“If something leaves you powerless and incapacitated, then repeat:

‘La ḥawla wa la quwata illa billah’

(There is no might nor power except with Allah ),

Allah will make your matter easy.”

- Shaykh Ibn al-Uthaymeen (rahimahullah)

[Sharḥ Riyaḍ aṣ-Saliheen 5/522]
The Imam Allaama Shaykh Rabee bin Hadi al-Madkhali -hafidhullaah- said:

"If a person makes a mistake whether it is a minor one or a major one, advice is given with wisdom and good admonition.

There are people who make a claim of Salafeeyah, they are hard and forceful with falsehood, with slander and oppression. They are harsh and hard when being harsh is not required and they have no wisdom whatsoever, nor mercy or any of these things!"

HE WAS NOT HANDSOME, BUT HE WAS A NOBLE MAN BLESSED WITH SOUND UNDERSTANDING!

Imaam Dhahabee (rahimahullaah) stated in the biography of Abdul Azeez Bin Yahyaa Al-Kinaanee Al-Faqee (rahimahullaah) that he had an unsightly appearance. Abee Aynaa said, ”Abdul Azeez entered upon Mamoon whilst his physical appearance was very unsightly, so Abu Ishaaq Al-Mutasim laughed”. He (Abdul Azeez) said, ‘O leader of the believers! Why is this person laughing? Indeed Allaah did not chose Yusuf (alayhis-salaam) due to his handsomeness, rather He chose him for His religion and clarification (of the truth).’ So Mamoon laughed and was amazed by him”.

A valuable advice from Shaykh Ibn Baaz, may Allaah have mercy upon him, who said:
*“If you train yourself to pardon people, your soul will relax, your heart will be tranquil and your rank will become great with Allaah and with His slaves.”*

- Hadeeth Al-Masaa’ pg. 212
It was reported that `Umar bin Al-Khattaab رضي الله عنه asked Ubayy bin Ka`b رضي الله عنه about Taqwa.
Ubayy said: ❝Have you ever traversed a thorny path?❞
`Umar said: ❝Yes.❞
Ubayy said: ❝What did you do then?❞
He said: ❝I collected (or rolled up) all (the loose and flowing) clothing (in my hands) and walked carefully (so that I don’t get pricked and that nothing gets caught in the thorns).❞
Ubayy said: ❝That is Taqwa.❞
[Tafseer Ibn Katheer, Surah al-Baqarah (2): 2]

Meaning: this is how a man with Taqwa would do against sins. He would take every precaution against falling into sins and disobedience to Allaah.

Shaykh-ul-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah was asked:

Which one of them is better; The 10 days of Dhul-Ḥijjah or the last 10 days of Ramaḍān?

So he Raḥimahullāh answered:

“The first 10 days of Dhul-Ḥijjah are better and more virtous than the 10 days of Ramaḍān and the last 10 nights of Ramaḍān are better and more virtous than the 10 nights of Dhul-Ḥijjah.”

● [Majmū al-Fatāwā 25/154]
The Prophet (sallallahu 'alayhi wasallam) used to fast on the first nine days of Dhu’l-Hijjah.

It was narrated from Hunaydah ibn Khaalid from his wife, that one of the wives of the Prophet ( sallallahu 'alayhi wasallam ) said:

The Prophet ( sallallahu 'alayhi wasallam ) used to fast on the first nine days of Dhu’l-Hijjah and the day of ‘Ashoora’, and three days each month, the first Monday of the month and two Thursdays.

The declaration of faith:
“There’s no god but Allāh”
requires you to:
•Love only for the sake of Allāh.
•Hate only for the sake of Allāh.
•Ally yourself only for the sake of Allāh.
•Declare enmity only for the sake of Allāh.
•Love what Allāh loves.
•Hate what Allāh hates.
•Ally yourself with the Muslims wherever you find them.
•Oppose the kuffar even if they’re your closest kin.

IMPORTANCE OF REFUTING THE MISTAKES

بسم الله والحمد لله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله ، وبعد

If a teacher at the school teaches your child:

1+1=11

2+2=22

Would you still say: let’s take the good from him/her and leave the error?

or would you say: let’s wait till the principal takes some action?

No one would wait! Why? Because the education of the child – from the fundamentals of this Dunya - is at risk. No parent would keep silent once they knew the errors of the teacher. Some would even go as far as to have the teacher removed from the school.

But when the fundamentals of the Aakhirah (from the matters of the Deen and `Aqeedah (Creed)) are concerned, some of the people maintain double standards. They say: take the good and ignore the error.

REFUTING INDIVIDUALS IS FOR THE SCHOLARS TO TAKE CARE OF, BUT CORRECTING THE MISTAKE IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF EVERY INDIVIDUAL – THOSE WHO CAN IDENTIFY THE TRUTH FROM FALSEHOOD.

*Correcting mistakes is from enjoining good and forbidding evil:

{And when you see those who engage in a false conversation about Our Verses by mocking at them, stay away from them till they turn to another topic. And if Shaitaan causes you to forget, then after the remembrance sit not you in the company of those people who are the Zalimoon (wrong-doers). Those who fear Allah, keep their duty to Him and avoid evil are not responsible for them in any case,BUT (THE BELIEVER’S DUTY) IS TO REMIND THEM, THAT THEY MAY AVOID THAT.} [Surah al-An`aam (6): 68-69]

*Remaining silent is enjoining evil and preventing good. Rather, remaining silent is like participating in that error:

{And it has already been revealed to you in the Book (this Quran) that when you hear the Verses of Allah being denied and mocked at, then sit not with them, until they engage in a talk other than that; (but if you stayed with them) CERTAINLY IN THAT CASE YOU WOULD BE LIKE THEM…} [Surah al-Nisaa’ (4): 140]
Shaikh Saalih Al Fawzaan (May Allah Preserve him) said:

It is not permissible to hang or stick phrases such as “ما شاء الله” and others on cars

Protecting the Home by Recitation of the Qur’aan

Aboo Hurayrah رضى الله عنه narrated that the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

“Do not make your homes like graveyards, indeed shaytaan avoids the home in which Sooratul-Baqarah is read.” [1]

Ibn Mas’ood رضى الله عنه narrated that the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

“Verily everything has a high point, and the highest point of the Qur’aan is Sooratul-Baqarah, and verily shaytaan, if he hears Sooratul-Baqarah recited, he leaves the house in which Sooratul-Baqarah is recited.” [2]

And the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

“Recite Sooratul-Baqarah in your homes, for indeed shaytaan does not enter a house in which Sooratul-Baqarah is recited in.” [3]

Aboo Mas’ood narrated that the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

“Whoever recites the two verses from the end of Sooratul-Baqarah in a night, they will suffice him.” [4]

‘Uqbah bin ‘Aamir narrated that the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

“Recite these two aayaat that are at the end of Sooratul-Baqarah, for indeed my Lord gave them to me from under the ‘Arsh.” [5]

And the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

“(( Qul Huwal-llaahu Ahad )) and the Mu’awwidhatayn [Sooratul-Falaq and Sooratun-Naas] when you reach evening and when you reach the morning 3 times suffice you from everything.” [6]

Is your MAIN concern the Akhira or Dunya?

It was narrated that Anas (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

“Whoever is mainly concerned about the Hereafter, Allaah will make him feel independent of others and will make him focused and content, and his worldly affairs will fall into place.

But whoever is mainly concerned with this world, Allaah will make him feel in constant need of others and will make him distracted and unfocused, and he will get nothing of this world except what is decreed for him.”
