Update from the Sudanese Civil War:
The Sudanese armed forces have launched a series of counteroffensive operations in two directions over the past 24-48 hours. Let’s break down what we know:
In the Capital city of Khartoum, the heavy fighting broke out near the strategic “Al-Istritagia” site close to the Al-Muqrin area in western Khartoum following reports that the SAF managed to cross several bridges towards Khartoum, although the advisor to the RSF commander, Elbasha Tbaeq, said in a statement that these attacks were repelled. Smoke plumes were also seen rising from the vicinity of the armoured corps south of the capital. In the neighbouring city of Omdurman, SAF warplanes flew extensively over the city, conducting airstrikes on the “Al-Istritagia” headquarters in Al-Muqrin, Khartoum, which the RSF seized a few months ago.
Local sources also reported that heavy gunfire was heard and smoke plumes were observed in central Khartoum at the Arab Market, the army’s General Command headquarters, and near the army’s Signal Corps south of Khartoum Bahri. The SAF has been under siege in central Khartoum for months. The SAF also shelled RSF positions in Khartoum and Khartoum Bahri with heavy artillery from it’s positions in Omdurman, while the RSF responded by shelling positions north of Omdurman.
In the strategic city of Singa, in the Sennar state of Sudan, Local telegram channels affiliated with the Sudanese army reported that the SAF launched a ground attack on Singa which was captured by the RSF in July.
The assistant commander-in-chief of the Sudanese army had previously spoken about a comprehensive attack on all theatres of operations, by air and land, to destroy the RSF and its allied forces.
Meanwhile in Al-Fashir, Geolocated footage indicates that the RSF has continued to advance in the eastern part of the city, reaching the city centre. They were able to advance for ~390 metres down the B26 highway, and captured at least 1 SAF outpost. They are now getting very close to the mosque, and the city’s grand market, situated just 1.5km east of the 6th infantry division’s headquarters.

Ever since Ukraine recaptured the Vovchansk aggregate plant, Russian forces have been bombarding it with artillery, airstrikes and have been conducting FPV drone attacks. So far, at least 10 FAB-1500 bombs have been recorded falling on Ukrainian positions the plant. Considering the fact that the plant is practically destroyed, the casualties among the Ukrainian formations stationed there are probably catastrophic for their units.

The Ukrainian press secretary of southern grouping of forces, Vladislav Voloshin, stated that Russia has increased the range of their KAB glide bombs, and now has the capabilities to strike not only frontline areas, but also the centre of Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia and Kramatorsk.
Yesterday, the Motor Sich plant (which reportedly stores and produces and stores light armoured vehicles and used to produce engines for airplanes and helicopters) in central Zaporizhzhia City, was struck by a Russian KAB bomb. They have a range of ~42 km, and per Russian rules, the launch is carried out 40 km from the frontline. That gives us a total of 82km of flight.
The increase in the range of these bombs was reportedly because a new variant has been made called the KAB-500T which is more aerodynamic and has a larger total surface area of the wings.

Reliable reports indicate that the Sudanese Armed Forces have advanced over the Victory and While Nile bridges, and established a bridgehead on the eastern bank of the Nile River. Within this bridgehead is the National Bank and the GNPOC tower. Heavy fighting is also being reported in the area of the botanical gardens. This would put the SAF less than 3km from the besieged SAF troops in the city centre.

Geolocated footage indicates that Russian forces have advanced in Makiivka, and have established control over the majority of the village.
Following the establishment of a bridgehead on the western bank of the Zherebets river, Russian forces continued to expand their area of control in the residential houses. This was likely done by attacking westwards (to prevent being pushed back across the river), before launching attacks to the south along the riverbank to the southern part of the settlement.
It is possible that a second bridgehead was made further south to link up with the advance from the north, although this has not been confirmed due to the lack of information on this sector of the front line.
Makiivka was one of the last Ukrainian-held strongholds in Luhansk Oblast, and its loss will significantly hamper the overall defensive operations of the last section of the Oblast.
