Allah -glorified is He- says:

و لولا دفع الله الناس بعضهم ببعض لفسدت الأرض ولكن الله ذو فضل على العالمين

"...and if Allah did not check one group of people by way of another, the earth would be corrupt; however, Allah is sole possessor of bounties (bestowed) upon the existence." al-Baqarah: 251

This shows the importance of advice, enjoining good and forbidding evil, refuting and repelling evil, warning against opposition to the text, obstructing oppression, and other similar actions considered to be Jihad in Allah's religion, and Allah knows best.

Anyone seeking roles of power / judiciary in Islam, in the sense of being greedy for it, asking for it, was not seen positively by the Prophet of Islam, Muhammad, صلى الله عليه وسلم.

This hadeeth is mentioned by scholars under the sections of Imárah / Qada`a. (كتاب الإمارة والقضاء)

Abu Musa al Ash'ari (ra) said:

"Two of my cousins on my father’s side and I went in to see the Prophet and one of them said, “Messenger of God, put us in command of part of what God has put in your charge,” the other also saying the same. The Prophet (ص) replied,

«إِنَّا وَاللَّهِ لَا نُوَلِّي عَلَى هَذَا الْعَمَلِ أَحَدًا سَأَلَهُ وَلَا أَحَدًا حَرَصَ عَلَيْهِ»

“𝐈 𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐛𝐲 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐩𝐮𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞, 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐚𝐬𝐤𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐢𝐭, 𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐢𝐬 𝐞𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐢𝐭..”

In another version of the report he said,

« لَا نَسْتَعْمِلُ عَلَى عَمَلِنَا مَنْ أَرَادَهُ »

“𝐖𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐭.” "

(Narrated by Bukhari & Muslim)

The case of Prophet Yusuf عليه السلام asking for control does not fall in this category and there are exceptions to this rule.. For example, if someone is really confident and powerful to take control and desires control because he knows others are incapable and their getting into authority will cause harm to the state, then this doesen't come under asking for it by greed ! Infact he would not be asking for it even.

Nevertheless, it's a good Islamic principle to learn from, that we must be always skeptical of the one showing greed for prominent positions and such people must never be allowed a free pass.

Five Major Tests

It was narrated that ‘Abd Allāh Ibn ‘Umar said: “The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ turned to us and said: ‘O Muhājirūn, there are five things with which you will be tested, and I seek refuge with Allāh lest you live to see them: Immorality never appears among a people to such an extent that they commit it openly, but plagues and diseases that were never known among their predecessors will spread among them. They do not cheat in weights and measures but they will be stricken with famine, severe calamity and the oppression of their rulers. They do not withhold the Zakāh [obligatory alms-giving] of their wealth, but rain will be withheld from the sky, and were it not for the animals, no rain would fall on them. They do not break their covenant with Allāh and His Messenger, but Allāh will enable their enemies to overpower them and take some of what is in their hands. Unless their leaders rule according to the Book of Allāh and seek all good from that which Allāh has revealed, Allāh will cause them to fight one another.’”

Difference between Maghfirah (مغفرة ) and Afwu (عفو )?

Maghfriah: is for Allah to forgive you for the sin but the sin will still be registered on your book of deeds.

Afwu: is for Allah to forgive you for the sin and delete it from your book of deeds as if it did not happen.
That is why our beloved Prophet peace be upon him advised us to read this dua:
اللهم انك عفو تحب العفو فاعف عنا
(Allahuma Innaka Affuwun , Tuhibbul afua , Fa’afu Anna)

📚
Shaykhul Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, rahimahullah, said:

أن العفو أن يسقط عنه العقاب ، والمغفرة أن يستر عليه جرمه صونا له من عذاب التخجيل والفضيحة

“Al-‘Afwu is the punishment being waived off and al-maghfirah is his crime being concealed as a form of protection for him from the torment of being embarrassed and exposed…”

The internet is a modern day test.

Some use it for good and beneficial things, for them it is truly a blessing.

Others misuse it and acquire evil deeds & more problems.

𝟭. 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 💪
Believers that speak a lot can harbor all sorts of illnesses like ego, grudge or hate in their hearts. However, silence allows inner reflection that only leads to a clean and calmer heart purified of any disease.
The Prophet PBUH said, “Don’t talk much unless for zikr of Allah (remembrance of God) , because much-talking leads to indomitable heart and the furthest human from Allah is the one with indomitable heart, those who unwilling to receive guidance.” [Tirmidi]

𝟮. 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗱
Good deeds are a ticket to Jannah (paradise). Allah and His Messenger have defined minor and major good deeds for us to follow. Silence is one of the small good deeds that we can perform to increase our weight of goodness on the Day of Judgement - especially when it comes to staying silent after someone angers or insults us.
Ali ibn Abi Thalib said, “No good in silence when it comes to knowledge, just as there is no good in speaking when it comes to ignorance.”

𝟯. 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝘂𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘀𝗱𝗼𝗺 🧠
“The wiser a man is, the less he will speak.”
Silence helps us gain wisdom, as it allows us to understand situations from different perspectives & gives us time to think about and improve our speech.
Imam Ja’far as-Sadiq once said “One who knows the value of his speech will also know the value of silence. In fact, if one adopts silence, he will value his speech and therefore guard it like he guards his wealth.”

𝟰. 𝗔𝗻 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗱𝗵𝗶𝗸𝗿 📿
When we are silent and avoid involving ourselves in every conversation, we have more time to make dhikr and think about Allah. Being able to stay quiet sometimes is really a mercy from Him ❤️

𝟱. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝘀‼️
Backbiting, arguing, gossiping etc are all rooted in excessive talking. These are grave sins that are like water drops, once accumulating over time can become as big as the sea. Allah SWT and the Prophet PBUH advised us to stay silent as it will protect from these sins that can land us in Hellfire.

𝟲. 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘁 🤝
Since people talk only to reply back in a heated argument and as it is said that time and words cannot be taken back. So choosing silence while the other person is angry, helps to calm the situation down and gives time to truly understand other party’s perspective. The Prophet PBUH said, “Speak a good word or remain silent.“

He Wants To Test The Real Person You Are

Beware of falling into despair lest answers to prayers take a long time because Allāh is the Sovereign Possessor (al-Mālik), the Most Wise (al-Ḥakīm) and Best Planner and the One Who knows the best for your affairs. You need to heed to the fact He wants to test the real person you are, to see your devoted supplications to Him and to reward you for your patience (ṣabr).

Know that He tests you with delaying the answers of your supplications to combat the whispers (waswasa) of Iblīs. Each one of these reasons is enough to increase the level of your hope in Allāh's grace and calls for thankfulness (shukr) of Allāh because He preferred you with trials in order to turn to Him—for it is nothing but affluence when a person becomes in need, and then turns to Allāh for His help.

THE FLUCTUATIONS OF TIME ARE TESTS FROM ALLĀH

Glory is to Allāh Who subjects His slaves (to trials) in order to test their patience and expose their true nature in times of hardship!

Angels prostrated to Adam ('alayhi as-salām), while shortly thereafter he was expelled from Paradise (jannah).

Nūh ('alayhi as-salām) was beaten until fainted, while shortly thereafter he was rescued in the ark, and his enemies were destroyed.

Ibrāhīm ('alayhi as-salām) was thrown in the fire, and then came out to safety (salāma).

Isma'eel ('alayhi as-salām) lied down in surrender to be slaughtered, then he came to safety, and his praise remained.

Ya'qūb ('alayhi as-salām) lost his eyesight after losing his son, and then he regained it after reuniting with his son.

Mūsā ('alayhi as-salām) was a shepherd, and then was elevated to a rank where he spoke to Allāh (taqlīm).

Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) was an orphan and faced many hardships from his enemies, and from financial difficulties; yet he persevered and was firm as a mountain. After his objective was fulfilled and when he conquered Makkah, the Angel of death came to him and took his soul while going through the pangs of death.

Whoever observes the sea of life, knows how its waves should be received and know how to be patient while dealing the changing days, will not panic when calamity (bilā') strikes. And will not become overly happy when good times (rikhā') arrive immediately.

When the companion (r) fainted four times before narrating the hadith

Al-Tirmidhi (may Allaah have mercy on him) reported from Shufayy al-Asbahi that he entered Madeenah and saw a man with people gathered around him. He asked, “Who is this?” They said, “Abu Hurayrah.” [Shufayy said:] “So I approached him and sat down in front of him. He was speaking to the people, and when he finished and they had gone away, I said to him, ‘I ask you by Allaah, to narrate to me a hadeeth that you heard from the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and understood fully.’ Abu Hurayrah said, ‘I will do that, I will tell you a hadeeth I heard from the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and understood fully.’ Then Abu Hurayrah began to gasp, and remained in this condition until he recovered, then he said, ‘I will tell you a hadeeth that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) told me in this house when there was no one else present except me and him.’ Then Abu Hurayrah began to gasp again, then he recovered and wiped his face, and said, ‘I will tell you a hadeeth that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) told me in this house when there was no one else present except me and him.’ Then he gasped, then he recovered and wiped his face and said, ‘I will tell you a hadeeth that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) told me in this house when there was no one else present except me and him.’ Then Abu Hurayrah began to gasp severely, and his head fell forward, and I supported him with my shoulder for a long time, then he recovered, and said:
‘The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) told me:
(When the Day of Judgement comes, Allaah will
come down to judge between the people. And every nation will be kneeling in submission. The first people to be called forth will be a man who had learned the Quraan by heart, a man who was killed for the sake of Allaah and a man who had a lot of wealth. Allaah will say to the reciter [of the Quraan], (Did I not teach you that which I had revealed to My Messenger?’ He will say, (Of course, My Lord.’ Allaah will say, (What did you do with what you were taught?’ He will say, (I stayed up at night and during the day (to recite it).’ Allaah will say, (You have lied,’ and the angels will say, (You have lied.’ Allaah will say, (You only wanted it to be said that so-and-so is a reader, and it was said.’ The one who had a lot of wealth will be brought and Allaah will say to him, (Did I not give generously to you so that you were not in need of anyone?’ He will say, (Of course, O Lord.’ Allaah will say, (What did
you do with what I gave you?’ He will say, (I used to give it to my relatives and in charity.’ Allaah will say, (You have lied,’ and the angels will say, (You have lied.’ Allaah will say, (You only wanted it to be said that so-and-so is generous, and it was said. Then the one who was killed for the sake of Allaah will be brought and Allaah will say to him, (What were you killed for?’ He will say, (I was commanded to fight in Lihaad for Your sake so I fought until I was killed.’ Allaah will say, (You have lied,’ and the angels will say, (You have lied.’ Allaah will say, You only want it to be said that so-and-so was courageous, and it was said.’ Then the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) struck my knees and said, (O Abu Hurayrah, these three are the first people for whom the Fire will be heated on the Day of Resurrection.’ ” (Sunan al- Tirmidhi, no. 2382, saheeh darussalam]

Let this sink in…

You don’t have to forgive… story of Yakub (as)

Family can try to destroy you (story of Yusuf (as)) through jealousy

You can be knowledgeable and have immense knowledge but can still be cursed (shaytaan)

Ego it what kills you (Son of Nuh (as))

Jealousy is real, shaytaan is real, sihr is real, don’t let people fool you in thinking blood is everything.

It’s the same people that will watch your every move. Even in Ramadhan.

Stay away from negative, toxic people.

The Signs of Laylatul-Qadr

Ubayy bin Ka’b (radiyallāhu ‘anhu) stated: “The sign of Laylatul-Qadr is that the Sun rises the following morning white and without rays.”[14]

In a narration, he (radiyallāhu ‘anhu) said: “The Sun rises the following morning like a brass dish having no rays until it rises high up.”[15]

Abu Hurayrah (radiyallāhu ‘anhu) said: “We were remembering Laylatul-Qadr in the presence of Allah’s Messenger (salallāhu ‘alaihi wasallam) so he said: ‘Who among you remembers [that night] when the moon rose and it was like a piece of the plate.’”[16]

Abdullāh bin ‘Abbās (radiyallāhu ‘anhumā) stated that Allah’s Messenger (salallāhu ‘alaihi wasallam) said: “Laylatul-Qadr is easy and calm, not too hot and not too cold, and the Sun rises the following morning weak and reddish.”[17]

What can be better than this reward for the one whom Allah guides and grants success? So, be ardent and strive in seeking out this night and perform as many righteous deeds as you are able. And whoever passes by these ten nights which are filled with mercy and forgiveness from the Lord, and persists in sins without care or concern, then he has prevented himself from much goodness and immense reward. So, it is upon such people to repent to Allah and seek His forgiveness because the door of repentance remains open―let them take hold of themselves, bring their souls under control and earn a manifold reward through the last ten nights and not return to their sinful lifestyles after that.
