The radars failed, I guess.
It seems there was some sort of malfunction with Ukrainian radars in western Ukraine during the attack. This could explain the extremely minimal interception rate on the Kh-101 and Kalibr cruise missiles.

One thing I will never understand is why so many people in the "Pro-Ukraine" sphere consider anyone who doesn't support Zelensky or the Ukrainian Government Pro-Russian.
For example, I live in New Zealand. I love my country and I want it to do well - but I don't support my current government.
Most Ukrainians who I've spoken to don't support Zelensky. According to most "Pro-Ukrainians", these Ukrainians would be Kremlin propagandists.
It's a real cult-like mindset. "If you aren't with us 100%, you are the enemy".

Over the last 8 hours, Ukraine has attacked energy infrastructure in Belgorod City 4 more times with dozens of HIMARS and other rockets.
As a result, widespread power, heating, and water outages occurred across Belgorod City and the surrounding towns and villages.
The attacks were assisted by Ukrainian reconnaissance drones, which circled over the city adjusting the strikes.
Among the targets hit were:
- Belgorod Thermal Power Plant (50.60009, 36.61893)
- Luch Thermal Power Plant (50.561053, 36.580258)
- "Frunzenskaya" 330 kV electrical substation (50.65719, 36.41583).
- "Belgorod" 330 kV electrical substation (50.60633, 36.6652).
The attached video shows what appears to be an M31 GMLRS airburst rocket exploding above the Luch TPP, along with other rocket impacts.

Regarding Russian strategic aviation movements:
Following yesterdays attack which involved 4 Tu-95MS and 2 Tu-160M strategic bombers, all aircraft landed at Engels-2 Airbase, Saratov Oblast. The 4 Tu-95MS had originally taken off from Olenya Airbase, Murmansk Oblast, while the 2 Tu-160s had originally taken off from Ukrainka Airbase in the far east.
Since then, all 4 Tu-95MS were re-equipped with Kh-101 cruise missiles following the deliveries of new missiles to Engels-2 Airbase by An-124-100 "Ruslan" cargo planes.
The 2 Tu-160M strategic bombers have redeployed from Engels-2 Airbase, back to Ukrainka Airbase. It's likely that they will be re-equipped with missiles in the far east.
1 Tu-95MS has also redeployed from Engels-2 to Ukrainka Airbase after being equipped with missiles. It's possible that 2 more Tu-95MS followed after.
2-3 Tu-95MS redeployed from Engels-2 to Olenya Airbase after being equipped with missiles. 1 of these has since flown back to Ukrainka Airbase.
The 3 Tu-22m3 strategic bombers which were airborne from Olenya Airbase during the attack, subsequently landed at Soltsy-2 Airbase, Novgorod Oblast.

According to the Russian FSB, the perpetrator of the assassination attempt on Vladmir Alekssev is a Ukrainian man named Lyubomir Korba, born in Ternopil Oblast.
They stated that he had previously received Russian citizenship, and was given orders by Ukraine to carry out the assassination attempt at the end of 2025.
Korba was able to escape to the UAE, but was detained by the UAE in cooperation with Russia, and extradited back to Russia. Two others Viktor Vasin and Zinaida Serebryakova assisted Korba in the assassination attempt. Vasin was arrested in Moscow while Serebryakova successfully fled to Ukraine.

In the Omelnyk direction, both Russian and Ukrainian forces are advancing.
In the south, Russian forces continued to incrementally push north, as Ukrainian forces, faced with significant logistical issues, slowly abandoned their positions there. As a result, the Russians managed to improve their positions along 3 treelines, and gained a foothold in another set of railway windbreaks, from which they are infiltrating further northwest in an attempt to cut off the Ukrainian positions in the remaining treelines east of the railway line.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces began carrying out a series of counterattacks southwest of Hulyaipole, and captured a number of treeline positions further east. From there, Ukrainian DRGs are attempting to reach and enter the southern outskirts of Hulyaipole, however their operations are now being complicated by the Russian flanking maneuver up the railway line.
To the northwest, Russian forces consolidated in a number of treelines west of Hulyaipole and managed to finally secure the village of Staroukrainka and the surrounding areas. From here, they are accumulating infantry and attempting to enter the northeastern streets of Zaliznychne via a gulley. Attempts at consolidation are being significantly complicated by Ukrainian assault groups carrying out constant clearing operations, however other Russian infiltrators are penetrating deeper into the southeastern part of the town.
To the north, Russian forces consolidated in the forest plantations west of the chain of reservoirs, and managed to completely capture the village of Sviatopetrivka and the treelines to the north. Other assault groups broke through Ukrainian defences northwest of Zelene, capturing new positions in the direction of Tsitkove, with some soldiers reaching the eastern outskirts of the village.
Further north, following a number of Ukrainian counterattacks, the Russians regained the initiative and broke back out of Olenokostiantynivka, recapturing the treelines south of the reservoir.
+ ~14.05 km² in favour of Russia.
+ ~0.94 km² in favour of Ukraine.

In the Omelnyk and Pokrovs'ke directions, both Russian and Ukrainian forces are advancing.
In the south, Russian forces finally managed to consolidate in the northern part of Pryluky, and immediately began expanding their operations to the the trenches to the northwest, where they were able to occupy some positions. Attacks from the north also allowed them to take some positions west of Dobropillya, thereby connecting their bridgehead over the Haichur River with the rest of the front.
To the northwest, following the Russian infiltrations into Ternuvate, Ukraine brought in reinforcements to the area and cleared the northern part of the town. From there, they pushed south, and engaged in battles for the southwestern streets, which they were eventually able to recapture. Most of the Russian soldiers have been expelled from Ternuvate, however the southeastern streets remain in the grey-zone, with fighting ongoing. At the same time, Russian forces began infiltrating further west and into the village of Prydorozhnje, which is now in the grey-zone.
To the east, the Russians continued their assault operations against the Ukrainian bridgehead east of the Haichur River, and recaptured the central part of Nove Zaporizhzhya. They also further improved their positions in the treelines to the east and are trying to break through the right flank of the Ukrainian salient.
+ ~5.70 km² in favour of Russia.
+ ~4.90 km² in favour of Ukraine.
