Jannah is Our Dream

Imam Ibn al-Qayyim al-Jawzeeyah said:
‘If a person established the Uboodeeyah (servitude of worship) of Sabr (patience) as is necessary, then Allaah changes an affliction for him to an appropriate benefit and a favour.
Transforms a calamity to an award, a disliked matter becomes beloved. Since indeed Allaah Azza wa Jal does not trial a slave to destroy him But in fact, He trials him to test his patience and his servitude of worship of Allaah.
Indeed Allaah Ta’ala has Uboodeeyah (servitude of worship) upon the slave during times of hardships just as Allaah has Uboodeeyah during times of ease.
Allaah has Uboodeeyah upon him regarding matters which the slave dislikes just as Allaah has Uboodeeyah regarding matters which Allaah loves. Most of the creation are given Uboodeeyah in matters they love.
However, the issue is being granted the ability of Uboodeeyah in matters the slave dislikes. There is a variation in the different levels of the worshippers of Allaah, and in accordance with those levels will be their levels with Allaah Ta’ala.’

Abdullah ibn Umar رضي الله عنه said:
"I swear to Allah, if I have fasted all day without eating, prayed all night without sleeping, if I have spent all my wealth for the sake of Allah. And if I had died that day but in my heart there wasn’t love (al-Walaa’) for those who obeyed Allah nor hate (al-Baraa’) for those who disobeyed Allah, none of these deeds would bring me benefits at all."

I read a book that said:
"To understand what life is, you have to visit 3 locations:
The hospital.
The prison.
The cemetery.
At the hospital, you will understand that nothing is more beautiful than health.
In prison, you'll see that freedom is the most precious thing.
At the cemetery, you will realize that life is worth nothing, the ground we walk on today, will be our roof

"Hiring" Imams
We are living in times in which many young and good seekers of knowledge are coming out, they are upon the Sunnah, they promote what is right and forbid what is wrong, they are eager to help the community and have dedicated their entire life, all hours of their day, to learn Islam and serve Muslims as well as the community at large.
In today's dynamics, many Islamic institutions are run by people who have very little knowledge of Islam, and for this reason, many conflicts will take place which will end up with these institutions "firing" the Imam. If the Imam does not compromise at times some of the most basic foundations of Islam to make those in charge of these institutions happy, they will find themselves at major odds.
One thing I will point out is that many reputable Islamic scholars in history maintained their own business and trade while seeking Islamic knowledge, such personalities became highly influential and have contributed to Islam in great ways. They were not at the mercy of a board of directors or other such issues that would detract them from performing their role comprehensively and correctly.
Islamic institutions are not free from issues that any other business or corporation faces, they are run by humans, not angels. Conflicts and a corruption will be present, and again, I emphasize, such things are not unique to Muslims, they happen in churches, not-for-profit organizations, for profit and all others.
For this reason, I feel that it is important for those of us who are seeking Islamic knowledge, with the aim and sincere intention to better themselves and those around them, to maintain our own trades, and not make our source of livelihood depend on a paycheque from the local Masjid or whomever else. It is better to stay independent and teach Islam properly, than to be an employee who does the bidding of people who are sometimes far from practicing Islam properly.

YOUR LIFE SPAN IS BETWEEN 60 & 70 YEARS.
The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “The lifespan for my Ummah is from sixty to seventy years and very few surpass this”
Imams Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah (rahimahumallah) have recorded this Hadith on the authority of Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu). Imam Tirmidhi declared the Hadith sound (hasan) and Imam Ibn Hibban has authenticated the Hadith. Ibn al-jawzy said (RA) :
“ life like A bad woman, she will never wil be loyal to her husband & chasing her isn't good ”
The Reality of this World .. We all love the Dunya...We all love the worldly life and all the glamour it contains, from its cars, to it’s houses, to it’s wealth and all the luxuries it has to offer.
We desire its riches, it’s comforts and the sparks of happiness it brings.
We love it. It’s a fact none of us can deny.
Yet the sad part about it‹s, as much as we love this world, it will never love us back and only ever run away from us...The truth is,
this world will only ever tempt you,
tease you and eventually break your heart.
The failure to find contentment in life.
You see, no matter how much of the world’s treasures you acquire it’ll never satisfy your desires.
It will never make you content and you will almost always wish for more.
For almost every time the world offers you something of value, it will quickly divert your attention to the next best thing. It will make you long for the next bigger house, the next faster car, the next phone, the next pay rise or job promotion. It absorbs you into a rat race that will never end.
The reality that we will all depart from this world.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said :
“Nothing will suffice the belly of the children of Adam, except for dirt (meaning death)”
As Allah says in the Quran “And what is this world except the enjoyment of delusion”
This world is fake. It’s an illusion.
This whole world is a lie & we live our lives trying our best to shun out this reality.

The Reasons Which Cause Mahabbah (Love) of Allâh – Ibn Al Qayyim (Rahimahullaah)
:IMahabbah (Love) of AllâhIbn Al Qayyim – rahimahullâh – says
“The reasons which cause mahabbah of Allâh to develop, are ten
Firstly: Reciting the Qur‘ân, reflecting and understanding its meaning and its intent
Secondly: Drawing closer to Allâh – the Most High – through optional deeds, after fulfilling the obligatory duties
Thirdly: Being continuous in the dhikr (remembrance) of Allâh, with the tongue, the heart and the limbs – under all circumstances
The more constant the dhikr, the more mahabbah develops and intensifies
Fourthly: Giving precedence to what Allâh loves over personal loves, when being overcome by desires
Fifthly: Contemplating and deliberating over the Names and Attributes of Allâh
Sixthly: Recognising and remembering the favours and bounties of Allâh – both the manifest and hidden
Seventhly: To be humble and submissive before Allâh – and this is the greatest matter
Eightly: To be in seclusion reciting the Qur‘ân, during that time in which Allâh descends to the lowest heaven (which is the last third of every night), finishing this recitation with seeking Allâh’s forgiveness and repenting to Him
.Ninthly: To sit in the gatherings of true and sincere lovers of Allâh, reaping the fruits of their speech, and not to speak except if there is benefit in it and that you know that such talk will increase you in goodness and that it will benefits others as well
Tenthly: To stay clear of all those causes which distances the heart from Allâh – the Mighty and Majestic
So these are the ten reasons which cause the person to develop true love for Allâh and to reach the rank of al-muhabbah, by which he reaches his Beloved.” [Madârijus-Sâlikîn (3/17-1

There are so many profiles of people on Social media who have passed away , it’s shocking.

🩵 My father once said,
"If they hurt you, forgive them, but, don't ever forget what they have done to you".
And it has always been a reminder to me everytime I meet someone and know them. But sometimes, it gets tiring. It's frustrating when you show them kindness but only get pain in return. It's sad when you admire them for who they are, but they're busy backstabbing you.
So one time, I asked my father,
"Father, do they deserve my forgiveness?"
He smiled and closed the newspaper he was reading. It has been part of his morning routine-- checking the mail box for something to read.
"Child, everyone deserves to be forgiven. If they did it once, they deserve it. If they did it twice, give them another chance. But, if they did it thrice, then that forgiveness and chance shall be given to yourself".
I had a huge invisible question mark on my face and my eyes screamed confusion. My father noticed it and laughed at me. He then gave me a candy and clasped both of my hands.
"Forgive yourself for believing in them, only to get disappointed. Forgive yourself for trusting too much. Forgive yourself for risking another chance for you thought it's for the better. And honey, give yourself a chance to be free. Free from hatred and revenge, and, freedom from your past".
The next morning, I saw him in front of my mother, crying. He was betrayed by his friend of ten years. And when I asked him if he now hates his buddy, he only smiled and shook his head.
"My heart doesn't have a space for hatred. I don't deserve to suffer from it. I have forgiven him, but it doesn't mean I have forgotten what he did. So the next time he will see me smiling despite of what had happened, he will know by then who suffered more between us two".
Wiping his tears with his favorite handkerchief, which I gave to him as a birthday present, he added,
"You know what's the best thing to give to someone who hurt you? It's for them to see you living a better life after what they did to you. Honey, we only live once, so you don't need to waste time for people who once left a scar in your heart. Let them see what they have lost. Let them know how they helped you in a good way"
And there I realized, if it wasn't for his words, I guess until now,
I'd still be haunted by things that weren't my fault at all."
