Finally finished this mirror painting! There’s not any super intentional symbolism behind it, I just did it because I thought it looked cool lol. Painted with acrylics so I have no idea how well it will hold up over time. Mirror was £4 from a charity shop, what a steal!

I wanted to sand the frame and re varnish it but right now I can’t be bothered. Thanks for looking ☺️

Dear doctor,

according to our telephone conversation of 30.11.07 I am sending you my statement on Mr. Geisler's letter of 05.11.70.

1. About Hermann Medinger and his position in the order of Illuminati:

Medinger was part of the order of Illuminati since 1931 (not 1929). He became the provincial of the state committee of lower Austria in 1950. Between 1953 and 1954 he was the custodian of the Viennese committee. In his letter of 18.08.58 he told us that he resigned from the order of Illuminati a while ago. On the 10.11.69 he wrote to us, that he wanted to reactivate the order of Illuminati in Austria and - with the official permission granted - this committee would start work with him as their custodian. At the same time he asked for rituals, especially the initiation ritual and various other materials.

2. Reply to Geisler's letter, 2nd section:

The amalgamation and reactivation of the order was possible in 1949 thanks to the mediation conducted by H. Metzger in Zürich. He got the order from the president of the order, Julius Meyer, to get in contact with Vienna and deliver a message to the grand chancellor of the order, Eduard Korbel, to help rebuild the order in Austria, as the censorship at the time was making a direct communication impossible and he as a Swiss was in possession of a visa to visit Berlin and Vienna.
