You know, warhammer 40,000 says "sucess is measured in blood: yours, or your enemies" well here, I'd say success is measured in resin: the stuff you waste or the stuff you cure. It came out smaller than I hoped, it's missing some details, and I don't think I can get all the christmasy details on there, but it fits perfectly in the snowglobe and it printed without incident. So I won.
"Nooooo! you didn't heckin' succeed! It's not clear! and you cheated in blender!" As for it not being clear, I have a theory: the cleaning liquid I used on it was contaminated with other resins of the past. maybe if I use cleaning fluid specifically for clear blue resin (a bucket of IPA specifically for that purpose) maybe next time I'll have better results. "But it's not heckin' detailed!" For that I have a simple fix: dry brushing. A little bit of dry brushing will bring out just enough detail. And yes, the light will shine right through it.
