sentdex used to do python tutorials now he says making tutorials is pointless in the age of LLMs and is now pivoting to making content about his ranch, which I think is pretty cool

Did anybody else feel an earthquake?
Another one? Is there an explanation for this?

I woke up just before the earthquake

This is what the average house in the US looks like.
We should take notes.
How much metal went into it?
How much cement?
We should stop using cement and metal, we use it sooooo much its insane, it will only drive house prices up.
I used to not like US houses but now I get it. Now they can get away with not making that much steel.
Its actually the perfect time to start building these kinds of homes. Whoever does it will be extremely rich and only has to lower the price slightly than cement and steel eating homes and will have a huge profit margin. They mostly use wood which is a renewable resource *technically, You can't grow steel or cement.
With this model everyone can still get a home. Land is not an issue, its the material.
I've started seeing very thin columns and floors the people are feeling it.

I never thought I would be advocating for homes like this. Aesthetics wise. But on a macro scale economy comes before everything.
Lets be realistic you really don't need cement walls in your house.
Its genius. Cudos to the Americans who figured this out.
If someone makes this startup I will be wiling to invest my $12 worth of bitcoin.
But seriously make this and drive down house prices so I don't become homeless
Most of your house could be prefabbed
We spend all our money on stupid walls and columns, and can't afford great interior, the Americans don't spend that much on walls and columns so they fully deck out their houses with the best interior.
American house prices are still overpriced because its a monopoly but If you wanted to build a house on your own, it would actually be very cheap. Its the contractors that screw you. US has big problem with people just ripping each other off
idiot index
why the heck do we use all that cement anyway. that's what is driving up house prices, its almost like a death spiral, cement prices go up, people who want to buy cement will raise the price of the house they built, house prices will rise, which raises the price of cement and metal.
This is insurance for when ai takes my job
Why do we use wood, steel and cement?
How come we don't have any smart materials yet?
So much potential for innovation
We need a new material!
Stay tuned for more schitzo rants about random shit

Most epic use case for gene editing.
You modify the Gene of weed so that it takes on a circular shape instead of it's well known shape so that you can grow it without worrying about feds
If you are that good at Gene editing you can actually make yeast to produce different kinds of substances for you, like psilocybin, LSD... The sky is the limit. It's like creating a mini factory.
Bioengineering is so cool but it's barely reached its full potential. Like we can already do so much but we are held back by regulation and neglect
If you want to change the world study chemistry and bioengineering. But universities won't show you the cool stuff like how to modify weed.
I can't wait until I one day buy all the equipment and AI teaches me everything bahahaha

Check out this guy's channel he has a lot of cool stuff about bioengineering, gmo yeast specifically.

How to Make Psilocybin with Yeast | Journal Club
Psilocybin and psilocin are the active ingredients in magic mushrooms. In this paper review, I go over how researchers genetically engineered baker's yeast to produce these valuable compounds! The paper is noscriptd:

I used to think physics, but you won't really contribute to the future. The future is quantum. And you can skip everything and study that since it's different from everything else in physics.
Physics is in a little bit of a mess rn. Unless you have plans to fix the mess unify relativity with the quantum world. Discard or prove string theory. Or create your own provable theory. Then I wouldn't recommend physics.
Study everything on a needs basis
Sure an LLM can't reason alone, but Agents can, or they are pretty close.
An LLM gives a one-shot response, where as humans constantly reflect and improve there response. To see this in action ask a human and an LLM to write a blog. The LLM will do it in one-shot, the human will write a draft and constantly improve it. You can tell an agent to do that.
