It was reported that `Umar bin Al-Khattaab رضي الله عنه asked Ubayy bin Ka`b رضي الله عنه about Taqwa.
Ubayy said: ❝Have you ever traversed a thorny path?❞
`Umar said: ❝Yes.❞
Ubayy said: ❝What did you do then?❞
He said: ❝I collected (or rolled up) all (the loose and flowing) clothing (in my hands) and walked carefully (so that I don’t get pricked and that nothing gets caught in the thorns).❞
Ubayy said: ❝That is Taqwa.❞
[Tafseer Ibn Katheer, Surah al-Baqarah (2): 2]
Meaning: this is how a man with Taqwa would do against sins. He would take every precaution against falling into sins and disobedience to Allaah.

Which one of them is better; The 10 days of Dhul-Ḥijjah or the last 10 days of Ramaḍān?
So he Raḥimahullāh answered:
“The first 10 days of Dhul-Ḥijjah are better and more virtous than the 10 days of Ramaḍān and the last 10 nights of Ramaḍān are better and more virtous than the 10 nights of Dhul-Ḥijjah.”

IMPORTANCE OF REFUTING THE MISTAKES
بسم الله والحمد لله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله ، وبعد
If a teacher at the school teaches your child:
1+1=11
2+2=22
Would you still say: let’s take the good from him/her and leave the error?
or would you say: let’s wait till the principal takes some action?
No one would wait! Why? Because the education of the child – from the fundamentals of this Dunya - is at risk. No parent would keep silent once they knew the errors of the teacher. Some would even go as far as to have the teacher removed from the school.
But when the fundamentals of the Aakhirah (from the matters of the Deen and `Aqeedah (Creed)) are concerned, some of the people maintain double standards. They say: take the good and ignore the error.
REFUTING INDIVIDUALS IS FOR THE SCHOLARS TO TAKE CARE OF, BUT CORRECTING THE MISTAKE IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF EVERY INDIVIDUAL – THOSE WHO CAN IDENTIFY THE TRUTH FROM FALSEHOOD.
*Correcting mistakes is from enjoining good and forbidding evil:
{And when you see those who engage in a false conversation about Our Verses by mocking at them, stay away from them till they turn to another topic. And if Shaitaan causes you to forget, then after the remembrance sit not you in the company of those people who are the Zalimoon (wrong-doers). Those who fear Allah, keep their duty to Him and avoid evil are not responsible for them in any case,BUT (THE BELIEVER’S DUTY) IS TO REMIND THEM, THAT THEY MAY AVOID THAT.} [Surah al-An`aam (6): 68-69]
*Remaining silent is enjoining evil and preventing good. Rather, remaining silent is like participating in that error:
{And it has already been revealed to you in the Book (this Quran) that when you hear the Verses of Allah being denied and mocked at, then sit not with them, until they engage in a talk other than that; (but if you stayed with them) CERTAINLY IN THAT CASE YOU WOULD BE LIKE THEM…} [Surah al-Nisaa’ (4): 140]

Protecting the Home by Recitation of the Qur’aan
Aboo Hurayrah رضى الله عنه narrated that the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
“Do not make your homes like graveyards, indeed shaytaan avoids the home in which Sooratul-Baqarah is read.” [1]
Ibn Mas’ood رضى الله عنه narrated that the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
“Verily everything has a high point, and the highest point of the Qur’aan is Sooratul-Baqarah, and verily shaytaan, if he hears Sooratul-Baqarah recited, he leaves the house in which Sooratul-Baqarah is recited.” [2]
And the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
“Recite Sooratul-Baqarah in your homes, for indeed shaytaan does not enter a house in which Sooratul-Baqarah is recited in.” [3]
Aboo Mas’ood narrated that the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
“Whoever recites the two verses from the end of Sooratul-Baqarah in a night, they will suffice him.” [4]
‘Uqbah bin ‘Aamir narrated that the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
“Recite these two aayaat that are at the end of Sooratul-Baqarah, for indeed my Lord gave them to me from under the ‘Arsh.” [5]
And the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

The levels of the early Muslims with regards to Night Prayer.
========================
Imam Ibnul Jawzi said: You should know that the early Muslims were at one of seven levels with regards to night prayer:
Level one: These would stay up the entire night. Some of them would pray Fajr with the same wudu as Isha.
Level two: These would pray half of the night.
Level three: These would pray one-third of the night. The Prophet peace be upon him) said: " The most beloved salah to Allah The Exalted is the salah of Dawud. He would sleep half of the night, pray one-third, and sleep one-sixth". [Agreed upon]
Level four: These would pray one-sixth of the night or one-fifth.
Level five: These would not specify an amount of the night. He would only pray until he became sleepy, and would then sleep. When he woke up, he would pray.
Level six: These would pray two or four rakah.
Level seven: These would stay awake between the two Isha times [the early time for Isha and the later, recommended time], and they would sweeten their mornings [with dua]. This way, they would join the night and morning. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: " Indeed in every night is a time wherein if the worshipper asks Allah for something good, He will give it. And this is in every night."

Not A Leaf Falls Anywhere In The World Except That Allaah Is Aware
Allaah [سبحانه و تعالى] stated in the Qur’ān:
«...not a leaf falls, but he knows it.» [Surah al-An’aam: 59]
-
Imam al-Qurtuby stated regarding this Ayah:
❝Not a leaf falls except that Allah knows of it, i.e. from the leaves of the trees, [not a single leaf falls] except that Allah knows when it fell, where it fell, and how long it floated in the air [before falling to the ground itself].❞
[Tafsir Imam al-Qurtuby, (8/406) | Translated By Abu Muadh Taqweem Aslam]
-
Imam Ibn Kathir stated regarding the same section of the Ayah:
❝[Allah] knows of [all] movements even from inanimate objects, so what therefore do you think [is Allah’s knowledge] of the animals and especially those whom responsibility is upon and are legally obligated and bound by the Shariah from amongst the humans and jinn.❞

❓How many Angels are there?
Allah said in the Qur'an:
وَمَا يَعْلَمُ جُنُودَ رَبِّكَ إِلَّا هُوَ
"And none can know the hosts of your Lord but He." [Muddathir:31]
Consider these examples from the Sunnah indicating the phenomenal numbers of the Angels beyond enumeration:
• Example 1 - 'Abdullah bin Mas'ood رضي الله عنه narrated: "Hell-Fire will be brought on that Day and it has 70,000 reigns, with every reign are 70,000 angels dragging it".
[Muslim 4/2184]
That in of itself is 4.9 billion Angels, in other words 4900,000,000.
• Example 2 - The Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم said in the Hadith regarding the night of al-Israa' wal-Mi'raaj that he asked Jibril عليه السلام regarding al-Bait al-Ma'moor and Jibril said: "This is al-Bait al-Ma'moor - 70,000 Angels pray in it every day, when they exit the last of them never returns".
[Muslim 1/146]
(i.e. They never have the opportunity to return again due to the vast numbers of other groups of 70,000 Angels entering every day).
So consider the multiplications...70,000 on a daily basis since Allah created it till now!
• Example 3 - The Prophet صلى الله علبه و سلم stated: "...there is not the width of 4 fingers worth of space in the heaven except that there is an Angel with his head placed on the ground in prostration, by Allah if you knew what I know, you would laugh only a little and cry abundantly...".
[Ibn Majah 4190, Tirmidhy 2312]

802. Mu`adh bin Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) said, “Whoever gives up wearing elegant and expensive garments out of humbleness, when he can do so, Allah will call him on the Day of Resurrection and before all the creations, He will give him the choice to wear whichever garment of Iman he would like to wear.”

Narrated `Abdullah: Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said,
"Do not wish to be like anyone, except in two cases:
(1) A man whom Allah has given wealth and he spends it righteously.
(2) A man whom Allah has given wisdom (knowledge of the Qur'an and the Hadith) and he acts according to it and teaches it to others."
