"A fully albino crab was caught last weekend just south of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge by an Annapolis crab potter. The crab was then sold to a family who does a crab feast every Halloween - when they got to the bottom of the bushel basket they realized that they had a pretty unique crab in the mix.
The white crab, which was in perfect condition, was spared from the steamer. The family contacted me about figuring out what to do with the crab - of course a photo shoot was the first thing that came to mind. I have seen a few partially albino crabs, but never a full albino. The crab was kept alive at my dock for two days before I took him out for a swim near Bloody Point at the southern tip of Kent Island. After photographing the crab, I took him to the Annapolis Maritime Museum & Park where he is now on exhibit in their bay tank - go check him out!"
