"Do not learn knowledge for three reasons: to amaze and confound the foolish, to argue with the learned and to make people's faces turn towards you. Rather, seek what is with Allaah with your hearts and actions, since only that will remain and whatever is besides it will go."
- Ibn Mas'ood (RadhiAllaahu 'Anhu)

Sa’eed Ibn Jubair reported: A man asked Ibn Abbas:

“How many major sins are there? Are there seven?” Ibn Abbas said, “They are closer to seven hundred than only seven, except that no sin is major if it is accompanied with repentance and no sin is minor if it is continuous.”

[Tafseer At-Tabari 9207 | Grade: Sahih (Authentic) according to Ibn Muflih]
“The believers are those who cry out to Allah night and day.

By Allah, a true believer continues to say: ‘O Lord’ secretly & openly until he is answered secretly & openly️”

• Qatadah [Tafsir al-Qurtubi]
A man came to Hasan al Basri and said, “O Abu Sa’eed! Let me debate with you about the Religion.”

Hasan replied, “As for me, I know my religion, if you have lost your Religion then go and look for it.”

[Al-Aajurree; ash-Sharee’ah (p.57)]
Ibn al-Jawzī (d.597AH):

"My son, do not let your past carelessness make you lose hope of achieving good, for many people have come back to wakefulness after long sleep."

Righteous Fear vs. Sinful Delusion

It is reported that Al-Hasan Al-Basrî – Allâh have mercy on him – said:

The believer does the best deeds yet is most fearful [that his deeds will not be accepted]. If he were to spend a mountain of wealth [in charity], he would not feel sure [of the reward] until he sees it. The more righteous and pious he becomes, the more he fears. But the hypocrite (munâfiq) says, ‘There are so many people, I will be forgiven, no problem.’ So he does wrong and evil deeds, yet holds foolish wishes about Allâh.

Al-Dhahabî, Siyar A’lâm Al-Nubalâ` 4:586
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:

The jinn are of three types:

1. A type that has wings, and they fly through the air;
2. A type that looks like snakes and dogs;
3. And a type that stops for a rest then resumes its journey.

Abū Dāwūd al-Sījistānī used to tailor one sleeve of his garment wider than the other. When he was asked about it he said, “The wider sleeve is for books and the other is not in need of it."

"Behave well in your private life and Allaah will make your public life excellent.

Take care of what is between you and Allaah, and he will take care of what is between you and the people.

Work for your Hereafter and Allaah will suffice your affairs in this world.

Sell your worldly life for your Hereafter and you will profit in them both together, and do not sell your Hereafter for your worldly life or you will lose them both together."

Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaimīn [رحمه الله] said:

❝It is only right that a person be optimistic, feeling happy about the good he sees [in things]; and he should not look at the life lying ahead of him in this world as dark and dismal so that he becomes weary [of life] and loses hope.❞

📌THE MOST IMPORTANT OF MATTERS IS THE PRAYER!

📝 Umar Ibn Al-Khattab(رضي الله عنه‎) would write to his governors during his caliphate and say:
“The most important of your affairs in my view is prayer; whoever prays regularly has protected his faith, but whoever neglects it, is bound to be more negligent in other issues of faith.”

🍃. It was narrated from Khaarijah, that his paternal uncle said: "We came from meeting with the Prophet(saw) and we came to an Arab tribe who said: 'Do you have any medicine? For we have with us an insane man in chains. They brought the insane man in his chains and I recited the Opening of the Book( *Surah Fatiha* ) over him for three days, morning and evening, gathering my saliva and then blowing, then he was healed.
They offered me payment and I said, No.
They said: Ask the Prophet (saw).
So I asked him and
He(saw) said:

The Difference between Contentment and Patience.

• Being patient involves restraining the self and preventing it from giving in to resentment, in spite of any suffering that it experiences, in the hope that the misfortune which afflicts it will come to an end - as well as restraining the limbs from behaving badly out of impatience.

• Being content, on the other hand, involves feeling at ease in accepting the Divine Decree, and being unconcerned with when any suffering will stop although it is being experienced. Being content alleviates any suffering by reason of the heart's immersion in the spirit of certainty and knowledge. If the contentment increases in its intensity, then it removes the experiencing of any suffering altogether.

It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that the Messenger of Allah (Salallahu 'alayhi wa Salam) said:
"The greatest reward comes with the greatest trial. When Allah loves a people He tests them. Whoever accepts that wins His pleasure but whoever is discontent with that earns His wrath."
[Sunan ibn Majah, 4031]

It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“There are three whom Allaah is bound to help: the mujaahid who strives (in jihad) for the sake of Allaah,
the mukaatib (a slave who has made a contract of manumission with his master) who wants to pay off his manumission,
and a man who gets married, seeking to remain chaste.”
