Qurʾān; Quality over Quantity...

“If the people knew the sweetness, and benefits in pondering over the Qurʾān when reading it, they would have kept themselves busy with nothing else but reading Qurʾān.

For reading and pondering over one verse is better than a khatma (completion of the whole Qurʾān) without contemplation nor understanding. It's also more beneficial to the heart, attains Eeman and makes one taste the sweetness of the Qurʾān.”

Shaykh AbduRahmaan as-Sa'adi رحمه الله said:

"Do not grieve over past matters which have not been destined, from ill health, or loss of wealth or a worldly matter, etc. Your concern should be with rectification of actions on the day.

Since a person is living in the moment. He should not be saddened for what has passed.
Also he should not research into the future where that research would not be of any benefit.
It is upon you to be truthful, fulfill your contracts, keep to one's promises and justice in all dealings. Fulfilling rights completely and pertectly with a tranquil soul and with truthful pure Eemaan.

Busy yourself with your own mistakes and your matters, rather than the mistakes of the people and their matters. Deal with everyone according to their situation and condition, whether he is a senior, or youngster, male or female, a leader or a follower.

Be gentle and merciful to everyone even animals and livestock, since indeed Allaah is merciful to his merciful worshippers. Be balanced in all your matters, and open up your mind to every religious and worldly benefit"

*🌙 The Story of 9 Days that Changed Her Life*

*Nine days.*
That’s *216 hours*.
That’s *777,600 seconds.*
Just numbers? Or could they become *seeds for a lifetime of reward*?

She sat with her planner on the eve of Dhul Hijjah, tears glistening in her eyes. “Ya Allah… I don’t have much to offer. But I’ll give You my time.”

So she calculated.

“I’ll sleep 6 hours a day. That’s 54 hours in 9 days.”
That leaves her with *162 hours* of *awake* time.
She whispered to herself:
“Each hour is a door. Each second is a key. Will I open the door to Jannah… or just walk past it?”

*🌅 DAY 1: A New Dawn*

She woke up before Fajr.
🕓 *4:30 AM – 6:00 AM* — *Tahajjud and Duas.*

She begged. Cried. Poured out her pain. Prayed for the Ummah, her parents, her sins.
*5400 seconds* of pure intimacy with Allah.
She felt light — like the chains on her heart were melting.

🕌 *6:00 AM – 6:30 AM* — *Fajr and Morning Adhkar.*

She sat by her window, whispering:
*"SubhanAllahi wa bihamdihi, SubhanAllahil 'Adheem…"*

*🌞 Morning Barakah*

📖 *6:30 AM – 8:00 AM* — *Qur'an Recitation with Tadabbur.*

One page at a time, she would pause.
*"What is my Lord telling me today?"*

🍳 *8:00 AM – 8:30 AM* — Breakfast, mindful eating, listening to Islamic podcast.
🎧 “The Prophet (ﷺ) said there are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these…”

🧹 *8:30 AM – 10:00 AM* — Cleaning & housework with dhikr on lips.
*"La ilaha illAllah, Allahu Akbar, Alhamdulillah…”*
Each dusted shelf — a chance to clean her soul too.

*🌿 Midday Productivity*

🕙 *10:00 AM – 11:30 AM* — Personal study: one new Hadith per day + memorization.
She wrote it. Reflected. Acted upon it.

🕌 *12:00 PM – 1:00 PM* — *Dhuhr Salah + short power nap (20 min).*

*💫 Afternoon Light*

🧕🏻 *1:00 PM – 3:00 PM*— Calling a lonely aunt, helping her sibling study, teaching her niece Surah Fatiha.
*Service = Worship.*

🕌 *3:00 PM – 3:30 PM* — *Asr Salah + Duas for the Ummah.*

📿 *3:30 PM – 4:30 PM* — Walking in the garden, remembering Allah. Each leaf, a reminder: *This life is temporary.*

*🌇 Before Sunset*

🕌 *5:00 PM – 6:00 PM* — *Maghrib Salah + Time with family.*
She looked into her mother’s eyes.
*"Jannah lies beneath her feet. I must earn it here."*

*🌙 Sacred Evenings*

🕌 *7:00 PM – 8:00 PM* — *Isha Salah + Evening Adhkar.*

🖋️ *8:00 PM – 9:00 PM*— Journaling reflections.
*"What did I do for Allah today?"*

🧎‍♀️ *9:00 PM – 9:30 PM* — Short Qiyam. She couldn't always stand, but she sat and raised her hands:
*"Ya Allah, accept even my broken efforts."*

🛏️ *9:30 PM – 4:30 AM* — Sleep, with wudhu, a clean heart, and dhikr on her tongue.

And so it continued…

*Each day: 6 hours of sleep. 18 hours awake.*
*18 x 9 = 162 hours.*
*162 hours = 583,200 seconds of potential.*

She kept a checklist:

* Daily Tasbeeh: 100× each
“SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, Allahu Akbar”
* Fasted 9 days (or at least Arafah if not all)
* Gave daily charity — even ₹10
* Helped one person a day
* Did one sincere repentance a day
* Memorized one new verse
* One sincere dua she had never made before

💧 Day 9: The Day of Arafah

She fasted, cried, raised her hands for hours.
*“Ya Allah, I came to You with time. Not much else. Please accept it.”*

She didn’t perform Hajj, but in those 9 days, her soul did a journey — from heedlessness to love, from delay to devotion.

And when Eid arrived, she had no regrets. Because she *lived* every second like it was a gift from the One who never stops giving.

❤️ Moral:

*You have 777,600 seconds. Don’t waste them.*
Each second of Dhul Hijjah is heavier than gold.
Live it like she did — with intention, direction, and love.

Let this be *your* 9 days that change *everything*.

Let's make a plan to finish reading the Qur'an.

Prioritize Deen over dunya.

Remember, these are the ten most auspicious days of the year.

Our survival until next year is not guaranteed.

Utilize this opportunity, as time is extremely valuable.

Ever been through something and thought,
"Why did this even happen?"

In Surah Al-Kahf everyone loves the part where Khidr explains why he broke the boat, killed the boy, and rebuilt the wall. Because suddenly, the pain makes sense. The confusion becomes clarity.

But here's something to realise:
Musa only got the explanation because it was a lesson. The people who owned the boat, the parents of that child, the town that rejected them they never got told. They just had to live with what happened.

Sometimes in life, you don't get the Khidr moment.
You don't get to find out why something happened.
You just get the qadr.
The closed door.
The loss.
The silence.
And your test is whether you can still trust Allah without needing the explanation.
It's easy to have sabr when the story wraps up neatly.

But the real test is: Can you have tawakkul when you're still in the middle of the story?

We all wait for our Khidr moment the point where everything makes sense. But sometimes, that moment doesn't come in this life. And still, we are asked to trust.

Don't be heedless about the first ten days!!!

Ibnu Uthaymeen رحمه الله said:

What is surprising is that people are heedless about these ten days. You will find them striving in the last ten nights of Ramadan, but in the ten days of Dhul-Hijjah, you will almost not find anyone

who distinguishes them from other days, however,

if a person performs righteous deeds in these ten days, giving life to what the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم directed to, then verily, he is on tremendous good."

The 4 categories of people during the congregational prayers:

بسم الله والحمد لله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله ، وبعد

During the congregational prayers, in regards to following the Imaam, people are divided into four groups:

🚫 The “Forerunners”: Those who precede the Imaam in their bowing and prostration and getting up from them. It is like some race or competition as to who will do it first, the Imaam or those who are praying behind him. They do their action even before the Imaam says the Takbeer (Allaahu Akbar).

🚫 The “Coinciders”: Those who do the actions simultaneously with the Imaam. They don't want to precede the Imaam but they also don’t want to be left behind. They will bow and prostrate with the Imaam. They do their actions while the Imaam is still saying the Takbeer. (Many people come under this category).

The “Followers”: Those who follow the Imaam in his actions. They do not precede him, nor do it simultaneously with him. They wait for the Imaam to complete the Takbeer before doing the required action.

🚫 The “Delayers”: They do not precede the Imaam, nor do they coincide with him, but they also don't follow him in the true sense. They do not follow the Imaam even after he has said the Takbeer. They will keep doing the Adhkaar and wait for a little longer before joining the Imaam.

۩•۞•۩

Narrated Anas bin Maalik رضي الله عنه: Allaah’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم fell from a horse and got injured so he led the prayer sitting and we also prayed sitting. When he completed the prayer he صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “The Imaam is appointed so that he should be followed; if he says the Takbeer then say Takbeer, bow if he bows; raise your heads when he raises his head, when he says: ‘Samia-llaahu liman hamidah’, say: ‘Rabbanaa lakal-hamd’, and prostrate when he prostrates.”

[Saheeh al-Bukhaaree and Saheeh Muslim. This has also been reported from
Aaishah, Abu Hurairah and others رضي الله عنهم. In other narration it is also mentioned: “And when he prays, standing, you should pray standing. And when he prays sitting, all of you should pray sitting. and straighten the rows for the prayer, as the straightening of the rows is amongst those things which make your prayer a correct and perfect one.”]

Speak With What You Intend

Shaykh Muhammad Nasiruddeen Al-Albaani [رحمه الله] said:

❝It is not allowed to justify your mistakes of the tongue with the correctness of the heart, the heart does not justify the tongue.

It is upon us that when we speak that our speech conforms to our good intent.

It should not be that our speech is evil and our intent is good, but rather, our words and speech should conform to what is in the heart.❞

To my brothers and sisters everywhere,
today is the best Friday of the year, and the deeds performed on this day are better than those performed on other Fridays throughout the year.

So strive in your deeds today, and be keen to complete them with sincerity, adherence, and excellence.

Dear brothers and sisters,

Ibn Hajar رحمه الله said:
“A Friday that occurs in the ten days of Dhul Hijjah is more distinguished than any other Friday of the year.”
Fath al-Bārī, 969

As we witness this blessed Friday within the sacred days of Dhul Hijjah, we are reminded of the immense value of sincere supplication.

This is a time when Allah’s mercy descends, and the gates of acceptance are open. Take a moment today — in quiet reflection or in desperate need — to call upon your Lord.

Ask for what your heart longs for.
Ask for healing, guidance, forgiveness, and peace.
And above all- ask for Jannah.

The Prophet ﷺ said:
“....if you ask Allah for anything, ask Him for the Firdaus, for it is the last part of Paradise and the highest part of Paradise, and at its top there is the Throne of Beneficent, and from it gush forth the rivers of Paradise."
Sahih al-Bukhari 7423

Do not leave this day without turning to Allah with a heart full of hope.

O Allah, make us among the people of Jannah, forgive us and our parents, and grant us Al-Firdaus Al-A‘la without reckoning.

May Allah accept your du’as, elevate your ranks, and make Jannah your eternal home, Aameen.

Life is Short, Be Intelligent

The intelligent person knows that real life is the life lived in happiness and tranquility, and that this life is very short. Therefore, he should not make it even shorter with anxiety and endless worries. This contradicts a meaningful existence. Let him be tenaciously stingy with his life and not allow large portions of it to be robbed from him by anxieties and worries.

And among the most effective ways to repel depression is to accustom yourself to not expect appreciation except from Allaah. If you treat someone who has a right upon you or no such benevolently, then know that this is due to your good etiquettes with Allaah, so do not worry about being thanked by them.

Allaah said about the best of His creation:

إِنَّمَا نُطْعِمُكُمْ لِوَجْهِ ٱللَّهِ لَا نُرِيدُ مِنكُمْ جَزَآءً وَلَا شُكُورًا
"We feed you only seeking the Face of Allah. We desire not from you reward nor gratitude."
[Surat al-Insan (76:9)]

Sins are locks [that lock out] mercy, and seeking forgiveness is its key [that opens them]:

{ اسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّكُمْ إِنَّهُ كَانَ غَفَّارًا * يُرْسِلِ السَّمَاءَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِدْرَارًا * وَيُمْدِدْكُمْ بِأَمْوَالٍ وَبَنِينَ وَيَجْعَلْ لَكُمْ جَنَّاتٍ }
“Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever a Perpetual Forgiver. He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in [continuing] showers, and give you increase in wealth and children, and provide for you gardens…” [Nūḥ 71:10-12]

"And Allāh has decreed a decree that cannot be repelled or rebutted;

• The one who loves a matter besides Allāh will be punished by way of it (i.e. love of worship).

• The one who fears other than Him will have that thing overcome him.

• The one who is preoccupied by an affair away from Allāh will have it become a calamity upon him.

• Whomsoever gives precedence to other than Allāh will not be blessed in it.

• Whomsoever pleases other than Him, at the expense of angering Allāh, Allāh will cause them to become discontent with him, and that is guaranteed."
