The polychaete worm.

As they feed, these amazing creatures extend their throat and jaws outward to grasp their prey.

Creepy? Maybe. But it's simply amazing that these animals lived on Earth half a billion years ago, when there was no life on land in the first place.

🆘 The U.S. is heading for a crisis, so we need to get ready too

JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon feels the pulse of the economy like no one else - and he expects a crisis in the US. It will affect the whole world, including Russia.

Dimon urges us to prepare for the worst-case scenario:

- inflation will continue to rise, it is already very reluctant to come down
- and experts are also expecting expensive oil, which is a powerful driver of price growth.
- so the Fed will have to raise rates up to 7%.

The world is not ready for such a scenario, says Dimon. The cost of servicing loans and government debt in the U.S. has not yet fully responded even to the current increases, but the economy has already accumulated a lot of problems:

- companies are going bankrupt
- people are borrowing.
- savings are running out, and student loans are about to be paid off.
- as rates rise, bonds will get cheaper, which could bring back the banking crisis.

And if the Fed goes to 7%, the problems will get worse. When the world's main economy is sick, it's hard on the rest of the world. Even countries that trade less and less directly with the United States. But still the crisis will "peek" through friendly partners, because business activity will drop everywhere. This will reduce demand for key exports: fuel, metals and agriculture.

Ada Augusta Lovelace.
In the middle of the 19th century, she made a plan of operations for the prototype of the modern computer, Charles Bebbidge's analytical machine, which could be used to solve Bernoulli's equation expressing the law of conservation of energy of a moving fluid.

A gorilla named Michael is the first "talking" male gorilla in history to learn to communicate through gestures. His vocabulary included more than 600 words, and thanks to gestures the zoo workers learned about the fate of his parents. Michael was able to "tell" that his mother was killed by poachers for meat.

Just imagine how many stories we would learn if we taught this language to all the primates!
