Shaikh Sulaimān Al-Ruhailī said:

The scholars say: The believer takes up an easy, gentle approach in his call [to Allāh] as [his] initial course, and he may find a need for harshness. So when a hand is washed, it's washed gently--as an initial course--but some things may get stuck to it that require some harsh scrubbing.

So the one who comes and says, "No, no, don't scrub your hands harshly," [that means] it will remain dirty all the time.

Eat and Drink but waste not by EXTRAVAGANCE!
-------------------------------------------------------
Allah, may He be exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning):
“and eat and drink but waste not by extravagance, certainly He (Allah) likes not Al-Musrifoon (those who waste by extravagance)”
[al-A ‘raaf 7:31].

It was narrated that Miqdaam ibn Ma‘di Karib said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu 'alayhi wasallam) say:
“The son of Adam does not fill any vessel worse than his stomach. It is sufficient for the son of Adam to eat a few mouthfuls to keep him standing upright. But if he must (fill it), then one third for his food, one third for his drink, and one third for his breathing.”
[Narrated by at-Tirmidhi, 2380; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in as-Silsilah as-Saheehah, 2265]

Some of the salaf (early generations of Muslims) said: Allah summed up all of medicine in half a verse (interpretation of the meaning): “and eat and drink but waste not by extravagance” [al-A ‘raaf 7:31].

[End quote from Tafseer Ibn Katheer, 3/406]

Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) said, concerning what we learn from the verse quoted above:

Here Allah commands His slaves to consume food and drink that will maintain the body and replenish energy, and tells them that it should be of sufficient quantity and quality to benefit the body; if it goes beyond that, then it is extravagance, and both are detrimental to health and cause disease – I mean not eating and drinking, or being extravagant in that regard. Maintaining good health is all summed up in these few divine words.

[End quote from Zaad al-Ma‘aad, 4/195]
Silat-ur-rahem (Observing bonds of kinship, i.e family)

Narrated Abu Huraira: I heard Allaah's Apostle sallallahu alaihi wa sallam saying, "Whoever is pleased that he be granted more wealth and that his lease (span) of life be prolonged, then he should keep good relations with his kin."

[Sahih al-Bukhari, Vol. 8, Kitab al-Adab, Hadith 14 & 15 , 5985 and Sahih Muslim]

Abu Hurayrah reported that the Prophet :saws: said: "Learn enough of your lineage, so that you can establish the ties of kinship, for establish the ties of kinship increases the love amongst families and multiplies wealthand extends age"

[Shaykh Al-Albani in Sahih Sunan Al-Tirmidhi (2/190)]

Abu Bakrah reported the Messenger Of Allaah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam as saying: "There is no wrong action which Allaah is swifter to punish in this world - in addition to the punishment which He has stored up for the wrongdoer in the Next World - than oppression and cutting off ties of kinship. [The swiftest of good deeds in retribution is the (act of) fulfilling the ties of kinship. So much so, that it is possible that a family can be evil, but their money and their numbers will increase if they fulfill the ties of kinship.]"

[Sahih Ibn Hibban 440. Part of the Hadith is narrated by Abu Dawood 4902, Ibn Majah 4211, Tirmidhi 2511, Adab Al Mufrad of Imam al-Bukhari, and Tabarani and authenticated by Shaikh Al-Albani in as-Saheehah 918. The second part was also authenticated by Shaikh al-Albaanee in Saheeh al-Jaami' 5705]
Sa'eed b. Jubayr Raḥimahullāh: “The first ones to be called towards Jannah are those who praise Allāh in every condition, in happiness and in distress.”

● [الزهد لابن مبارك]
Abu Dharr reported: I said, “O Messenger of Allah, instruct me.”

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “I advise you to be mindful of Allah Almighty, for it will beautify all of your affairs.” I said, “Tell me more.”

The Prophet said, “You must recite the Quran and remember Allah Almighty, for you will be mentioned in heaven and you will have light upon earth.” I said, “Tell me more.”

The Prophet said, “You must observe long periods of silence, for it will drive away Satan and help you in the matter of your religion.” I said, “Tell me more.”

The Prophet said, “Beware of too much laughter, for it will deaden the heart and take away the light on your face.” I said, “Tell me more.”

The Prophet said, “Do not fear the blame of any critic in the matter of Allah.”

🔵White lies vs. Black lies explained🔵

🌿by Shaykh Fawzan حفظه الله🌿

👉Question: The questioner asks O Shaykh; is there such thing as white lies and black lies?

👉Shaykh Fawzan: All lies are black, there are no white lies; all of them are black and they are not
permissible. Except in the three situations mentioned by the Prophet, prayers and peace are upon him:

1⃣ Lying in order to make peace between people who have had a falling out;

2⃣ or the spouses lying to each other in an effort to mend the relationship;

3⃣ or lying in an effort to escape the oppressor, in order to escape from the oppressor.

👉And this is called: Interpretation. Outside of this, lying is haraam; all of them. And lying is from the major sins and it is not permissible.

Lengthens Your Life

From ‘Aa’ishah (radhi Allaahu ‘anha) that the Prophet [sall Allaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam] said to her:

: «إنه من أُعطِيَ حظَّه من الرِّفقِ فقد أُعطِيَ حظَّه من خيرِ الدنيا والآخرةِ، وصلةُ الرَّحم، وحسنُ الخُلُقِ وحسنُ الجوارِ يٌعمَّرانِ الدِّيارَ ويزيدانِ في الأعمارِ»

“Certainly whoever has been given a portion of gentleness, has been given his portion of goodness in the world and the hereafter. Having good relations with relatives, good manners and being good to neighbours blesses your dwellings and lengthens your life.”

This Is Tremendous Du’a – Seeking Refuge With Allaah From Evil People Around You

And Here Is Its Translation:
Abu Hurayrah (Radee’Allaahu anhu) said that from his (Messenger of Allaah, sallAllaahu alayhee wa aalehee wasalam) supplications were:
“Oh Allaah, I seek refuge with you
From an evil neighbour; and
From a wife who causes me to grow old before old age; and
From a son who will become a master over me; and
From wealth which will become a punishment for me; and
From a cunning friend whose gaze is upon me & whose heart is plotting & planning against me, such that if he sees Something good, he buries it & if he sees something bad he spreads it.”
