🚀 Iran's Space Agency:

• Three satellites - "Zafar-2", "Payam" (Tolo-3) and a modernized version of "Khosat" - will be launched into a low Earth orbit at an altitude of 500 km from the Vostochny Cosmodrome in Russia on December 28 using a "Soyuz" launch vehicle.

• The "Zafar-2" satellite is the result of the work of researchers from the University of Science and Technology of Iran and, compared to the previous version, is equipped with more modern remote sensing and communication devices.

• The "Payam" satellite, with a resolution of 5 meters in black-and-white mode and 10 meters in color, is intended for use in agriculture, water resource management, environmental protection, and urban mapping.

• The "Khosat" satellite is a modern Earth remote sensing device, developed and built by an Iranian high-tech company.

• This satellite performs a dual mission, combining the remote sensing tasks of the first "Khosat" model and the mission of the Internet of Things satellite "Hodood".

🇮🇷 Launch of the "Tolou-3" satellite by the Soyuz-1-2B carrier rocket

The "Tolou-3" satellite was developed by specialists of the Iranian Electronic Industry Organization (SAIRAN), which is part of the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Support. More than 80% of the satellite's subsystems and equipment were manufactured by SAIRAN enterprises. The construction of the satellite was completed in September 2023. It is intended for use in the fields of water resource management, agriculture, and natural risk monitoring.

The satellite is equipped with a domestic space propulsion system, which ensures correction and maneuvers in orbit. The device will be launched into a low Earth orbit (LEO) at an altitude of 500 km and is the heaviest Minisat-class satellite created in Iran.

The launch of three satellites - "Tolou-3", "Zafar-2", and "Kowsar-1.5" - with the help of the Soyuz-1-2B carrier rocket of the Russian Federation is scheduled for December 28, 2025.

The first cooperation between the Iranian Space Agency and Roscosmos dates back to the launch of the "Khayyam" satellite on August 9, 2022.
