So, for the very long time I've been thinkin' how there are parallels between Stella and Harley. And one of it - the same motivation, different moral compas.
Y'all remember how in first chapter, in pink tape about Stella, she was telling about how good it is to stay forever as a kid, and how we keep gettin older and just eventually die. Her wish is basically immortality YK, but being forever young.
And then, there's Harley. He has the same motivation as Stella - being immortal. But, he never thought about it as being immortal as a kid... Cause, I think, Harley actually stole that idea from her and too advantage out of it. Cause he probably thought - despite how off putting her statement sounds, she has a point.
Young minds are easy to manipulate and more easy to experiment since their body still keep on developing. So, Stella's tape make sense and how Harley got idea with BBI.
While Stella had good intentions with her speech, Harley made an evil output out of it.
And I think there's gonna be more parallels between them.
And I'm actually so glad to know that my theory was confirmed with Stella being one of those who caused/helped with The Hour of Joy. :-)
Cause Both Harley and Her did this. Both those who came up with these ideas, and those who caused the hour of slaughter to happen. They're polar opposites.
