‘Uthmān b. ‘Affān said: "The one who leaves the Dunya, Allāh will love him.

The one who leaves sin, the Angels will love him.

And the one who has no craving for the possessions of the Muslims, the Muslims will love him.

Ibn Mas’ood رضي الله عنه said,

“Know the people by their friends. The Muslim follows the Muslim and the faajir (disobedient one) accompanies the faajir.”

And he said,

“Verily a man only walks and accompanies one whom he loves and who is like him.”

He also said,

“Know the people by their friends, since a man only befriends one whom he admires and who is like himself.”

Hadith: If one keeps apart from his brother for a year, it is like shedding his blood

Rasool-Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam Said If one keeps apart from his brother for a year, it is like shedding his blood.

There are 3 types of Sabr (patience):

1. Patience in doing good deeds

2. Patience in refraining from evil deeds

3. Patience on the Qadr of Allaah that is hurtful for you

Most people only talk about the 3rd type, forgetting that doing good deeds and refraining from bad deeds also requires patience.

Some scholars said that the 7 people who will ne shaded under Allaah's 'Arsh on the day of judgement, all have one quality in common:

PATIENCE.

Allah didn’t remove the sea for Musa.
He parted it.

Allah didn’t extinguish the fire for Ibrahim.
He made it cool.

Allah didn’t directly heal Ayyub.
He guided him to the water.

Allah didn’t place dates in Maryam’s hands.
He instructed her to shake the tree.

Allah doesn’t always take away our hardships, but He provides a path through them.

So when we seek relief, don’t be surprised if it comes with challenges to overcome. 🤍

A single mother travelled for umrah with her 16 year old son. She’s spent nearly 40 odd years of her life without wearing hijab.

After seeing the kaaba, she made a promise to the Lord of the kaaba: “oh Allah, I promise to wear and honour the hijab for the rest of my life.”

This is what umrah can do. This is how hearts can turn. Alhamdulillah.

Forwarded from Keys To Knowledge
You must have a daily connection with Islamic knowledge. You should learn and review daily: the Quran, Hadith, Arabic, Tawhid, and the Islamic Sciences.

You have to study everyday; even if it's only 10 minutes. If you don't have 10 minutes then you're only fooling yourself. Everyone can at least listen to a lecture while commuting, doing chores, or even while falling to sleep.

If knowledge becomes overwhelming, don't say or think, “let me take a long break to enjoy some entertainment, and then I"ll recharge.”

You have to commit to studying something everyday, and being patient in doing so.

When you feel bored or low on motivation, reduce the amounts you intake, shift to a different topic or science, or meet with those more knowledgeable and ambitious than you.

Knowledge is a blessing from Allah, and if it is wasted away, "paused", or lost, it may never come back.

How many have we seen throughout the years who were once seemingly "diligent" in seeking knowledge, but today are the furthest away from it? May Allah protect us.

Always remember that knowledge nourishes the soul and is never a burden. You desperately need this.

Constantly make abundant istighfar (seeking of Allah's forgiveness), as it cleanses the heart from its toughest stains: sins and heedlessness.

May Allah cleanse our hearts, raise our motivation, and grant us success in obtaining beneficial knowledge.

The Superiority of a Scholar

Narrated Abu Umamah Al-Bahili: "Two men were mentioned before the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). One of them a worshiper, and the other a scholar. So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

'The superiority of the scholar over the worshiper is like my superiority over the least of you.' Then the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Indeed Allah, His Angels, the inhabitants of the heavens and the earths - even the ant in his hole, even the fish - say Salat upon the one who teaches the people to do good.'"

Lesson in tawakkul:

And We inspired the mother of Moosaa (Moses): (telling): "Suckle him [Moosaa (Moses)], but when you fear for him, then cast him into the river and fear not, nor grieve. Verily, We shall bring him back to you, and shall make him one of (Our) Messengers."

...

So did We restore him to his mother, that her eye might be comforted, and that she might not grieve, and that she might know that the Promise of Allaah is true. But most of them know not.

From Tafseer Ibn Katheer: There was only a short time between the distress and the way out, a day and night, or thereabouts -- and Allaah knows best. Glory be to the One in Whose hands are all things; what He wills happens and what He does not will does not happen. He is the One Who grants those who fear Him, a way out from every worry and distress.

You can build wealth and still stay close to Allāh. Have ikhlās in everything you do. Turn your business into an act of worship. Serve others sincerely, stay truthful, and give back generously. Let money be in your hand, not in your heart.💰🤍

You know what's sad?

Fashion abaya and hijab have become the trend that the proper modest clothings are called boring and baduy.

Extravagant weddings in hotels and convention centers have become the norm that simple intimate weddings in the house are called cheap.

Boyfriends and girlfriends have become so prevalent that marriage is often delayed and barely holds significance.

Independent life has become the new goal that suporting and still living with parents are rendered as failure.

Feminism dictates that women should be working women that housewives are seen us low quality women.

Careers in medicine and law are treated the best professionals that our ulama are belittled.

Secular education is the only thing that matters now that we see no problem in being ignorant with the deen.

We have been too lenient with practicing our deen that those who do are called extremists and those who falter in their belief are called the modern Muslims.

Allahul musta'an. 💔

From a sister

For the man's mental health, it's better he knows how to cook sweep and wash cos if the wife vex and no gree cook, he can help himself. These are things that enable bonding btw couples that even if you don't give her money, she will love and value you. Only women who are not appreciative take that gesture from her husband for granted. It's not that women are looking for men that can cook, sweep and wash. It is what a man should be able to do on a normal day except if he has money to contract it out and ease life for his wife or wives.

Nothing wrong in making life easy and less stressful for your wife. Your wife doesn't have to wash and sweep from morning to night b4 you think she is hardworking.

"What are you so afraid of losing when nothing in this world belongs to you?"

• You obsess over outcomes like you own them.

• You stress over people like you control them.

• You chase life as if it can’t be taken back in a second.

Allaah already told you the reality:

"To Allaah belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth." (Qur’an 2:284)

Read that again.

Everything you call "mine" is on loan.

Your parents. Your spouse. Your children. Your money. Your health. Your time.

The bad news is that life is temporary :(

The good news is that life is temporary :)

Dunya starts to feels heavy when you treat borrowed things like they’re permanent.

So whatever you’re stressing about rn?

Relax 😌

It's just Dunya!

A Short Advice

Muawiyah رضي الله عنه wrote to the mother of the believers, Aaishah رضي الله عنها, asking her to write to him some advice but not making it lenghty.

“Assalaamu Alaik. To proceed… I heard the Messenger of Allaah ﷺ saying: ❝Whoever seeks the pleasure of Allaah while the people are displeased, then Allaah will protect him from the troubles caused by the people. And whosoever seeks the pleasure of the people while displeasing Allaah, then Allaah will leave his matter for the people (i.e. Allaah will not protect him from the harms of the people)❞, Wassalaamu Alaik.”
