Wow! This cargo ship’s arrival is apparently a big deal for Charleston!
SC Governor Henry McMaster and Congresswoman Nancy Mace will be present to greet the container ship, the Marco Polo.
“The vessel is named for the famous explorer known for traveling the Silk Road to China.”
The container ship is owned by CMA CGM Group.
I am not very familiar with container ships.
What is being shipped in all of those containers?
Do any officials check to see what is contained in them?
