New Psychedelics compounds search.

Why?

Deal with First gen psychedelic issues:

- they were not created specifically to threat a particular disorder even if can do it with a certain efficacy
- they have cardiotoxicity related to 5ht2b mechanism
- long action duration length for therapy

New hopes and ideas:

- decouple halucenogetic from therapeutic effect
- potentially reaching even newer states of mind
- targetly engineered experience without so complex set and setting

What?

- Kanna alcaloids for premature ejaculation 😅
- BPL-003 for Treatment Resistant Depression (TRD).
- IHCH-7113 Non halucenogetic psychedelic for depression
- Ele-101 for depression and Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD).

How?

1. AI assisted search

- Predictive AI. Train on structure to properties (need big dataset of both)

- Generative AI. Evolutionary machines

2. Natural compounds search and enchantment

- Research existing less popular natural compounds rom indigenous communities
- Enchance properties (Increase a half life, change blood barrier penetration, etc..

3. Future approaches

- computational chemistry (compounds VS receptors )
- test on brain organoids

Don't waste your time looking at Starship launch. Check this. Q&A with first DMTX Psychenauts 💥

It promises to be a revolutionary moment in the history of psychedelic exploration. Like NASA ventures into space, Noonautics is embarking on a mission into the depths of the human psyche, navigating the alien landscape of the DMT experience.

Esteemed writer and researcher, Graham Hancock, will preside over the panel in collaboration with the renowned DMT expert, Dr. Andrew Gallimore. The panel will feature the brave explorers of Imperial College London’s recent groundbreaking Extended DMT research: Carl Hayden Smith, Jack Allocca, Alexander Beiner, and Anton Bilton, who will illuminate the audience with their personal narratives of traversing the extended DMT state.

Drawing parallels with the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI), the focus of the discourse will be on the profound encounters with DMT entities.

Just as SETI deciphers signals from distant stars, our panelists will unravel and interpret their experiences in the DMT realms, potentially reshaping our understanding of reality.

Startups Have an Fun New Idea: Workplace Ketamine Sessions

What Da fuck😱

these alleged therapy sessions are pretty much exactly what they sound like: users lay down with cloth over their eyes, wait for a facilitator to inject a syringe of the psychedelic in their upper arms, and trip with their coworkers.

Finally spent 2.5 hours listening this and haven't heard anything new for me except more details on application of psychedelic for fibromyalgia.

However, if you are relatively new to the field, who already watched some based Netflix movies but not ready to die into the deoths it's a good wrap up to bring you you from #fundamental to #novice skill level.

Holy macaroni, that's amazing 🤯

A new competition focused on “Psychedelic Cryptography” has awarded cash prizes to artists who made videos encoded with hidden messages that can be most easily deciphered by a person who is tripping on psychedelic substances, such as LSD, ayahuasca, or psilocybin mushrooms.

Psychedelics Unlock Learning Windows in the Brain - Neuroscience News

I've experienced that "window" and recently explored a possible ways of applying it to language learning and even tried one experiment.

Excited to hear that it's now proven scientifically and hope to continue experiments 😁

Psychedelic drugs, including ibogaine, ketamine, LSD, MDMA, and psilocybin, can reopen the “critical periods” of brain development in mice, making them more receptive to learning from their environment.

The length of these reopened critical periods varies depending on the psychedelic drug used, ranging from 48 hours with ketamine to four weeks with ibogaine.

The study also identified molecular mechanisms influenced by psychedelics, including 65 protein-producing genes that show expression differences during and after the critical period.
