‼️23rd April - Today in the UK they are testing the Emergency Alert System
It seems that because so many people have turned off the Emergency Alert notifications from their phones, that they have slipped in a new category of notifications.
These could override your previous settings even if you have chosen to turn the others off. Check your phone just in case:
Go to SETTING
Choose NOTIFICATIONS
Choose HOME
Check if you have an option that reads ‘Official Alerts’, if you do, you will find them switched ON. If you don’t wish to receive the Emergency Alerts, which apparently will lock your phone until you aknowledge receipt, TURN THEM OFF.
Pass it on!
