Earlier, I had made the assumption that Hololive "affiliates" became a thing only after the Aqua graduation because of the adverse implications it had to the company. Both Ame and Chloe accepted the "affiliate" offer, and I had just assumed that Aqua missed out on an opportunity like this.

I now know that I was incorrect. Fauna had graduated and not only did she not accept "affiliate" status, but she went so far as to say that she loved being an idol, that she loved performing on stage, that she loved singing, and that her only reason to leave was disagreement with Cover Corp itself.

Aqua and Fauna were certainly both offered affiliate status, but were so disgruntled with the agency, that they refused to accept it.

All things are transient. Even the great pillars of the temples of old may fall, and with them, so might the rooves collapse along with your dreams.
Hold on to your oshis while you still can. Cherish every stream that they stream. You oshi may well be next.
