In 2024, Russia exported $1.7 billion worth of meat, up 24% from the previous year. The main buyers were China, Saudi Arabia, and Belarus. In physical terms, this was 387,000 tons of chicken, 254,000 tons of pork, and 40,000 tons of beef.
The total volume of livestock and poultry production for slaughter reached 16.7 million tons, that is another record. In 2024, there was also a record domestic meat consumption, about 83 kg per person.
