📢 VeryChat V2 Chat & Channel Migration Notice

Hello VeryChat community,

The VeryChat V2 update is coming soon, and as part of this upgrade, we will be migrating the existing V1 channel and chat system to a completely new infrastructure.

Ahead of the update, we’d like to share some important information that all channel owners and members should be aware of.

This migration is a necessary step to ensure greater stability and long-term scalability for VeryChat.

Please note that there are certain limitations on what data can be migrated, and we kindly ask for your understanding.

Be sure to review the details below before the V2 update goes live.

🔄 Why is migration necessary?

The V1 channel and chat system was built on Firebase.

With V2, we are transitioning to a fully new dedicated database to ensure better stability and long-term scalability.

This structural change is essential for the future growth of VeryChat.

📦 Migration scope

Due to technical and architectural differences, it is unfortunately not possible to migrate all data.

The following items will be migrated:

▫️ Channel basic information
▫️ Channel member list

❌ Existing channel posts and chat history cannot be migrated, for the same technical reasons.

We understand this is disappointing, and the team shares this sentiment.

🎯 Eligible channels for migration

This migration will apply to channels with 10 or more subscribers.

This criterion allows us to prioritize actively maintained channels.

💬 A message to our community

We sincerely regret that not all channel content and conversations can be carried over.

This decision was made to build a more stable and scalable foundation for VeryChat V2.

Channel features will continue to evolve and expand in V2, and we look forward to building healthier and more active communities together from this new starting point.

Hello, this is VeryChat.

We’ve identified an issue where Google login doesn’t respond or the account selection screen doesn’t appear on some Android devices.
This issue occurs under the following condition:

▫️ Trigger
The app moves to the background or is closed before completing the login process

▫️ Cause
A previous login session remains active, causing a conflict

We’ve already submitted a fixed version for app review, but the approval may be delayed due to the year-end schedule.

⚠️ Temporary workaround if this issue occurs

▫️ If the login button is unresponsive
→ Force close the app and try again after about 10 minutes
→ Once the previous session expires, the account selection screen will appear again

▫️ If the login button is completely invisible
→ Your system font size might be too large and hiding the button
→ Try reducing the font size in your device’s display settings

We apologize for the inconvenience and will restore stable service as soon as possible.

로그인 버튼 클릭 후, 로그인을 완료하지 않은 상태에서 앱이 백그라운드로 이동되거나 종료된 경우

이전 로그인 시도에서 생성된 세션이 살아있어 충돌이 발생

해당 문제는 앱 업데이트를 통해 수정 예정이며, 이미 수정 버전을 앱 심사에 제출한 상태입니다. 단, 연말로 인해 심사가 다소 지연될 수 있습니다.

⚠️ 오류 발생 시 임시 해결 방법

▫️ 로그인 버튼이 반응하지 않을 경우
→ 앱을 완전히 종료한 후 약 10분 뒤 재시도
→ 기존 세션이 만료되면 정상적으로 계정 선택 창이 다시 나타납니다

2025 was a truly meaningful year for VeryChat.
Our community grew more than tenfold — from 25,000 users to over 250,000 —
allowing us to connect with so many of you along the way.
It was also a significant milestone to see the first ecosystem stores where VERY Coin could be used in real life.

the quality and stability of the app did not keep pace with our rapid user growth,
and that we were unable to launch the desktop app within the year as originally planned.
Our team takes full responsibility for these shortcomings.

In 2026, our top priority will be the optimization and stabilization of the newly rebuilt VeryChat app.
Starting with the desktop app launch in Q1,
we will steadily execute our plans to further expand and strengthen the VeryChat ecosystem.
