Individualistic Mindset vs Collective Mindset
In today’s world, many of us have adopted an individualistic mindset in Islām, prioritizing and giving full focus to personal goals and individual achievements above collective work for the Ummah. It’s essential to reflect on how the companions of the Prophet ﷺ [Sahābah] lived and how they worked as a Jamā'ah [group] to enjoin good & forbid evil and not just spend majority of their time at home like many of us today.
The Sahābah were far from an individualistic mindset; their lives were marked by a profound sense of collective responsibility and unity, exemplified by their willingness to fight in Jihād for the sake of Allāh and supporting the Ummah.
Collective mindset:
The Qur’ān and Sunnah provides clear guidance on the importance of collective work as a Jamā'ah.
1 - The Ummah: The concept of the Ummah, the global community of Muslims, is central in Islām. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ emphasized the importance of collective work, unity and brotherhood: “Verily, the believers are like bricks of a building, each part strengthening the other...” Sahīh Bukhārī [no. 481].
2 - Congregational Worship: Certain acts of worship emphasise collective worship. The five daily prayers are encouraged to be performed in congregation, Zakāh [obligatory charity] is designed to redistribute wealth within the Muslim community, ensuring that the needs of the less fortunate are met, fasting of Ramadān is done together and so is the Hajj.
3 - Supporting the Ummah: The Muslims of the past were always supporting either through their wealth or lives for the religion. The way parts of the Ummah are abandoned today was something unheard of in the past. The Sahābah were always from the forerunners [Sābiqūn] in protecting the blood of the Muslims collectively.
The Sahābah's participation collectively in struggling for the sake of Allāh [Jihād] was not for personal gain or glory, but to protect the Muslim community and spread the message of Islām. They understood that their struggles and sacrifices were for the collective good of the Ummah. Their bravery and willingness to risk their lives in battles were driven by a deep sense of duty to Allāh. They implemented the verse: "And fight against the disbelievers collectively as they fight against you collectively." Sūrah Tawbah [9]: 36.
Lets get out of our comfort zone and work for the religion. Join local efforts to revive Islām in the hearts of our youth who are leaders of tomorrow.

💎The Best & Worst Types of Wealth:
Abu Bakr al Khallal reported with his chain of transmission in al Hathth ‘Alal-Tijarah:
“Al-Jassasi said: I asked Ahmad ibn Hanbal, may Allah have mercy on him, and said:
أَرْبَعَةُ دَرَاهِمَ: دِرْهَمٌ مِنْ تِجَارَةٍ بَرَّةٍ، وَدِرْهَمٌ مِنْ صِلَةِ الْإِخْوَانِ، وَدِرْهَمٌ مِنْ أَجْرِ تَعْلِيمٍ، وَدِرْهَمٌ مِنْ غَلَّةِ بَغْدَادَ؟
'What [do you say] about four dirhams: a dirham from fair trade, a dirham from maintaining brotherhood, a dirham from the earnings of teaching, and a dirham from the revenue/produce of Baghdad?’
He replied,
'The one from fair trade is most beloved to me, and the one from maintaining brotherhood is most disliked by me. As for the earnings of teaching, if one needs it, he should take it; and as for the property/produce of Baghdad, you know it, why do you ask me about it?'"
[note: the land on which the city was built was originally an endowment whose proceeds were to be distributed for the needs of the poor and similar matters of social welfare so many of the Salaf out of an abundance of caution disliked residing in it when it was built, let alone profiting from revenue generated by its property or produce].
So Imam Ahmad viewed (1.) the best wealth as what is earned from fair trade, (2.) support in the form of wages for teaching can be accepted if needed, (3.) the most disliked wealth is that which comes from maintaining brotherhood, and (4.) that what is doubtful (in this case revenue from Baghdad’s property and produce) should only be resorted to by dire necessity.

Allah’s Messenger (salallāhu 'alaihi wasallam) said:
“Six are cursed, Allah's curse is on them, they are cursed by every Prophet that came:
1. The one who adds to Allah’s Book.
2. The denier of Qadr ( Pre-decree and Pre-ordainment )
3. The tyrannical rulership who honors the one debased by Allah and debases who Allah has honored.
5. The one who legalizes what Allah has forbidden and one from my family who legalizes what Allah has forbidden.
6. The one who abandons my Sunnah.”
Reported by Ibn Abī ‘Āsim in As-Sunnah (44), At-Tirmidhi in Al-Jāmi’ (2154), Hadīth Hasan (Al-Albāni) [Translation: Abu Khadeejah]
Notes:
The one who adds to the Book of Allah either with his own hand or with speech that which is not from it. Or he adds to it an interpretation or a meaning that is not from Allah, His Messenger (salallāhu 'alaihi wassallam), the Sahābah or that which was known to the early Salaf such as the false interpretations of the Names and Attributes by Ahlul-Kalām (the Ash'aris, the Māturīdis, etc).
The deniers of the Pre-decree such as the Mu'tazilah, the Qadariyyah.
The tyranny of the one who raises and gives honor to the lowly one who is debased by Allah due to his sins, oppression, innovation, misguidance, and transgression while he debases and dishonors the one who is honored by Allah due to his worship, adherence to the Sunnah, truth, and justice.
The one who makes halāl and permissible that which Allah has made harām such as fornication, homosexuality, drinking alcohol, listening to music, eating of pork, usury and so on.
The one who abandons the Sunnah of Allah's Messenger (salallāhu 'alaihi wassallam) and takes to innovated beliefs and practices that are not based on the authentic ahādīth. This applies to all of the sects of innovation and Ahlul-Kalām (the people of theological rhetoric).
The warning of tyranny applies to all in positions of authority. It serves as a reminder to those whom Allah has placed in positions of responsibility. However, this hadīth in no way calls to rebellion or bloodshed against those in authority. The Salaf of this Ummah would make du'ā for the guidance of the rulers (and not rebel against them) as was agreed upon by the Salaf and stated by Al-Bukhāri in his gathering of the ijmā' in 'Aqeedah.

*Dealing With Short Tempered People!*
Ibn al-Jawzi said:
“When your companion becomes angry and says something that is unwarranted, you should not take it too hard. His situation is that of a drunken person who is not aware of what is taking place.
Instead, be patient, even if it means only for a little while. If you reciprocate his words with harsh words of your own, you become like the sane person who seeks revenge on a madman, or the conscious person who seeks retribution from an unconscious one.
Look at him with a merciful eye and pity him for his actions.”

🌱Shaykh Muhammad bin Salih al-Uthaymeen said:
‘The goal of having a good ending is not that you die whilst you are in the masjid, or while you are upon a prayer mat, or you die with a Qur’aan in your hands.
Indeed the best of all creation died while he was on his bed.
His friend as-Siddiq Abu Bakr died while on his bed, and he was the best of the Companions.
Khalid bin Waleed died while he was on his bed, and he was given the noscript the unsheathed sword of Allaah, who plunged into a hundred battles and did not lose in any of them.
However, a good ending is:
• that you die and are far away from Shirk.
• that you die and are far away from Nifaq (hypocrisy).
• that you die and you are separate from the people of Bida and far away from Bida.
• that you die and you are upon the Book, the Sunnah and believe in that which is brought in them without twisting their meanings.
• that you die and you are relieved of the burden of spilling the blood of the Muslims, their wealth and their honour. That you fulfill the right of Allaah upon you and the right of Allaah’s worshippers upon you.
• that you die and your heart is secure with pure intentions and good manners; and does not have hatred, envy, nor spite for a Muslim.
• That you pray your five prayers on their times in Jama’ah (Congregation) for the one who has to pray in congregation. Also to fulfill what Allaah has obligated upon you.
O Allaah make all our final matters good. Save us from disgrace in the Duniya and the punishment of the Hereafter.
O Allaah make our final end good and return us to you in a beautiful way not disgraced and exposed.’

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله talks about the signs of the diseased heart. They are as follows.
• One does not feel any hurt or pain when he commits evil deeds and sins.
• One finds both pleasure in committing sins and tranquility after doing them.
• One looks after less important matters and neglects more important and critical ones.
• One dislikes the truth and has difficulty accepting or submitting to it.
• One feels discomfort being in the company of the righteous and feels comfort in the company of the sinful.
• One is susceptible to misconceptions and doubts, and is attracted to debates and arguments about them rather than to reading Qur’an and other such beneficial acts.
• One is not affected by any kind of admonition.
[Ighaatha al-Lahfaa | Vol. 1, P. 548]

ENVY & GREED.
Iblis said to Nooh : ‘There are five things that cause people to become destroyed’
‘Abdullah Ibn ‘Umar (radhi Allaahu anhuma) said: While on the Ark, [Prophet] Nooh (‘alayhis-salam) noticed an old man whom he did not recognise. Nooh inquired: ‘What brought you here?’ He replied: ‘I came to strike the hearts of your followers, so their hearts become with me, while their bodies with you.’ Nooh responded: ‘Leave O enemy of Allah.’
Iblis said: ‘There are five things that cause people to become destroyed (deviated). I will inform you of three and not of the other two’. It was revealed to Nooh that he needed not know the three, but that he should enquire about the two.”
Iblis said: ‘The two that are certain to work are: envy: I was cursed because of my envy, and became a stoned devil. And the second is eagerness (to have more) : The entire paradise was made permissible to Adam (‘alayhis-
salam) . I got what I wanted from him because of his eagerness.’ [Ibn Abee al-Dunya in Maka’d al-Shaytaan , 65/ 44].

Shaykh Ibn Baz رحمه الله تعالى said:
Al-Yaqīn [certainty] means to be a believer in Allāh upon definite resolve and certainty; one believes that Allāh is his Lord, the one, True One, to be worshiped by him; that no one but He deserves to be worshiped; that He is the creator of all things; that He is perfect in Himself, His names, attributes, and actions; that He, be He glorified for His perfection, must be worshiped alone and singled out for worship.
And a believer must be on guard against the evils of his [own] tongue, in [ever] saying things that diminish his Lord, deny His attributes, or make light of what He has commanded him with.
A believer knows with certainty that He, be He glorified for His perfection, is the only One who deserves to be worshiped; that He is the Lord of all creation; that He is Al-Khallāq [the Ever-Creating], Al-ʿAlīm [the All-Knowing]; that He is the only One who is deserving of worship; that there is no lord besides Him nor any creator besides Him; that no one besides Him deserves to be worshiped, far above all is He in His perfection and All-High.
And he knows with certainty that He will gather mankind together on the Day of Resurrection; He will pay them back [all] for their deeds—with good, if good, and with bad, if bad.
He knows with certainty that Allāh, be He glorified in His perfection, will fulfill His promises, so He will put the believers in Paradise as He has promised them, and He will put the disbelievers in the Fire, as He has promised them, far above all is He in His perfection and All-High.
And in this manner, everything that Allāh and His Messenger has informed him about in the Qurʾān or in authentic ḥadīths, a believer believes in—he believes in that and has no doubts about that.

There is a concept called: '𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲'
It's when a guide dog is trained to disobey its owner, if it thinks the owner is wrong, and the owner’s decision will most likely harm its owner.
For example, when a guide dog sees that the traffic light is red or if there is a cliff, and the blind owner asked it to continue going, it will disobey.
This mindset is even more important in humans!
We see many rulers, Pirs, shaykhs, cults, parents, husbands, elders etc, demand blind and full obedience.
Don't obey anyone unconditionally, don’t blindly comply, use your brain, never go on auto-pilot!
A similar incident took place at the time of the Prophet:
Narrated `Ali:
The Prophet (ﷺ) sent an army unit (for some campaign) and appointed a man from the Ansar as its commander and ordered them (the soldiers) to obey him.
(During the campaign) he became angry with them and said, "Didn't the Prophet (ﷺ) order you to obey me?"
They said, "Yes."
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗱, "𝗜 𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝘁."
So they collected wood and made a fire, but when they were about to throw themselves into, it they started looking at each other, and some of them said, "We followed the Prophet (ﷺ) to escape from the fire. How should we enter it now?"
So while they were in that state, the fire extinguished and their commander's anger abated.
The event was mentioned to 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗵𝗲𝘁 (ﷺ) 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗱, "𝗜𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝘁 (𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲) 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝘁, 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱."

Wearing expensive clothes
The Prophet (pbuh) wore any clothes that were available, and he didn't care much about how they looked. He would wear his shoes, even if they were visibly old, until they developed holes and were no longer usable.
he, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: ‘If Allah gives you something, then let it be shown on you.’”
In another narration he, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: “Allah’s blessings and generosity should be apparent on you.”
‘Ali Al-Qaari (r) said: “This means that one should wear nice clothes, so that people know that the individual is rich, and that Allah has bestowed His various blessings on that individual.”
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "He who has, in his heart, an ant's weight of arrogance will not enter Jannah." Someone said: "A man likes to wear beautiful clothes and shoes?" Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Allah is Beautiful, He loves beauty. Arrogance means ridiculing and rejecting the Truth and despising people." [Muslim].
He (PBUH) wore the shoes until they were perforated[holes], without the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) knowing whether or not they were made from the hide of a lawfully slaughtered animal.”
Grade: Sahih (Zubair `Aliza'i)
Ash-Shama'il Al-Muhammadiyah 73
Asma brought out to me that cloak made of Persian cloth with a hem of brocade, and its sleeves bordered with brocade and said: This wall Allah's Messenger's cloak with 'A'isha until she died, and when she died. I got possession of it. The Apostle of Allah (ﷺ) used to wear that, and we waslied it for the sick and sought cure thereby.’[Muslim 2069a]
In another narration, He used to wear it for delegations and on Jumu'a.' "[Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 348b]
Wearing expensive clothes is allowed as long as you know and follow these rules:
1.Not prohibited, like silk for men
2.Not wasteful.
3. free from Arrogance and vanity.
4.Not resembeling the clothing of other religions.
Allah's messenger Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "He who wears libaas ul-shuhra in this world will be dressed in humiliating clothes on the day of judgment." (narrated by Ahmed & Abu Dawood, confirmed sahih by Al Albani in Sahih Al-Jami' 6526)

Only an utter fool compromises his akhirah for the sake of securing the future of someone elses duniya.
One may ask,
Who is this 'someone else' here ? '
So the sad answer is, your immediate family members !!
Yes, most men engage in haram activities throughout their lives to earn more and more for their children and many of these children stare right back at them and even rebel once they grow up and hold their own personalities and choices.
Each soul on earth is to be seen as a 'someone else' when it comes to reviving their wordly life at the expense of your own akhirah.. Many people realize this very late, during their old age when it's almost too late.
The Prophet ﷺ summarised this problem of life in a beautiful hadeeth when he said :
❞مَنِ الْتَمَسَ رِضَى اللهِ بِسَخَطِ النَّاسِ، رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، وَأَرْضَى عَنْهُ النَّاسَ، وَمَنِ الْتَمَسَ رِضَى النَّاسِ بِسَخَطِ اللهِ، سَخِطَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ، وَأَسْخَطَ عَلَيْهِ النَّاسَ❝
"Whoever seeks the pleasure of Allah at the cost of the displeasure of people, Allah will be pleased with him and make the people pleased with him. And whoever seeks the pleasure of people at the cost of the displeasure of Allah, Allah will be displeased with him and make the people displeased with him."
[Reported by Ibn Hibban in his Sahih, reported by Tirmidhi in his Sunan and he graded it as Hasan... Also, Sheikh Al-Albani in his book "Silsilat al-Ahadith as-Sahihah" (The Series of Authentic Hadiths), indicated that he found it to be a reliable narration after examining the various chains of transmission]
Allah ﷻ also says :
"إِنَّمَا أَمْوَالُكُمْ وَأَوْلَادُكُمْ فِتْنَةٌ ۚ وَاللَّهُ عِنْدَهُ أَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ"
"Your wealth and your children are but a trial (fitnah), and Allah has with Him a great reward." (Surah Al-Taghabun, 64:15)
The verse has in it the same warning ⚠ which people ignore and fail their own tests for the sake of others.
So, in summary, unfortunate is the one who prioritizes the worldly affairs of "others" over the integrity of his own hereafter and it's always beneficial to befriend pious and experienced people elder to you to see what lies ahead in life.

Forwarded from Jannah is Our Dream
On the authority of Ibn Umar رضي الله عنه who said:
❝A man came to the Prophet [ﷺ] said: ‘O Messenger of Allaah! Which of the people are the most beloved to Allaah and which of the actions are most beloved to Allaah?’
The Messenger of Allaah [ﷺ] said: ‘The most beloved of the people to Allaah are the most beneficial for the people. The most beloved of actions to Allaah [عز و جل] are to cause happiness to reach a Muslim, to relieve him from a hardship, to settle a debt for a Muslim or to repel hunger from him. For me to walk with a brother in order to assist him is more beloved to me than to make ‘Itikaf in this Masjid [Masjid al-Madeenah] for a month.
Whoever holds back his anger then Allaah hides his mistakes. Whoever suppresses his anger – even though he is not scared to show it, but withholds due to the truth – Allaah fills his heart with hope on the day of Judgement.
Whoever walks with his brother to assist him with a need until he has helped him completely, then Allaah plants his feet firmly on the day people will not stand firmly. Indeed bad behaviour spoils good actions, just as vinegar spoils honey.’❞
