— 🇮🇱/🇵🇸 Details of today's complex Al-Qassam ambush against an Israeli outpost in Gaza:

– A unit of 18 Hamas fighter emerged from a tunnel near a temporary IDF outpost in southern Khan Younis.

– The unit jumped over the dirt barrier and entered the outpost, targeting several Israeli Merkava IV tanks with Yassin-105 RPGs and IEDs from close range.

– One of the fighter managed to snipe the commander of a Merkava IV tank, fatally injuring him.

– Subsequently, the fighters began assaulting a building that housed IDF troops, with machine gun fire, grenades and RPGs.

– The unit then entered the building, killing severel Israeli soldiers at point-blank range, while also losing several of their own fighters in the process.

– When an Israeli rescue force arrived, the last Al-Qassam fighter emerged from a tunnel and blew himself up amidst the soldiers, leading to casualties.

– Lastly, the Al-Qassam Brigades fired mortar shells upon the entry and exits of the outpost, cutting off supply lines and preventing easy evacuation.

The following was used:

~12 Kh-101 cruise missiles, launched from 2 Tu-95MS in Engels District, Saratov Oblast).

~12 Kalibr cruise missiles, launched from 1 "Varshavyanka"-class submarine and 1 "Admiral Makarov"-class frigate in the Black Sea, off the coast of Anapa, Krasnodar Krai.

4 Kinzhal hypersonic aeroballistic missiles launched from 4 MiG-31Ks east of Lipetsk City, Lipetsk Oblast.

1 Zircon hypersonic cruise missile launched from Cape Chauda, Crimea.

Interception rates are unknown, but 2 Kh-101s are known to have been shot down over Kyiv Oblast.

Over 500 Geran-2 drones were also launched in several waves from several locations surrounding Ukraine.

The targets of the missiles were:

Mukachevo, Zakkarpatia Oblast.
Zaporizhzhia City, Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
Lviv City, Lviv Oblast.
Lutsk, Volyn Oblast.
Dubno, Rivne Oblast.
Sumy City, Sumy Oblast.

Geran-2 drones targeted the above cities, as well as:

Last night, Russian Kh-101 cruise missiles and Geran-2 drones struck the "Concern Electron" plant in Lviv City. The full extent of the damage is unknown.

This plant was previously targeted on July 12, 2025.

Last night, 3-4 Russian Kh-101 cruise missiles impacted the Motor Sich Plant in Zaporizhzhia City.

Locals report that Building 113 was the main target, which was used for producing engines for aircraft, drones and other light aviation. A large fire broke out afterwards.

Russian forces have captured the village of Bezsalivka, Bilopillya direction, Sumy Oblast.

Some general updates that I think are important to mention:

Kucheriv Yar (Dobropillya direction) remains under Russian control and has been used for new advances in multiple directions. The newest attacks have been taking place to the rear of the stronghold village of Shakhove, which Russia is trying to cut off by reaching Toretske. A strong push is also being made from Poltavka.

As for the Russian soldiers who were encircled last week, I wanted to wait a little to confirm this, but roughly 20 POWs were taken, around 15 of which surrendered near the small road north of Zolotyi Kolodyaz. The other ~5 were caught in the forests to the southeast. Everyone else was either killed or managed to escape back to the Kucheriv Yar area.

Russia has now regained the initiative in the Dobropillya direction and is making significant progress. I will post more on that later, though.

In the Bilopillya direction, Russian forces resumed their assault operations and managed to complete the capture of Bezsalivka.

After weeks of positional battles, with Ukraine holding no permanent presence in the village, Russian forces began attacking towards the western houses, which were subsequently captured. They were also able to improve their positions in the forested area to the north and secured another section of the forests along the international border.

Israeli defence Minister Israel Katz stated that the Knesset has approved the IDF ground operation aimed at occupying all of Gaza City.

He stated that this operation will take place through "heavy fire, civilian evacuation, and ground maneuver," and threatened to flatten the city if Hamas doesn't accept Israel's terms, including freeing all hostages and completely disarming.
