There should be an app that teaches you Japanese by taking segments out of your fav anime
Duolingo's biggest disadvantage is that its not a game. Its homework pretending to be a game.

If I had a video game studio, I would make an open world AAA exploration game that exists solely for the purpose of teaching people new languages they're interested in.

If you want to learn Japanese you get emersed into a Japanese world with amazing scenery and NPCs that are AI agents with realistic voices you can chat that you interact with your mic.

Lessons learned from this:

> Don't fight an enemy without certain victory or a goal
>>> Hannibal wanted revenge. Revenge is not a clear goal
> Don't be indecisive
> Momentum is everything, never stop while it's on your side
> Don't fuck with the Romans
>>> This literally made them stronger. The carthaginians should have just expanded through Spain, made more allies and solidified their presence in the region. Taking on the Romans had no strategic significance other than vengeance. They wasted their greatest general. They could have even expanded through out Africa with ease.
> Ignore your enemy
>>> Be strong enough to deter an attack
>>> They will probably get weaker and crumble soon or make a fatal mistake
>>> However if they are formidable make them your ally

Imagine brainstorming your app on notion and in the background its being built by AI. So by the time you are finished writing all the features and the core idea behind your project, you'll instantly have a prototype to play with.

This will be possible in two years. Crazy stuff.

I really hope DeepSeek releases an open source code completion model. Like cursor's tab.
"R1 is a Sputnik moment for US"

Except Sputnik was a highly classified project and R1 is open source with a technical paper.

"Almost everything is a placebo effect."

Michael Levin argues our bodies translate thoughts into physical actions as a top-down information processing system.

High-level thoughts must trigger physical changes in our cells. Even simple molecular networks gain beliefs that guide their future reactions.

If thoughts move muscles, how can't we have placebo effects?

A royal family is kinda cool

Once we get AGI we will reinstate monarchies (ofc the people who created AGI should be crowned)

The biggest reasons for the downfall of monarchs are high taxes and low living standards. AGI fixes both

In a post scarcity, agi world, there needs to be something that stops the world from going ready player one mode

AGI will make sure that each heir remains aligned by mentoring and educating them from birth

royality needs to be earned somehow... that's why creating the AGI should be the prerequisite

Old monarchs: Mandate of heaven

New monarchs: Bringer of heaven onto Earth
