Ivermectin Works – Just Not for Big Pharma

drtesslawrie.substack.com/p/ivermectin-works-just-not-for-big

I’d like to extend a warm, heartfelt invitation to everyone to join me in celebrating World Ivermectin Day this Saturday. In truth, I feel that every day should be an ivermectin day – but this extraordinary medicine has been so maligned, few people are even aware of its healing properties, let alone have access to it.

Most of you know ivermectin’s story already: how it emerged as an effective treatment for Covid-19, and was then roundly dismissed by public health authorities, including the FDA, who described this Nobel Prize-winning medicine as just a horse dewormer.

You can view a summary of the ivermectin story on at WorldIvermectinDay.org, which I warmly encourage you to visit. In brief, every strange twist and turn in the Covid-19 crisis has played out in the battle over ivermectin. This is a tale of big pharma cartels, captured media, scientific corruption, compromised scientific journals, lives lost for want of early treatment, and lives saved because of this wonder drug.

Since our first World Ivermectin Day last year, more research has emerged confirming ivermectin’s efficacy in treating Covid-19. One new research paper is particularly exciting, and I’m delighted to be welcoming its author to a special World Ivermectin Day Tess Talks this week.

Sabine Hazan is a gastroenterologist, scientist and expert in the microbiome. Last year, on World Ivermectin Day she spoke about her research on ivermectin for Covid. This month, she published an important paper proposing the hypothesis that ivermectin may help to repopulate the microbiome. This is an exciting development, and here’s why.

As Sabine explains in our conversation, people susceptible to Covid-19 such as the elderly or obese, are observed to have decreased Bifidobacteria in their gut. Bifidobacteria is a key component of healthy gut flora and plays an important role in immunity. Sabine’s theory – based on her extensive research – is that ivermectin may act as a kind of probiotic and increase Bifidobacteria in the gut. This in turn may help boost natural immunity to Covid-19.

Ivermectin is for everyone: for the vaccinated and unvaccinated, for those suffering from Covid, and those suffering from vaccine injury. It has even been found to have anti-cancer properties. Given the explosion of long Covid, vaccine harms and cancers, the world needs access to ivermectin, now more than ever before. It is the medicine for our times.

It's Day 7 of the WCH Breathe Better Challenge!

Today we're practicing 4-7-8 Breathing.

The Science:
The 4-7-8 breathing technique is another relaxing technique. It has been successful in regulating the fight-or-flight response and helping to combat stress and anxiety. By forcing you to focus on your breaths rather than your worries, it helps you achieve a state of calm. Because the out breath is longer than the in breath you will find this technique helps you fall asleep more easily.

Preparation:
Get into a comfortable position, ideally lying on your back with feet hip-width apart and arms by your side. You may need a blanket as your body temperature may drop.

Technique:
1. Take a full breath in.
2. As you part your lips, breathe out through your mouth while making a whoosh sound.
3. Close your mouth and inhale through your nose to the count of 4.
4. Hold your breath for a count of 7.
5. Make another whooshing sound as you breathe out your mouth for a count of 8.
6. Repeat these steps as much as desired.

How did it feel? Have you tried this before?

#BreatheBetter

🚨 Twitter Permanently Bans World Council for Health Two Days Before World Ivermectin Day

On Thursday, Twitter permanently suspended the World Council for Health (WCH_org) from the platform without warning or detailed explanation. The suspension comes two days before World Ivermectin Day, an initiative to celebrate the medicine Ivermectin that relies heavily on social media, specifically Twitter.

An email from Twitter indicates that the account was suspended for “violating our rules against abuse and harassment,” going on to note that users “may not engage in the targeted harassment of someone, or incite other people to do so. This includes wishing or hoping that someone experiences physical harm.” The email does not provide any examples of tweets or content that constitute “harassment” or “abuse”.

WCH supporters that are on Twitter’s platform are invited to tweet directly to Twitter (@Twitter) and Twitter Support (@TwitterSupport) to demand that this suspension be immediately reversed.

Despite Twitter’s attempt at censorship in the lead-up to World Ivermectin Day, the initiative will not be silenced or slowed. Help to stop Twitter censorship by sharing World Ivermectin Day memes on Twitter using the hashtag #WorldIvermectinDay.

Celebrating #WorldIvermectinDay

Ivermectin is a decades-old antiparasitic and antiviral drug. It was first approved for human use in 1987. In 2015, scientists William Campbell and Satoshi Mura were awarded the Nobel Prize for their discovery of ivermectin, which has significantly reduced deaths from tropical infections.

After being administered a few billion times to vulnerable populations, including children and pregnant women, the drug took center stage in April 2020, when Australian researchers from Monash University found that just a single dose could stop SARS-CoV-2 from growing in cell culture.
