The bust of spookyposter is a success. But next time I print something hollow, remind me to cut the thing in half first, yeah? Trying to get all those supports out of the inside is a bitch.
GM. There's still some wet resin on the inside of the model. So I've placed it on its back by the door so some wind can blow inside it. I feel incredibly stupid for not splitting this thing in half.
the bust is still wet on the inside. No update with that. But I did find some white dry compound and some... KINDA white(?) glow in the dark paint, so we can continue some projects. In the meantime, I will be digging some original stuff out of my sketchbook. Please excuse the roughness. I was a passenger in a car going over bumpy roads as I was doing them.
I'm printing the pumpkin ornament. The spooky bust is in the curing station. Once the curing is complete, I will plug up the holes with green stuff. Sand down things so they're nice and smooth, and then apply the primer. Then the painting can begin.

Spookyposter bust in the curing station. Every week bustin makes us feel good. and for a 3D model like this, 30 minutes in the UV light makes it feel good. @spooky please come back to us. Fridays will not be the same without you.

Alright. So I had an epiphany: GREEN STUFF SUCKS! I have inadvertantly screwed up the model with it. So we're doing it over. This time, we're splitting it in half and just gluing that bitch together.

You know what? Blender can eat it. I'm not going through the headache of splitting this whole model in half today. I'll print it solid. No inside supports. No greenstuff. None of that.
Threw 'er in the prin'er. Time to go play video games. Need to go into palworld and build a base dedicated to extracting crude oil. DADDY NEEDS HIS JUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUIIIICE
The spookyposter bust Mk 2 has been taken out of the wash. and it's HUUUUGE. It dwarfs the Mk I. And the best part? All the supports just came right off. Not a single support anywhere in sight. Of course I hollowed out the middle a bit. There's a cone underneath, but that's it. My pumpkin ornament doesn't fit perfectly around the little ball in the middle meant to hold the hat BUT that's ok too. It'll be the one (and last) time I use green stuff (hopefully.)
GA and habby birthday to me! The spookyposter bust still hasn't fully dried off yet. So I'm leaving the doors to the shed open. That should do the trick, right? Once that's done, I'll throw it right into the curing station. Speaking of the curing station, I've thrown the pumpkin ornament in there too. All three pieces. It should be ready by now, so I'll go out there and take it out. Prime it in the box alongside the MK 1 Spooky bust (Giving it away to someone out here that wants it despite it being a mess. Not wasting resin.)
