🏳️🇧🇫#BREAKING - JNIM conducted this morning a large-scale assault on the city of Djibo, capturing several army positions and checkpoints.

Djibo, a city in northern Burkina Faso on the border with Mali, has been besieged by the group for the last 3 years and every attempt to break the siege has failed so far.

The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) restarted offensive operations in the North Kordofan state in the direction of the city of Umm Rawaba. They advanced along the highway, and through the desert to the north, capturing the villages of Umm Khaireen and Umm Daldamaya.…
The SAF is advancing from two directions on Umm Ruwaba, the south and the east, squeezing the RSF out. At this moment, all of the city except for the western suburbs are in a grey zone.

Explosions in Starokostyantyniv, Khmelnytskyi Oblast. A Russian Geran-2 drone presumably targeted the air base there.

At least 8 KAB glide bombs stuck Pokrovsk within half an hour today. Probably not part of an intensified bombing campaign, but there has been intensified shelling of the Dobropillya area to the north of the city.

Correction of the frontline in the Pokrovsk direction:

Some time ago, Russian forces advance from positions on the outskirts of the village of Zvirove, into the residential part of the village, taking up positions in the houses there. They also captured a nearby forest plantation.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces are reportedly counterattacking and have apparently advanced by around 400 metres.

+ ~0.23km² in favour of Russia.

Correction of the frontline in the Pokrovsk direction:

Some time ago, Russian forces advanced from the eastern houses of the village of Lysivka, reaching the central part, where they took up positions in the local school and surrounding houses. They also captured a nearby farm.

It's possible that Ukraine maintains a small presence in the southeastern part of the village, but for now, I have marked it as part of the grey zone. It's difficult to get reliable and useful information on what is happening in Lysivka, but it appears that Ukraine has been putting up a lot of resistance here.

+ ~0.46km² in favour of Russia.

Russian forces advanced in the Toretsk direction, taking up new positions in and nearby the village of Shcherbynivka.

Much of this advance is likely old, but Russian forces are now confirmed to be in control of the last of the three Terykons in western Toretsk, as well as the racetracks and a series of forest plantations.

The newer part of the advance is likely in Shcherbynivka, where Russian forces captured positions in the houses on Kuybyshevka street, as well as the other unnamed street perpendicular to it.

Russian forces have now mostly levelled out the frontline southwest of Toretsk. Once the forests to the north are cleared, future assault operations from the city, outwards, will be much easier.

+ ~4.09km² in favour of Russia.

In the Chasiv Yar Direction, Russian forces began assault operations towards the Shevchenko district of the city.

They advanced from their new positions west of the fortified bunker system, capturing new positions in the forests south of the city centre.

Russian infantry were able to reach the Shevchenko district but were forced to roll back after encountering more resistance than expected. There is now a large grey zone there, where both Ukraine and Russia operate regularly.

+ ~0.23km² in favour of Russia.

In the salient west of Kurakhove, Russian forces continue to slowly advance in the village of Dachne.

Russian forces advanced north from positions in the private residential area in the southern part of the village, taking up new positions in the kindergarten. They then went on to attack the houses to the east, capturing them too.

It is reported that the activity of Ukrainian drones has decreased over the past 24 hours, although the reason is currently unknown.

+ ~0.06km² in favour of Russia.

Russian forces have conducted a widespread KAB bombing campaign on Donetsk Oblast over the past 24 hours.

Targets in Pokrovsk, Dobropillya, Kostyantynivka, Druzhkivka, Kramatorsk, Slovyansk, Mykolaivka and Lyman were hit.

An Iskander-M ballistic missile was even launched at Lyman, which has only happened once before.

Additionally, something in eastern Dnipropetrovsk Oblast was hit by a KAB glide bomb.

Fighters from the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) are now set to complete their incremental withdrawal from the city of Lashio in the Northern Shan state by June this year, as per terms of the new Chinese-brokered ceasefire with the State Administrative Council (SAC).

Not quite sure how this will play out considering the SAC only controls the roads south and southwest of Lashio, but it will be interesting to see, nonetheless.

Russia has once again begun targeting Ukrainian port facilities in Odesa Oblast with Geran-2 drones. This has occurred every day for the past 3 days, with reports of significant damage to the Danube port in the city of Izmail, which is a logistical hub for supplies coming from EU countries via Romania, as well as damage to repair bases for Ukrainian unmanned surface vehicles (USVs).

A few Ukrainian sources are reporting that Ukrainian forces counterattacked west of Kotlyne, recapturing part of a treeline and the ventilation shaft for the Kotlyne mines.

This is currently unconfirmed, but I will keep an eye on it. Ukraine has brought in reserves here, and has been counterattacking in Udachne, and possibly in Zvirove too.

Results of the Russian Geran-2 drone attacks on Ukraine from January 29-30, 2025, according to a Pro-Russian Ukrainian with local sources.

Odesa Oblast:

In Lebedivka, the administrative building of the border detachment, which served as a command centre and coordination headquarters for units responsible for patrolling the coast and border areas, was disabled. According to operational data, the basement of the administrative building housed the border detachment headquarters, which was responsible for the operational management of border units.

The Fortetsya hotel complex, which was used as a temporary deployment point for personnel and a storage area for equipment, was also damaged.

Additionally, in Chornomorsk, the territory of the Risoil Terminal logistics complex, which served as a key hub for transporting military cargo coming from NATO countries, in particular from Romania, was hit. According to available information, the terminal was used to deliver fuel, engineering equipment and components for armored vehicles intended for AFU units in the southern direction.

Three military trucks loaded with dual-use materials were destroyed. A fire also broke out in the warehouses where fuel, lubricants and tactical equipment were presumably stored.

ALDI logistics warehouses, which served as a transshipment center for dual-use cargo transiting through Odesa Oblast, were damaged.

The PS-110/10 kV "Chernomorsk" electrical substation, which supplied power to industrial enterprises, military facilities and logistics centres, was disabled. According to available data, power transformers TDTN- 63000/110 were damaged, which led to an emergency shutdown of the main power lines.

Kyiv Oblast:
In Kopyliv, a warehouse for storing material and technical supplies for the AFU which operated under the cover of civilian infrastructure (Logistic Union, ATB Market warehouses), was damaged. The facility stored ammunition, supplies, engineering equipment and tactical gear intended for distribution to the eastern and southern directions.

A pumping station, which ensured the functioning of the warehouse and the water supply system of adjacent facilities, was also destroyed. Its disabling will complicate the process of storing and transporting goods, which will create interruptions in the supply of AFU units.
