THE DANGERS OF INTENTIONALLY MISSING YOUR SOLATS (PRAYERS)!

Sunan Ibn Majah 1079

'Abdullah bin Buraidah narrated that his father said:

The Messenger of Allaah, Sallalahu aliehi wasallam said:" The covenant that distinguish between us and them is prayer, so whoever leaves it,he has committed Kufr"

Imaam Ahmad said that the one who does not pray because of laziness is a kafir, This is the more correct view and is that indicated by the evidence of the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His messenger, and by the words of the Salaf and the proper understanding.

(Al-Sharh al-Mumti ' 'ala Zaad al-Mustanqi" 2/26).

In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
"Seest thou one who denies the Judgement (to come)?. Then such is the one who repulses the orphan, And encourages not the feeding of the indigent. So woe to the worshippers Who are neglectful of their Prayers, Those who (want but) to be seen, But refuse (to supply) (even) neighbourly needs."- Qur'an: Chapter :Maa' uun (Neighbourly Need).

“Or feeding, on a day of severe hunger, an orphan of near relationship, or a needy person in misery. And then being among those who believed and advised one another to patience and advised one another to compassion. Those are the companions of the right.” (Qur’an 90:14-18

Allah (mighty and sublime be He) will say on the Day of Resurrection…
“…O son of Adam, I asked you for food and you fed Me not. He will say: O Lord, and how should I feed You when You are the Lord of the worlds? He will say: Did you not know that My servant So-and-so asked you for food and you fed him not? Did you not know that had you fed him you would surely have found that (the reward for doing so) with Me?”

God will say on the Day of Judgment, ‘Son of Adam, I was sick but you did not visit Me.’
‘My Lord, How could I visit You when You are the Lord of the Worlds?’
‘Did you not know that one of My servants was sick and you didn’t visit him? If you had visited him you would have found Me there.’
Then Allah will say, ‘Son of Adam, I needed food but you did not feed Me.’
‘My Lord, How could I feed You when You are the Lord of the Worlds?’
‘Did you not know that one of My servants was hungry but you did not feed him? If you had fed him you would have found its reward with Me.’
‘Son of Adam, I was thirsty, but you did not give Me something to drink.’
‘My Lord, How could I give a drink when You are the Lord of the Worlds?’
‘Did you not know that one of My servants was thirsty but you did not give him a drink? If you had given him a drink, you would have found its reward with Me.’ (Al-Bukhari)

On the authority of An-Nu’maan Bin Basheer in a narration ascribed to the Prophet [ﷺ]:

❝The example of the believers in their affection, mercy and compassion for each other is like the body: if a limb of it complains due to an illness, it affects the rest of the body with sleeplessness and fever.❞

When Ḥasan al-Baṣrī رحمه الله came across a group of people arguing, he would say:

‏والله ما هؤلاء إلا قوم ملوا العبادة. ووجدوا الكلام أهون عليهم، وقل ورعهم فتكلموا

"By Allāh, these ones have become bored of worship, speaking has become easy for them, and their piety has diminished, and that is why they talk and argue (so easily)."

[Ḥilyat al-Awliya, 2/157]

Ma’rūf al-Karkhī رحمه الله said:

إِذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ بِعَبْدٍ خَيْرًا فَتْحَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ بَابَ الْعَمَلِ وَأَغْلَقَ عَنْهُ بَابَ الْجَدَلِ وَإِذَا أَرَادَ بِعَبْدٍ شَرًّا أَغْلَقَ عَلَيْهِ بَابَ الْعَمَلِ وَفَتَحَ عَلَيْهِ بَابَ الْجَدَلِ

"If Allāh wants goodness for a servant, He opens the door of action (for him) and closes the door of argumentation, and if He wills evil for a servant, He closes the door of action (for him) and opens the door of argumentation."

Shaykh al Islām Ibn Taymiyyah (d. 728 AH رحمه الله ) makes a valuable comment on this verse, saying:

"The Muslim needs to fear Allah and restrain the self from desires. One is not punished because of having desire and lust but rather for following and acting upon them. If the self has desires and restrains it, his act of restraint is an act of worship to Allah and a righteous deed."

It is Sunnah to accept gifts, while refraining from asking for favours and begging.

The Mother of the Believers, Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her), said that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) would accept gifts and give something in return [Reported by Bukhari]

At the same time, the Prophet ﷺ would strongly advise against asking for favours and begging.

Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "If anyone guarantees me that they will not ask people for anything, I will guarantee them Jannah.” [Reported by Abu Dawud and Tirmidhi]

The Prophet (ﷺ) also said: "(True) wealth does not lie in the abundance of (worldly) possession, rather it lies in feeling self-sufficient/ being content." [Reported by Bukhari and Muslim]

📖 Ibn Umar RadhiAllahu 'anhuma narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "The most beloved people to Allah are those who are most beneficial to the people. The most beloved deed to Allah is to make a Muslim happy, or to remove one of his troubles, or to forgive his debt, or to feed his hunger. That I walk with a brother regarding a need is more beloved to me than that I seclude myself in this Masjid in Madinah for a month. Whoever swallows his anger, then Allah will conceal his faults. Whoever suppresses his rage, even though he could fulfill his anger if he wished, then Allah will secure his heart on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever walks with his brother regarding a need until he secures it for him, then Allah the Almighty will make his footing firm across the bridge on the day when the footings are shaken."

WHEN YOU ASSIST OTHERS, YOU'VE ONLY ASSISTED YOURSELF

Abdullaah bn Umar (radhiyal Laahu 'anh) narrated: the Messenger of Allaah (sallal Laahu' alayhi wassallam) said:

Once they withhold it, Allaah seizes it from them and give it to others. "

Rushing In Recitation Of Qurʾān Is Blameworthy

Prophet Muḥammad Ṣallallāhu-ʿAlaihi Wa Sallam said:

سيخرج أقوام من أمتي يشربون القرآن كشربهم اللبن

“There will emerge groups of people from my Ummah who will drink Qurʾān like they drink milk (i.e they would recite Qurʾān without pondering upon its meaning and rulings).”

Home Safety

In a hadith narrated by both Bukhaari (3280) & Muslim (2012) the Messenger of Allah ﷺ instructed us that before sleeping we should :

"... And tie up your waterskins and mention the name of Allaah, and cover your vessels and mention the name of Allaah, even if you only put something over them, and extinguish your lamps.”
____

Now a days we turn off the lights etc but we don't need to extinguish the fire lamps which aren't used anymore... It applies *more* to things that use fire & can cause fire rather than mere switching off tubelights and bulbs.

I say, that even if you dont have a samsung Note 7, please don't be overconfident to leave your phones charging overnight relying upon their inbuilt "overcharge protection" This hadith, if we think, applies more to things that can cause 🔥 than the actual fire 🔥.

Another riwayah which makes this easier to understand is :

Ibn 'Abbas (ra) said, "A mouse came and began to drag the wick. The slavegirl moved to stop it. The Prophet ﷺ, said, 'Leave it.' The mouse brought the wick and put it on the mat where he was sitting. It burned a hole in it the size of a dirham. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, 'When you go to sleep, put out the lights. Shaytan guides things like this and then they burn you " (Adab al mufrad)

Subhān Allah, look how wisely the Prophet ﷺ ordered the lady to stop & watch that naughty mouse untill he did his thing and then the prophet attributed that evil to shaytān influencing it ...So unless you wanna wake up in flames better not to leave any laptops and gadgets charging overnight.
