In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian forces made a small advance in the village of Torske, recapturing previously lost positions.

Ukrainian forces advanced south from their positions in the fish farm on the northern outskirts of Torske and pushed south to the northernmost houses of the village, capturing positions there and taking Prisoners of War.

+ ~0.76km² in favour of Ukraine.

In the Kostyantynivka direction, Russian forces made new progress in and near the city of Toretsk, capturing new positions.

Russian forces made further progress in the northern residential part of the city, capturing further positions which were in the grey zone, on Rizdvyana, Nesteranka, Kozheduba streets, among others. The frontline was levelled out towards the Terykons on the outskirts of the city.

To the north, Russian forces advanced further along the railway line to Kostyantynivka and captured most of the village of Dyliivka, including the train station. The electrical substation on the outskirts as well as a few nearby buildings are still in the grey zone.

+ ~0.39km² in favour of Russia.

In the Kostyantynivka direction, Russian forces advanced and captured further positions in and around the recently formed salient southwest of Toretsk.

Russian forces advanced north to the village of Romanivka and entered the eastern houses after securing the rest of the treeline to the south and making progress in the forests along the western bank of the tributary of the Kryvyi Torets River.

Additionally, Russian forces entered the first houses of the village of Stara Mykolaivka, capturing the southern part of the settlement, as well as the local medical centre.

+ ~1.14km² in favour of Russia.

On the eastern flank of Pokrovsk, Russian forces have made significant progress and captured most of the village of Malynivka.

Russian forces advanced west from their positions at the ruined Kostyantynivka - Pokrovsk highway overpass and entered the eastern part of Malynivka. They quickly pushed through the village, capturing the central and western parts, before further progress was made along the highway, forest plantations and eventually the residential area on the southern bank of the tributary of the Kazenyi Torets River.

Fighting is still ongoing for the western part of Malynivka, with Ukrainian forces maintaining a presence there. Russian forces were also able to capture treeline positions north of the village, as well as some trench fortifications.

After this advance, Russian forces pushed north from the area of the ruined overpass and captured positions along four treelines southwest and west of the village of Nova Poltavka, as well as a series of trench fortifications to the south. They began storming Ukrainian positions in one of the agricultural complexes, although it is unclear if they were able to capture any positions there. For now, it's in the grey zone.

Meanwhile in Nova Poltavka itself, Russian forces made further progress in the village, completing the capture of the southern residential area, reaching the dam at the adjacent reservoir on the Poltavka River. The treeline parallel to the southern residential area was also captured.

+ ~12.93km² in favour of Russia.

On the eastern flank of Pokrovsk, Russian forces renewed their assault operations in the village of Myrolyubivka and captured the rest of the village, as well as some other nearby important positions.

Russian forces pushed northwest form the southern residential area and captured the village centre. The majority of the fighting took place for the northern part of the village which the Russians eventually took under their control. In addition to this, they were able to advance along the western bank of the Kazenyi Torets River and captured the neighbouring village of Mykhailivka.

The other area where Russian forces advanced was to the south, where they were able to finally clear the Ukrainian bridgehead on the eastern bank of the Kazenyi Torets River, capturing the forested areas and treelines, before utilising their control over the northern part of the town of Hrodivka to push up the western bank of the Zhuravka river, getting behind the former Ukrainian bridgehead and capturing the forested areas south of Myrolyubivka.

+ ~6.81km² in favour of Russia.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces advanced and completed the capture of the village of Dachenske.

Russian forces advanced north from the central part of Dachenske, crossing the Solonyi River and capturing the northern residential area of the village in the form of a new bridgehead on the northern bank of the river. Further positions were also captured in the nearby forested areas.

+ ~0.19km² in favour of Russia.

On the western flank of Pokrovsk, Russian forces made further progress in the villages of Zvirove and Leontovychyi, as well as outside of the villages.

Russian forces advanced deeper into Leontovychyi and captured the rest of the main part of the village. They also advanced south along the opposite bank of the tributary of the Solona River, capturing most of the village of Zvirove. As a result of these advances, Russia is now less than 900m away from the southwestern outskirt of Pokrovsk.

To the northwest, Russian forces restarted their assault operations towards the Pokrovsk - Mezhova highway and recaptured previously lost positions in the forest plantations in the low-lying ground as well as in the nearby treelines. Once these positions were captured, they pushed north to the next set of forest plantations, capturing positions in the southern part of them and pushing the grey zone back to the highway.

+ ~2.15km² in favour of Russia.

In the Novopavlivka direction, Russian forces continued their advance and have made some minor progress towards the village of Muravka.

Russian forces advanced west from their positions in the forest plantations southeast of the village of Novomykolaivka and gained a foothold on the next treeline over. They then pushed south and captured further positions along it. This completes the capture of the "wedge" of land in between the gulleys and streams which intersects at Muravka.

+ ~1.56km² in favour of Russia.

In the Novopavlivka direction, both Russian and Ukrainian forces have made some progress, capturing and recapturing various positions.

Russian forces advanced from their positions southeast of the village of Bohdanivka and began their second storming operations on the settlement. Due to their significant progress to the north in the villages of Troitske and Horikhove, Russian forces were able to recapture previously lost positions in Bohdanivka and this time complete the capture of the village.

In addition to this, Russian forces advanced to the southeast of Bohdanivka, moving along two treelines and some forest plantations, completing the capture of one of the tactical heights, as well as seizing some positions in the low-lying ground to the south and northwest.

Ukrainian forces on the other hand managed to regroup and counterattack in the village of Horikhove. They pushed from their positions in the western part of the village, capturing the southern street, as well as the central and northern parts of the village. The easternmost street is now in the grey zone. Ukrainian forces also attempted to infiltrate back into Troitske, however the groups were likely destroyed by Russian forces.

+ ~6.33km² in favour of Russia.
+ ~1.48km² in favour of Ukraine.

In southwestern Donetsk Oblast, Russian forces continued their advance towards the border with Dnipropetrovsk Oblast and have made significant progress.

Russian forces advanced in three main areas. In the north, they were likely able to encircle some Ukrainian soldiers in the southeastern part of the village of Bahatyr, before pushing in a general northwesterly direction to the northwestern part of the village, raising their flags there and completing Bahatyr's capture.

To the south of Bahatyr, Russian forces advanced through three threelines, capturing positions along them and levelling out the frontline to the Bahatyr - Velyka Novosilka Road, while also capturing positions in the treeline which runs next to this road.

To the southwest, Russian forces advanced west from their positions in trench strongpoint west of the village of Rozdolne, bypassing Ukraine's defences from the north and capturing positions in the treelines and forest plantations in the low-lying ground. Once these positions were captured, Russian forces advanced uphill to the tactical heights, capturing further positions in three parallel treelines towards the village of Otradne.

+ ~25.39km² in favour of Russia.

In the Komar direction, Russian forces continued to advance and have captured most of the village of Vilne Pole.

Russian forces advanced in two main areas. In the north, they pushed west from their positions in the eastern part of Vilne Pole and captured the rest of the residential part of the village. Ukrainian forces likely still maintain a presence in the agricultural buildings on the western outskirts, however. They also advanced along the treeline to the south, capturing the last section of the Vilne Pole - Novosilka Road.

To the southwest, Russian forces advanced north along the western bank of the Vorona River and captured a treeline in the low-lying ground. In addition to this, they pushed west to a perpendicular treeline, entering the eastern part of it.

+ ~2.00km² in favour of Russia.

Russian forces have captured the village of Bahatyr, Komar direction, Donetsk Oblast. Pre-war population: ~1,700.
I'm seeing a lot of accounts make claims about Ukraine's control over Bahatyr. Here is my take on the control situation.

At least 13 Russian flags were raised across Bahatyr following the reports of Russian forces capturing the village. All of these flags have been geolocated to be in the village, many of which are on the northwestern outskirts confirming Russia's control over it.

Three Ukrainian flag raises/take downs of Russian flags have been observed. The first was raised over the southeastern part of the village, with the video being posted nearly 2 days ago. This could've either been recorded on May 14-15 or May 11. This is due to the weather conditions in the video - it was sunny. If it was recorded on May 11, then it would mean that it was prior to the main Ukrainian withdrawal to the northwestern part of the village. If it was recorded on May 14-15, it would've been an encircled group of Ukrainian soldiers as Russian flags went up across the village shortly afterwards. There were reports of "pockets of resistance" remaining in the village which were being cleared up around May 15, so that fits in with the timeline considering most Russian sources are often ahead of themselves when they report on "clearing" or "combing" operations.

The second was on the western outskirts of Bahatyr in a very small electrical substation. A Ukrainian FPV drone hit a Russian flag, 2 Ukrainian soldiers ran in and then put the flag on the ground. This is not evidence of control, or a counterattack. The substation is at most in the grey zone right now.

The third involved two Ukrainian soldiers standing on a Russian flag before moving into a house. has not been geolocated and could've been filmed anywhere near the frontline. Additionally, the weather shows that it was recorded on May 14-15, 3-4 days ago. Furthermore, this flag was not one of the 13 flags shown on the Russian VoinDV video (the original channel to post the 13 Russian flag raises). This video is also not evidence of Ukrainian control over part of the village.

So what status is Bahatyr in? The residential part of the village is almost certainly under Russian control. The outskirts and approaches are either under Russian control or in the grey zone.

But let's say it isn't under Russian control. That wouldn't really matter as it would be soon. The main point of this post is not about the tactical side of the war, but the informational side and how both sides can spread disinformation and misinformation.

Just because the side you support has said something, it doesn't always mean it will be true. Always question what you see, factcheck, cross-reference, dig deeper and confirm. Anyone can say anything on the internet, and publish images, posts and videos that twists the truth to their favour and in turn sway the public opinion, even if it is on small things like a village in eastern Ukraine. Don't take everything at face value. You'd think that these are pretty simple and self-explanatory things, but you'd be surprised how many stubborn and closed-minded people there are out there who will refuse to listen to anyone who even mildly disagrees with them on a certain topic, especially if it is something that they are heavily invested in mentally and don't take lightly.

There's been lots of substantial advances across the frontline in Ukraine over the past 10 days, and not just on one sector - but multiple.

The front is cracking once again, but whether it will continue like this throughout summer is yet to be seen.

Very good points from a very reliable channel about the validity of large sources in Ukraine and Russia. It goes back to my point on always questioning what you see. If some people still aren't convinced about the fall of Bahatyr, here is a report from a Ukrainian channel with direct connections with soldiers on the ground:

"Unfortunately, the enemy repelled our counterattacks, which simply drowned in blood! The enemy was able to establish control over the village of Bahatyr and placed 6 rags in different parts of the village, also advanced further west of the village and occupied the farm buildings, stabilization measures are currently underway there! There is also a threat to Odradne, and not only from the east, but also from the north."

Deepstate update just dropped and.... no change to Bahatyr. In fact, according to them half of Andriivka and Kostyantynopil are still in the grey zone.

This is like that whole Klishchiivka situation all over again.

Although it's interesting to me how they are more willing to update other parts of the frontline, like western Zaporizhzhia Oblast today and the Lyman direction earlier. I suppose some fronts take priority in the sphere of informational warfare.

The Ukrainian GUR reports that Russia is planning to launch a "Yars" RS-24 Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) on the night of May 19 for training purposes from the area of Svobodny, Sverdlovsk Oblast.

The missile will apparently be launched by the 433rd regiment of the 42nd division of the 31st army of the strategic missile forces, with the GUR claiming that the purpose of the launch is to "demonstratively pressure and intimidate Ukraine, as well as the EU and NATO member states".

The RS-24 is a three-stage solid-fuel rocket with a range of over 10,000 Kilometres.
