Yofukashi no Uta
Another work by Kotoyama-san, author of Dagashi Kashi. His signature bombshell of a character designs are back with a vengeance.
Despite the most simple premise and yet another schoolboy MC (albeit surrounded by mostly adult cast this time around), basic plot and a rehash of all the staple tropes, the show hits. I mean it. It Just Works™️
Great overall art direction - colorful picture, amazing atmospheric OSTs, banger of a OP and ED that I did not skipped even once.
This show managed to revive some of my distant memories, when I too roamed the streets and night with my friends, goofing around. So I guess this one is just personal connection.
But even without it, the girls are pretty, the jokes are silly and funny, the tone is light yet mysterious.
And the best part? S2 is next season. We are back!
I'll definitely read the manga later.
Anyway, great anime, go check it out. Most fun I've had in months.
