In the west, Russian forces consolidated in the rest of Nove Shakhove following earlier infiltrations, allowing for them to accumulate and begin attacks on Vilne. In the east, Russian forces began pushing northwest from the gulley west of Shakhove and captured new positions in the forested areas in the direction of the clay quarries.
