Upon the authority of Abu Dardaa [رضي الله عنه] [who narrates] From the Messenger [ﷺ] who said:

❝The Sun does not rise, except that on either side of it there are two angels that make a call that is heard by everyone on earth except Mankind and the Jinn [Saying] 'Oh Mankind! Come to your Lord! That which is little and suffices is better than that which is plenty but distracts [from your Lord].' And it does not set except that on either side of it there are two angels that call, [Saying] 'Oh Allah! Give to the one that spends [in your way] a goodly substitute, and and give to the one that withholds [from giving] destruction.'❞

Translators Note: We benefit from this Hadeeth a number of things:

1. Another one of the duties of the angels.

2. The virtue of satisfaction and sufficiency.

3. The virtue of giving with sincerity.

4. The blameworthy nature of witholding and not spending in the way of Allah.

5. The Fitna of the Dunya.
"A woman's hair is her beauty, therefore, she is required to take care of it. Styling of hair for adornment should be within the lawful limits and permitted means. She should hide her hair from men who are not her Mahram (unmarriageable men)."

Shaykh Salih Al-Fawzān [Al-dawa, 1311]
The Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) said:

وإنه سيخرج في أمتي أقوام تجارى بهم تلك الأهواء كما يتجارى الكلب بصاحبه

‘’And indeed there will appear a people out of my Ummah in whom desires will run through them just as rabies runs through a dog.’’ [1]

Al-Allaamah Ahmad Bin Yahyah An-Najmi (rahimahullaah) said: This is (something) that has taken place; for indeed you see that many amongst the people of those desires (i.e. bidah) do not submit to the truth. They do not return to it (i.e. the truth) after being aware of it, just like the dog afflicted with rabies. Rabies is the disease that afflicts a dog and when afflicted by it, it persists and does not subside; rather it becomes mad or like a mad one. It does not drink water; rather it wishes to bite anyone it finds. [2]

THE SON OF AADAM IS URGED TO REPENT FROM THAT BLAMEWORTHY EAGERNESS AND LOVE FOR WORLDLY POSSESSIONS!

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Ibn Abbaas (radiyallaahu-anhumaa) said: I heard the Messenger of Allaah (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) say, ‘’If the son of Aadam had a valley filled with wealth, he would love to have (another one) similar to it. Nothing can suffice the son of Aadam’s soul except dust. And Allaah forgives the one who repents [Saheeh Muslim’ Hadeeth number 1049]

Few Reminders Related to The Above Hadeeth

The son of Aadam does not cease being eager for the Dunyah until death and thus his mouth is filled with the dust in his grave.

Allaah accepts the repentance of a person who repents from that blameworthy eagerness for the Dunyah (worldly possessions).

This hadeeth censures blameworthy eagerness for the Dunyah, the (blameworthy) love of gathering worldly things and being desirous of them.

A WARNING AGAINST SHAVING THE BEARD

Shaykh ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Bāz (raḥimuhullāh) said: As for the beard, it is impermissible to shave it or take anything from it at any given time; rather it is an obligation to let it grow due to that which has been affirmed in the Ṣaḥīḥayn (Bukhārī and Muslim) on the authority of Ibn ʿUmar (raḍi Allāhu ʿʿʿanhu) who said, the Prophet (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said:

Oppose the polytheists, lengthen the beard and clip the moustaches.

Likewise, Imām Muslim collected in his Ṣahīh, on the authority of Abū Hurayrah (raḍi Allāhu ʿʿʿanhu) who said, the prophet (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said:

Trim the moustaches and grow the beards, oppose the Fire-Worshipers (Majūs).

This calamity has become greater in this time of ours due to many of the people opposing this Sunnah and waging war against (growing) the beards, and them being pleased with looking like women and disbelievers (by not growing their beards), nevertheless, even those who associate themselves with knowledge and educating [fall into this calamity of trimming the beard]. Verily to Allāh we belong and to Him we shall return. We ask Allāh to guide us and guide all of the Muslims to accept the Sunnah, adhere to it and call towards it, even if most of the people turn away from it. Allāh (alone) is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs, there is no might nor power except with Allāh the Most High and Exalted.

JUDGES ARE OF 3 TYPES

Buraydah narrated from his father, who narrated that the Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) said:

”Judges are of three types, one of whom will go to Paradise and two to Hell. A man who knows the truth and judges with it will enter paradise; a man who knows the truth but judges with the opposite of it will enter the fire, and a man who judges for the people based on ignorance will enter the fire.’’

SALAAF AS SAALIH:
Fatwa no. 21778 alifta.com
Shaykh Ibn Baaz Rahimahullaah

Q: The habit of lightening eyebrows has recently spread among women; they lighten the hairs below and above the eyebrow, so that it resembles Nams (removing hair from the face/eyebrows). This habit is an imitation of Western countries. The lightening substance is also medically harmful.

What is the ruling of Shariah (Islamic law) on this deed? Please advise. May Allah reward you! It is worth mentioning that most women request a written Fatwa (legal opinion issued by a qualified Muslim scholar), and refuse to abide by verbal ones. May Allah make us benefit from it and preserve the religion of this Ummah (nation based on one creed). Indeed, He is the One able to do so.

Ans:

It is not permissible to lighten above and below the eyebrows in the way that was mentioned, as it entails changing Allah’s creation and resembles Nams which is prohibited, being in the same sense. It is even more prohibited if it entails imitation of non-Muslims, or if it is harmful to the body or hair. This is because Allah (Exalted be He) says: …and do not throw yourselves into destruction The Prophet (peace be upon him) also said: “There should be neither harming nor reciprocating harm.”
May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.

It was narrated from Mu’aadh ibn Jabal that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The people of Paradise will enter Paradise hairless and beardless, with kohl-rimmed eyes, all thirty or thirty-three years old.”

(Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 2545).

This hadeeth was classed as saheeh by Shaykh al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami’, 8072.
Abu Dhar said, "I was with the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) one day and I heard him saying: "There is something I fear for my Ummah than the Dajjal." It was then that I became afraid, so I said: "Oh Rasool Allah! Which thing is that?" He (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said; "Misguided and astray scholars."

THE SALAF WOULD HAVE EXTREME FEAR ABOUT WHAT WAS ALREADY WRITTEN FOR THEM AND WHAT THEY WOULD DIE UPON

A BENEFIT FROM THE HADEETH OF ABDULLAH IBN MAS’UD: ACTIONS ARE BASED UPON WHAT THEY END UPON

Shaykh Abdur-Razzaaq al-Badr

People in relation to the beginning of their lives and end of their lives are of our four categories:

1. His beginning is good and his end is good

Ex. One who is born in Islam, is raised upon Islam and dies upon it.

2. His beginning is evil and his end is evil

Ex. One who is born with two disbelieving parents and they raise him Christian, Jew or majoos. So he is raised upon this and dies upon this.

3. His beginning is good and his end is evil

Ex. One who is born muslim and raised as muslim then apostates before he dies.

4. His beginning is evil and his end is good

Ex. One who is born from two disbelieving parents, raised as such in a disbelieving society then it is written for him to accept Islam so he dies upon that even if occurs an hour or day before his death.

🌺BEAUTIFUL ADVICES BY IBN ABEE HAATIM (Rahimahullah) 🌺

🎓Ibn Abee Haatim (Rahimahullah) said:
I entered Damascus and came upon the students of hadeeth, and I passed by the circle of Qaasim al-Joo’ee . I found a group sitting around him and he was speaking. Their appearance amazed me; and I heard him saying:

🌺“Seize the benefit of five things from the people of your time:
(1) when you are present, you are not known;
(2) when you are absent, you are not missed;
(3) when you are seen, your advice is not sought;
(4) when you say something, your saying is not accepted;
(5) and when you have some knowledge, you are not given anything for it.

🌺I advise you with five matters:
(1) when you are treated unjustly, do not behave unjustly;
(2) when you are praised do not become happy;
(3) when you are criticised, do not become upset;
(4) when you are not believed, do not become angry;
(5) and if the people act deceitfully towards you, do not act deceitfully towards them.”

Ibn Abee Haatim further remarked: So I took this as my benefit from Damascus.

Be like an Orange – Riyadh ul Saleeheen

“The example of a believer, who recites the Qur’an and acts on it, is like an orange (utrujjah) which tastes nice and smells nice.

And the example of the believer who does not recite the Qur’an but acts on it is like a date that tastes sweet but has no smell.

And the example of the hypocrite who recites the Quran is like a sweet basil which smells good but tastes bitter.

And the example of a hypocrite who does not recite the Qur’an is like a colocynth (bitter apple) which tastes bitter and has a bad smell.”

[Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim ].

Commentary: This Hadith tells us that a believer who recites the Qur’an and acts upon it, Allah will grant him a high rank. He is loved by Allah and also enjoys public esteem. The believer who does not recite it but acts upon its teachings is also loved by Allah and people. The hypocrite who recites the Qur’an to have a good show has an evil and dark mind. Last of all comes that hypocrite who does not recite the Qur’an and has a dark mind and appearance.

Learning Deen ? Aqidah first!

The Companions first learned Imaan before the Qur’aan:

Jundub Ibn Abdullaah al-Bajaly رضي الله عنه said:

“We were youths around the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم. We (first) learned Imaan (faith) and then we learned the Qur’aan and it (the Qur’aan) increased our Imaan.”

Advice of Ibn Qayyim to Ahlus Sunnah from his an-Noonniyyah...

Ibn Qayyim he said:

1. Feel not lonely by the strangeness that you sense amongst the people, for the people are considered to be like those who are dead. Have you not come to know, that ahlus Sunnah are truly the strangers in every era?

2. Tell me, when did the Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم and his companions and those following them in goodness become safe? When were they unharmed? From the harm of the ignorant, the arrogant, stubborn person, the hypocrite, the one who wages war against them through transgression and oppression.

3. You believe that you are an inheritor of this, but you have not tasted any harm in trying to aide the cause of the Most Merciful. Never, nor have you striven truly as is required for the Sake of Allaah subhannahu wa ta a’la with the hand or with the tongue.

4. The soul, inspires you to search for something that is impossible. And we will explain this when we get to it, but it means: the soul, your nafs tells you to try and be accepted by the people but this is impossible. So remove this idea and search for something else.

And then Ibn Qayyim rahimahullaah ta a’la he closes this piece of advice by saying:

5. If you are truly his inheritor, meaning the inheritor of Prophet Muhammed صلى الله عليه وسلم then you will be harmed by those individuals who are responsible for subjecting the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم to all types of injurious harms.

PREOCCUPY THE TONGUE WITH NINE AFFAIRS – BY RABEE BIN KHUTHAYM...

Rabee Bin Khuthaym (rahimahullaah) used to say:

”There is no good in speech except in nine (affairs): Tahleel (i.e. uttering Laa-ilaaha ilal-laah); Takbeer (i.e. uttering Allaahu Akbar); Tasbeeh (i.e. uttering Subhaanallaah); Tahmeed (i.e. uttering Al-Hamdulil-laah); Enquiring about good; Seeking refuge from evil; Enjoining good; Forbidding evil and Recitation of the Qur’aan’’

Someone asked Shaikh Muhammad ibn Saleh al-‘Uthaymeen (rahimahullaah):

What is your advice for an individual who has just begun to practice Islam?

Answer by Shaikh Muhammad ibn Saleh al-‘Uthaymeen (rahimahullaah):

My advice to this new practicing individual is:

1- He should constantly ask Allaah to make him firm.

2 – He should increase in recitation of The Qur`an with contemplation. This is because recitation has a major (positive) effect on the heart, especially when coupled with contemplation and reflection.

3 – He should be diligent in being obedient to Allaah, and he should not become bored or lazy. This is because The Messenger (salAllahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) sought refuge from inability and laziness.

4 – He should be diligent in befriending good companions, and distance himself from evil companions.

5 – He should also advise himself when he finds himself thinking: Time is extremely lengthy and the path is too long! At this point, he should advise himself and remain firm. This is because Jannah (paradise) is surrounded with trials and difficulties, while the The Hell-fire is surrounded with desires.

6 – He should distance himself from bad companions even if they (those companions) are individuals he knew in the past. This is due to the fact that evil/bad companions influence an individual. Because of this, the Messenger (salAllahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: The example of a bad companion is the example of a black smith; either he burns your clothing, or you experience from him a disgusting odor. Beware of the opinions of insignificant people!...

[Sharaf Ashaabul Hadeeth]

Imaam al-Awzaee (d.157H) said: “Hold fast to the narrations of the salaf, even if people were to abandon you. Beware of the opinions of the people, no matter how much they beautify it with their speech.”

[Related by al-Khateeb al-Baghdadee in his excellent book Sharafu Ashaabul-Hadeeth (p.7)]

Imaam al-Asbahaanee (d.535H) said: “The sign of Ahlus-Sunnah is that they follow the Salafus-Saalih and abandon all that is innovated and newly introduced into the Deen.”

[Al-Hujjah fee Bayaanil Mahajjah 1/364]

lbn Taymiyyah (d.728H) said: “There is no criticism for the one who proclaims the way (madhdhab) of the Salaf, who attaches himself to it and refers to it. Rather, it is obligatory to accept that from him by unanimous agreement (Ittifaaq) because the way (madhdhab) of the Salaf is nothing but the Truth (Haqq).”

“The example of the people of innovations is like the scorpion. They bury their bodies and heads in the sands, and they leave out their tails, so that when they are able they sting. And this is the same as the people of innovation, they are concealed amongst the people, then when they are able, they achieve what they desire”.
