A black mirror is a portal to a different dimension. Anything that is has a mirror surface can be employed as a portal. Your LED TV is a portal all the time. One would believe that when the TV is on it is no longer a viable medium for a portal, but due to refresh rates on the screen there is always an unlit portion that span the entire screen (horizontal or vertical) and that is enough of an opening to alow access from the mirror realm
