My first image ever scanned on Linux!

I've moved all my paints inside so I can finish up the green dragon by crimbo!
I've been so distracted with getting settled into linux that I forgot to GM post this weekend! Here, have this project I'm doing indoors. The leafs on the wings are proving very difficult to paint, maybe the wash and the drybrush will take care of that.

addendum: I should've waited for the guitars to kick in. this is close enough!
GM! It looks like my laptop is begging to be linux'd too. The trackpad is playing games with me. "Oh you want to use it for the PIN screen? Sure? Oh on the deskthop? Mmm... no. Teehee!" Begone, demon.
My laptop is fighting tooth and nail to keep me from installing linux. The boot menu will NOT load my USB.
That did it. Soon as windows 11 went back to hell I got my trackpad back.

I kind of regret the way I've designed my dragon ornament. The little leaves on the wings are proving difficult to paint, even with the shade paint. the wings bend a little bit when I paint them. I worry this thing will break apart. I might need to redesign this whole thing and reprint it again in the spring with the tougher resin.
We got the glycerin for the snowglobe!

GA! This is a reminder that this is a CHANNEL. Not an account. It cannot send PMs (I think?)

Just glued up the snowglobe. Filled it with water and glitter and it... looks like crap. All the glitter is sticking to the varnish.
I had an idea for a fallout 4 mod, that might be cringe, but IDGAF. Here it is: Somewhere, this crazed wastelander asks the player to recover the holotapes and equipment for something called, oh idk, "Project Battlecry." The tapes contain power metal that plays at frequencies that give buffs to energy weapons, thrash metal that gives buffs to melee, 2000s metal that gives buffs to defense, etc. They were never intended for civilian use so that's why you never hear these on any radio. Is it just an excuse for me to put my playlist in fallout 4? Yes, what are you going to do about it?
And if I can ever mod custom armors and what not into the game, first order of business is going to be to replace that AWFUL overboss armor. Why does raider power armor look like crap? I know it's made of scrap metal, but you can't put skulls and horns on it? You'll break all the rules of making power armor, but adding the stretched anguished faces of your victims is too much? Please.
seriously. Look at this piece of crap. Does this look even remotely intimidating? Is this the kind of thing you'd expect an evil overloard to wear? NO!
Now THIS. This is much closer. a much more terrifying looking suit. Just ask those poor vault dwellers in the opening cinematic of fallout 2
come to think of it... some day I need to sit down in blender and see what this puppy can do on linux.
This is the end result. 1) glitter sticks to the model, obscuring everything inside. 2) the glue on the bottom ran down the side of the globe. 3) the glitter clumps together.

Where did we go wrong?

1) the varnish
2) letting it stay upside down was not a good idea
3) the glitter is crap.
