The Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) said,

"If there were to be a Prophet after me then he would be Umar ibn Al-Khattab.”

[Sahih Bukhari Volume 5,
Book 57, no. 38]
Aboo Tayyib At-Tabaraaee (May Allah have mercy upon him) was over one hundred years old and was still of sound mind and physically sound.

He said: "We used to safeguard these limbs from disobedience when we were young, and Allaah has safeguarded them in our elderly age."

Three Laughs and Three Tears

It is reported form Abû Al-Dardâ – Allâh be pleased with him – that he said, “Three make me laugh, and three make me cry.

Those that make me laugh are a person who puts his hopes in this worldly life while death pursues him, a person who is heedless [of his Lord] while [his Lord] is not heedless of him, and a person who always laughs while he does not know whether he has pleased Allâh or angered Him.

What makes me cry is being separated from my beloved: Muhammad and his party (the Companions), the horrors of the time of death, and standing in front of Allâh ‘azza wa jall on the Day when the secrets will be revealed and I do not know will I then go to Paradise or Hell?”

Ibn Al-Mubârak, Al-Zuhd wa Al-Raqâ`iq article 250.
♻️Anger Management♻️

Narrated Abu Hurairah: A man said to the Prophet ﷺ: “Advise me!” The Prophet ﷺ said: “Do not become angry and furious.” The man asked (the same) again and again, and the Prophet ﷺ said in each case, “Do not become angry and furious.”

Shamsuddeen Muhammad bin Abee Bakr Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah [D.751 A.H.] [رحمه الله] said:

❝There is no doubt that the heart becomes rusty just like brass and silver and other things become rusty, and it becomes bright and illuminated with Dhikr. It becomes so bright until it is a shiny mirror, therefore if the heart is left then it becomes rusty and if it remembers Allaah it becomes illuminated.

The heart becomes rusty due to two matters: due to negligence and sins, and it becomes illuminated with two things: with seeking forgiveness and Dhikr.❞

Its not permissible to recite the Qur’an for the deceased & the reward for this recitation does not reach them, but its a Bidah

Q: Does the reward of reciting Qur'an and other acts of worship reach the deceased, whether done by the deceased's offspring or by others?

A: As far as we know, there is NO report from the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم to indicate that he recited Qur’an and dedicated its reward to the dead, whether they were his relatives or others. If the reward could reach them, he would have been keen on doing so and would have taught it to his Ummah (Nation) so that they could help the dead in this way. He صلى الله عليه وسلم was filled with compassion and mercy towards his Ummah.

The Rightly-Guided Caliphs and the rest of the Sahabah (Companions of the Prophet) followed his guidance (may Allah be pleased with them all). We do not know that any of them dedicated the reward of reciting Qur’an to someone else. The best of all goodness resides in following the guidance of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم and of the Rightly-Guided Caliphs and the rest of the Sahabah (may Allah be pleased with them), and evil resides in following Bid
ah (innovation in religion) and innovated matters.

The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم warned us about this when he said, Beware of newly-introduced matters in (religion), for every newly-introduced matter is a Bidah (innovation in religion), and every Bidah is a Dalalah (deviation from what is right). He also said, Whoever introduces anything into this matter of ours (Islam) that is not part of it, will have it rejected. Therefore, it is NOT permissible to recite the Qur’an for the dead as the reward of this recitation does NOT reach them. Rather, this is a Bidah.

With regard to other kinds of acts of worship, wherever there is a reliable proof indicating that the reward may reach the deceased, then we should accept this, e.g. Giving Sadaqah (voluntary charity) on their behalf, making Du
a’(supplicating to Allah) for them, and performing Hajj on their behalf. However, things unjustified by evidence may not be observed until evidence is established in their support. Therefore, according to the more correct of the two scholarly opinions, it is not permissible to recite the Qur’an for the deceased, and the reward for this recitation does not reach them, but is rather a Bid`ah.

May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.

Advice To Muslim Women, By Shaykh Bin Baaz (rahimahullaah)

Allaah says:

"Then do not be soft in speech, lest he in whose heart there is a disease (of fornication) should be moved with desire. But rather speak in an honorable manner. And stay in your houses and do not openly display yourselves like that of the days of ignorance."

[Ahzaab: 32-33]

Shaykh Bin Baaz comments:

"In this ayah, Allaah forbids the wives of the noble Prophet, the Mothers of the Believers – who are from amongst the best and purest of women – from speaking softly to men, which means making the voice sound gentle and pleasant…

Allaah further commands the women to stay in their homes and forbids them from indecently exposing themselves as the women would do in the days of ignorance (jaahiliyyah)…

This is because of what is found in that form great mischief, overwhelming temptation and an incitement of male hearts towards embarking on the means of fornication.

So if it is the case that Allaah warned the Mothers of the Believers from these evil things, in spite of their uprightness, strong faith and pure nature, then this means that all women besides them take more precedence in this matter.

They are more deserving of being warned and forbidden, and they have more right that we fear for them the causes of fitnah."

[Taken from "Four Essays On The Obligation Of Veiling". Chapter: "The Dangers Of Tabarruj (Immoral Exposure)", by Shaykh Bin Baaz, Pp. 11-12]
Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) says:

“And whatsoever of you spend of anything (in Allah’s Cause), He will replace it.” [34:39]

“And whatever you spend in good, it is for yourselves, when you spend not except seeking Allah’s Countenance. And whatever you spend in good, it will be repaid to you in full, and you shall not be wronged.” [2:272]
Al-Imām Ibn Qayyim: "The False Methodology of Ibn Hazm Regarding Musical Instruments"
The scholar Ibn al-Qayyim said in his book Ighāthat al-Luhfān 1/259-260 and in Tahdhīb as-Sunan 5/271-272, in merging and summarizing what he said:
“No one who has slandered the authenticity of this Ḥadīth has done anything like what Ibn Ḥazm has in support of his false methodology [Madh’hab] in declaring musical instruments permissible and alleging that [the Ḥadīth] has a disconnected chain of narration because al-Bukhārī did not connect it. And this slander is false from various perspectives…”

READING STAR SIGNS

Shaykh Salih Alaa ash - Shaykh [حفظه الله] said:

❝Whoever reads the page which contains star signs and he knows the star sign of when he was born, or he knows that star sign which is significant for him, and he reads the comments mentioned in that star sign then it is as if he has asked a soothsayer/fortune teller. So his prayer would not be accepted for forty days.

If he attests to it and believes in that star sign then he has disbelieved in that which was revealed to Muhammad [ﷺ] ... [the Shaykh continues saying]: and if he brings home newspapers which contain these type of things then it is as if he brought a soothsayer/fortune teller into his house.❞

THE PRESERVATION OF ISLAM AND ITS SOURCES (QUR'AN AND SUNNAH)

Allah the Most High said:

إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا الذِّكْرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُ لَحَافِظُونَ {9

Verily We: It is We Who have sent down the Dhikr (i.e. the Quran) and surely, We will guard it (from corruption). (Qur'an 15:9)

The Hadith: “Verily, Allah sends for this Ummah at the head of every hundred years the one who renews for it its religion”

Sulayman ibn Dawud Al-Mahry who said: Abdullah ibn Wahb informed me on the authority of Said ibn Ayyub from Sharahil ibn Yazid Al-Mu‘afiry from Abu ‘Alqamah from Abu Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: “Verily, Allah sends for this Ummah (nation) at the head of every hundred years the one who renews for it its religion.”

This is a Sahih (authentic) Hadith whose narrators are all Thiqat (reliable and trustworthy).

The meaning of the Prophet’s ﷺ statement: renews for it its religion is that whenever many Muslims start to deviate from the straight path of the Din (religion) of Islam perfected and chosen by Allah for His servants to complete His Favor upon them, He will raise among them one or several scholars who have profound knowledge of Islam to teach people the Qur’an and authentic Sunnah of the Prophet (ﷺ).

These scholars will warn Muslims from falling into acts of Bid‘ah (innovations) and newly-invented practices introduced into the religion and will guide them back to the straight path of the Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet (ﷺ). Therefore, this is described as a “renewal” as regards the Ummah and not as regards religion itself that was ordained and perfected by Allah. Change, decline and deviation may only happen time after time to the Ummah, whereas Islam shall remain guarded by the divinely guarded Book of Allah (the Qur’an) and the Sunnah of His Messenger (ﷺ). Allah (Exalted be He) says (what means): Verily, We, it is We Who have sent down the Dhikr (i.e. the Qur’ân) and surely, We will guard it (from corruption).

The Hadith only indicates that they will be raised by the Will and Wisdom of Allah at the head of every hundred years, according to the Hijri (lunar) calendar, as it was the only one Muslims used at that time. It is out of Allah’s Grace and Mercy towards His servants to raise among them these reformers so that no person should have an excuse after conveying and clarifying the message of Islam to them.

"How remarkable it is that, whoever seeks the life of the hereafter, would have a pleasant life in this world, and whoever seeks the life of this world, both the life of this world and afterlife would be lost to him!"

-Shaykh Muḥammad Ibn Ṣāliḥ al-‘Uthaymīn Rahimahullāh

● [تفسير البقرة ٣/٢٣]
Al-'Allaamah Rabee' bin Haadi al-Madkhali (may Allah protect him and take care of him) said:
"The youth must have patience, wisdom, brotherhood upon the truth and cooperation upon righteousness and piety in spreading the truth which Allah guided them to.
Indeed Satan runs between the Salafi youth [causing] insignificant differences and is spreading amongst them blind fanaticism which is precisely the fanaticism of the hizbees (partisans). This is because the environment has emitted its poison thereby affecting some of the youth who have not yet digested the Salafi call.
They (the youth) have to be aware of the imminent dangers surrounding the Salafi methodology. By Allah, nowadays all the [deviant] groups along with the western countries behind them have come together to suppress Islam, as represented by Da'wah Salafiyyah.
We cannot confront these affairs with 'it was said and he said’, because this would result in the destruction of the Da'wah and the loss of its youth. Firstly, leave off 'it was said and he said'… leave off DEFAMING SALAFIS… leave those things which provoke differences.
O brothers, I advise you with perseverance and I implore you by Allah to have mercy on Da’wah Salafiyyah and its scholars, since they are suffering the distress caused by these actions. Leave these issues and dedicate yourself to [gaining] religious knowledge and praise Allah, Who enabled you to tread the path of the Salaf.

Owais Al-Hashimi حفظه الله
Evil Eye is more dangerous than Black Magic!

Many times clients come to the clinic believing that they are afflicted with Black Magic, but in reality they are suffering in their health, wealth and families due to Evil Eye. Most people are negligent in protecting themselves with the recommended daily Adkhar (morning and evening duas) and do not worry about showing off their blessings; posting every detail of their life on social media, snap chatting everything from their new clothes, cars to children. Know that not everyone who sees your story will invoke the blessings of Allah upon you. In showing off your blessings you will undoubtably cause envy in may hearts and suffer the consequences. I get asked a lot about which is worse, Black Magic or Evil Eye, well based on the evidence from the hadith of Rasul Allah, Evil is lethal and if not treated correctly WILL KILL YOU.

Narrated by Jabir, Rasul Allah said :
“Most of those who die among my ummah (followers) die because of the will and decree of Allah, and then because of the evil eye.”

(With regard to the hadeeth that you mention, “One third of those who are in the grave are there because of the evil eye,” we do not know how sound it is, but the author of Nayl al-Awtar said that al-Bazzar narrated with a hasan isnad (sound chain of narrators) from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Most of those who die among my ummah (followers) die because of the will and decree of Allah, and then because of the evil eye.”)

Imam Ahmad, Malik, al-Nasai and Ibn Hibban narrated from Sahl ibn Haneef that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came out and traveled with him towards Makkah, until they were in the mountain pass of al-Kharar in al-Jahfah. There Sahl ibn Haneef did ghusl (bathed), and he was a handsome white-skinned man with beautiful skin. ‘Amir ibn Rabee’ah, one of Banu ‘Adiyy ibn K’ab looked at him whilst he was doing ghusl and said: “I have never seen such beautiful skin as this, not even the skin of a virgin,” and Sahl fell to the ground. They went to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said, “O Messenger of Allah, can you do anything for Sahl, because by Allah he cannot raise his head.” He said, “Do you accuse anyone with regard to him?” They said, “‘Amir ibn Rabee’ah looked at him.” So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) called ‘Amir and rebuked him strongly. He said, “WHY WOULD ONE OF YOU KILL HIS BROTHER? If you see something that you like, then pray for blessing for him.” Then he said to him, “Wash yourself for him.” So he washed his face, hands, forearms, knees and the sides of his feet, and inside his izaar (lower garment) in the vessel. Then that water was poured over him, and a man poured it over his head and back from behind. He did that to him, then Sahl got up and joined the people and there was nothing wrong with him. Classed as saheeh (authentic) by al-Albani in al-Mishkat.

The Muslim has to protect himself against the devils among the evil jinn and mankind, by having strong faith in Allah and by putting his trust in Him and seeking refuge with Him and beseeching Him, reciting the prayers for protection narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), reciting al-Mu’awwadhatayn [the last two surahs of the Quran], Surat al-Ikhlas, Surat al-Fatihah, and ayat al-Kursi.

Du’as for protection include the following:

A’oodhu bi kalimat-illah il-tammati min sharri ma khalaqa (I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of that which He has created).

A’oodhu bi kalimat-illah il-tammati min ghadabihi wa ‘iqabihi, wa min sharri ‘ibadihi wa min hamazat al-shayateeni wa an yahduroon (I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from His wrath and punishment, from the evil of His slaves and from the evil promptings of the devils and from their presence).

And one may recite the words of Allah:

“Hasbi Allahu la ilaha illa huwa, ‘alayhi tawakkaltu wa huwa Rabb ul-‘arsh il-‘azeem
(Allaah is sufficient for me. La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He) in Him I put my trust and He is the Lord of the Mighty Throne).”

Attacking The Fetus by Abortion
Shaykh Muhammad 'Ali Ferkous

The question:
I am an old woman. When I was young, I attacked my fetus by aborting him after a period [of gestation]. I do not remember if it was three or 4 months. This is still tormenting me night and day. So, could you give me a solution to my problem or guide me and free me from the anxiety that I am suffering from? May Allah reward you.

♻️The answer:
All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. Peace and blessing be upon whom Allah sent as a mercy to the Worlds, upon his Family, his Companions & his Brothers till the Day of Resurrection.

As a rule, abortion is forbidden & prohibited, because it constitutes an attack on an existing and produced being. Such an act is considered as a crime in the first stages of the fetus existence. This crime becomes more odious if the fetus has a soul and a perfect creation. Therefore, if the crime is committed – after that the fetus reaches the fourth month, that is to say, one hundred & twenty days and that we make sure that he moves in the womb of his mother - be it intentionally or by mistake, this will be an attack against him, and implies an expiation as Allah’s right & blood money as human’s right.

The expiation consists in freeing a believing slave. And whoever does not find a slave to free him, then he has to fast two months consecutively. But, if he cannot fast either, he remains in charge of doing it according to one of the opinions of the scholars, or he has to feed sixty poor persons according to the other opinion. If he cannot, he remains in charge of doing it until he will be able to do it. Besides, menses do not interrupt the consecution of the woman’s expiation fasting.

As for the blood money, it is the mother who is in charge of paying it from her money. [In this case] it is estimated at five percent of the [real] blood money(1). This blood money will be inherited by the fetus’ heirs, as if he would be killed after his birth, except his mother for she committed the offence against him. Nevertheless, if the heirs give up the blood money, the mother should not pay anything,

The meaning of the verse:
﴾And whoever kills a believer by mistake, then the freeing of a believing slave and a compensation payment presented to the deceased’s family [is required] unless they give [up their right as] charity﴿
[An-Nissâ' (The Women): 92].

In case the fetus, against whom the crime is committed, does not reach four months, there is no expiation to make for him because the soul is not breathed into him yet. Actually, it is obligatory to make expiation only when the person who is killed by mistake has a soul. However, if the fetus is an embryo so that he got a human shape or some of his limbs are formed, in such case, he will take the same ruling regarding the fetus [who has a soul] in relation to the obligation of giving the blood money.

Furthermore, the woman who committed the crime has to repent before Allah عزَّ وجلَّ [of what she has done]& to increase good deeds & acts of obedience, for it is authentically reported that, “Regret is repentance”(2) & that, “whoever repents of a sin is like the one who has not done it”(3).

The meaning of the verse:
﴾Say, “O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is he who is the Forgiving, the Merciful”﴿
[Az-Zumar (The Groups): 53].

The perfect knowledge belongs to Allah عزَّ وجلَّ. Our last prayer is all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. Peace & blessing be upon our Prophet, his Family, his Companions and Brothers till the Day of Resurrection.
