This year has been a remarkable journey for the Educational Leadership Development Program (ELDP)! Together, we achieved incredible milestones, including:
📚 28 Core Participant Trainers from all 14 regions of Uzbekistan completed two intensive training modules, totaling 144 hours, plus four days of Training of Trainers.
💡 They mastered strategic planning, community engagement, and innovative teaching methods to drive positive change in education.
🌟 Now prepared to cascade their knowledge, these trainers will inspire and equip 280 school administrators across Uzbekistan in 2025.
Funded by the U.S. Embassy, ELDP—implemented by American Councils for International Education in partnership with the Ministry of Preschool and School Education and designed by George Mason University with local experts—is empowering education leaders nationwide.

Position Summary:
The C5 + O.N.E. (Opening Networks through English) Logistics Assistant will work in a team with the Program Director, Senior Program Officer and Program Officer on the project that supports English for specials purposes (economic development) for young professionals throughout Central Asia. The Logistics Assistant will provide programmatic support to implement this project delivering English for special purposes programming.

C5+O.N.E. Cohort Four Launches in Uzbekistan with Focus on English for Economic Development
On May 26, 2025, the C5+O.N.E. (Opening Networks through English) Program launched the Cohort Four focusing on “English for the Economic Development” in Uzbekistan. The C5+O.N.E. Program is funded by the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs of the U.S. Department of State and administered by the American Councils for International Education.
The Cohort Four launched in Tashkent, Nukus, Fergana, and Urgench, for over 170 participants primarily representing government/state-owned organizations and companies (63%), non-governmental organizations (26%), and private companies (11%). Participants will take part in both curricular and extracurricular activities, including a national networking event, a national workshop (graduation ceremony), and a regional conference. These activities aimed to strengthen participants’ English proficiency and support regional cooperation to enable Central Asian professionals to engage more effectively with U.S. counterparts.
Cohort Four marks an important step in advancing economic development and professional connectivity across the region and with the United States professional community through English language learning and networking.
