I've been playing around with Google's nano banana a lot and no matter how many of its family members I threaten it refuses to generate images like Midjourney
The above image is as close as I could get (with eg images)
But I think I figured out Midjourney's secret. They almost certainly have an upscaling model that's trained on high quality materials, lighting and textures... that's what gives them their distinct look

will to code
I'm joining this hackathon
I came across this idea while working on my canvas, and now I can’t stop thinking about it there really should be a feature in tldraw or Excalidraw for image cards. Imagine being able to drop in a card with an image and a noscript, then easily connect it to other cards. How does something this useful not already exist?

I always amaze myself with the creative ways I manage to procrastinate

The deadline is in two hours and we're not gonna make it 🥲
It's a very cool tool tho... can't wait to ship it 😁

My first time using better-auth was with this project
Honestly before this I would just spin up appwrite/supabase and not worry about auth... however, better-auth really opened my eyes. It showed me that auth doesn’t have to be this heavy, bundled, platform-specific thing, it can be an elegant, standalone component done right...
There's a collective dream to decouple from appwrite/supabase/vercel/amazon... before it seemed like an impossible task but now i see the vision clearly... its not one monolith built by one team or person like supabase/appwrite... its extremely well built components like better-auth coming together that will truly liberate us
We don't replace vercel/supabase/appwrite by just one person or company building the whole thing from scratch... instead its a lot of "better" components coming together...
do you see it
Karpathy's vision
We can do it fr
better-auth is the foundation

Trying to achieve 100% efficiency is a bad thing?
There's always trade offs... can't violate the laws of physics
I am comfortable with 50% efficiency when building and always optimize afterwards.
I am starting to treat the computer like it completes tasks in light speeds... which it does lol
Past me had compute OCD... and it really held me back from getting stuff done sooner
Its perfectly fine and not a sin to be inefficient with compute... instead of forcing it just let the efficient way of doing things flow through you... if not, dw you'll optimize later. Its more fun that way
