The third stage of the Puntland Defence Forces (PDF) offensive against IS-Somalia (Islamic State) in the Bari mountains of northern Somalia has entered its second day.

The Puntland Counterterrorism unit claimed that their forces have cleared most of the IS-Somal positions in the Miraale valley (circled in yellow), and killed several IS-Somal militants, including some who attempted a suicide attack.

The Houthis announced shooting down another U.S. MQ-9 "Reaper" drone over Sana'a governorate, Yemen. If true, this is the second in 24 hours.
