholars disliked it after praying witr and if not resting in between congregations, but even then ultimately permitted it in any case.

I hope to put out something soon on what the Salaf did if they already prayed witr and desired to pray more.
