Q: “When are the times for the morning and evening adhkaar (words of remembrance)?”

Shaikh al-Albaani:

“The morning adhkaar are after fajr and the evening adhkaar are after `asr.”

[silsilat ul-hudaa wa nnoor 192/6 / alalbaany.com]

▪️ *Each of you is a shepherd and each of you is responsible for his flock*

The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu 'alayhi wasallam) said: “INSTRUCT your CHILDREN to PRAY when they are SEVEN years old and SMACK them if they do not do it WHEN they are TEN, and separate them in their beds.” [Narrated by Abu Dawood, 495; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Abi Dawood]

Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
Whoever neglects to teach his son that which will benefit him, and ignores him, has done something very bad indeed. MOST children go astray because of their parents who neglect them and fail to teach them the duties and Sunnahs of their religion. They neglect them when they are young so they do not benefit themselves or benefit their parents when they grow up. End quote. [End quote from Tuhfat al-Ahwadhi, p. 229]

It was narrated that ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu 'alayhi wasallam) say: “Each of you is a shepherd and each of you is responsible for his flock. The ruler is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock. A man is the shepherd of his household and is responsible for his flock. A woman is the shepherd of her husband’s house” [Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 853; Muslim, 1829]

Pray that Allah help them (your children) and guide them; your SUPPLICATION will be an important means of their being guided, so do not neglect it and do not think little of it.

*The Categories of Patience*

There are three Categories of Patience

1. الصبر على طاعة الله
1. Patience upon the obedience of Allāh
2. الصبر عن محارم الله
2. Patience Upon ones transgression of Allāh
3. الصبر على أقدار الله
3. Patience Upon the decree of Allāh.

Shaykh Sālih Al Fawzān حفظه الله said:

"The First Category: Patience Upon the Obedience of Allāh:

The soul is inclined towards and wishes for loneliness and ease, so it is incumbent upon mankind to be patient upon the obedience (of Allāh), and upon Salāh, and upon fasting, and upon Jihād in the way of Allāh, and (even) if these affairs are disliked to an individual, he is patient upon it and confines himself to the obedience of Allāh.

The Second Category: Patience Upon Ones Transgression of Allāh:

The soul is inclined towards and wants that which is impermissible for it. It leans towards the desires and transgressive actions and wishes for them. So, it is incumbent that a person that he restrains and disconnects his soul from those transgressive acts. And this, requires patience. It is not an affair that is easy, to block oneself from falling into transgressive acts and those affairs which ones desires lead him to. Whomsoever does not possess patience, then indeed his soul will overcome/overwhelm him and will be more inclined to the transgression of Allāh.

The Third Category: Patience Upon the Decree of Allāh (That which is painful, sad or distressing)

Those afflictions that fall upon man from, the death of one who is close to them, or the loss of wealth, or sickness that ails man, then it is incumbent that a person is patient upon the decree and the will of Allāh. He does not fall into extreme grief, sadness and anxiety nor does he complain or become displeased or discontent. Rather he refrains/withholds his tongue from wailing, grumbling and complaining. And he refrains from despondency, withholding his limbs from slapping his cheeks (in extreme grief) and the ripping of his pockets (from anger and distress). So, this patience upon the decree of Allāh

The Permissible Lying – Shaykh al-Albaani

Umm Kulthum bint ‘Uqbah (radi Allaahu ‘anhaa) said: “the Prophet (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) allowed lying in three (situations): during war, in reconciling between people, and the speech of a man to his wife. {In another narration:} the speech of a man to his wife and the speech of a woman to her husband.”

~*~*~*~

Shaykh al-Albaani (rahimahullaah) comments:[1]

“I say, it is not part of the permissible lying that (the man) promises (his wife) something that he does not intend to fulfill for her, or he tells her that he bought such and such thing for her with such and such price – i.e., more than the real (price) – for the purpose of pleasing her, because that may be revealed to her; then it will be a reason for her to think badly of her husband, and that is part of corruption, not rectification.”

The Woman’s Voice Is a Source of Fitnah...

In the Name of Allāh, the Ever Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy

Shaykh Muqbil ibn Hādī al-Wādiʿī (رحمه الله) said:

"It is necessary that the woman speaks only when it is required of her because her voice may be a source of fitnah for a man, and Allāh’s aid is sought. We do not say, ‘The woman’s voice is a part of her ‘awrah’; however, it is a source of fitnah."

Q: Is it true that angels do not attend women's learning circles, if the women do not wear Hijab (veil)?

A: I do not know of any basis for this. It is permissible for women to recite the Ever-Glorious Qur'an and make Dhikr (Remembrance of Allah) even if they do not wear Hijab, provided that they are not in the presence of a non-Mahram (not a spouse or an unmarriageable relative) and this does not withhold the angels from attending their circles. May Allah grant us success.

We Are Not Here To Live Like Animals...

We did not appear in this worldly life to live in it like grazing animals and merely eat, drink and sleep. Rather, we came to this dunyā (the worldly life) in order to prepare provisions for the hereafter.

🏜 *The obligation to Follow the Righteous predecessors (Salaf us Saalih)*:

Stated ʿUmar ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz (d.101H),

🔉“ *Those who have preceded*,
-they stopped upon knowledge,
-they restrained due to penetrating insight, and
-they were _the keenest_ in uncovering the affairs.

Furthermore, if the guidance is what you are upon, *then they have preceded you in it*.

🗞And if you say that affairs were invented after them, then nothing was invented, except by one who follows other than their path and prefers _himself_ over them.

Indeed, they spoke about it with that which suffices, and they described from it that which satisfies.

So whatever is below them is _deficient_ and whatever is above them is confinement.🌷

💭Indeed, there were people below them, so they worked in vain. And others turned away from them, *so they fell into extremism.*

💭Indeed, they were in between that, upon straight guidance.”

A MAN WAKES IN THE MORNING A MUSLIM…” SHAYKH RABEE’

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Shaikh Rabee Bin Haadi [may Allaah preserve him] said:

Abu Hurairah (radiyallaahu-anhu) narrated that the Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) said: “Hasten towards (performance of) good deeds; (for) there will be trials which would be like a part of a dark night, wherein (i.e. during these trials)a man wakes up as a believer& becomes a disbeliever by night;or he begins the night as a believer & wakes up as a disbeliever,& a man would sell his religion for a (portion) of the worldly life (i.e. the worldly goods).” [Saheeh Muslim Kitaab Al-Imaan number: 118]

Shaikh Rabee Bin Haadi [may Allaah preserve him] said:

The author [i.e. Imaam Al-Aajurree] pointed out that a lot of fitan [trials] have occurred–a people were humiliated during it and also [others] were destroyed, such as the likes of Abu Muslim Al-Khurasaanee & [during] the fitna of Ibnul Raawandee.

Many fitan have occurred & from them, the fitna of the khawaarij, the Rawaafid and killing. Deviation & misguidance have occured –either fighting and trials [related] to politics or trials [related] to creed, methodology & what is similar to it. Many people who were to be destroyed were destroyed & the one whom Allaah protected was saved & made to adhere to the true methodology.

Indeed, all praises and thanks be to Allaah, many [people] were saved due to the clarity & establishment of this methodology [of the Salaf], just as the Messenger [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallaam] promised that “There will not cease to be a group from my Ummah manifest & upon the truth –neither being harmed by those who forsake them nor by those who oppose them until the hour is established.”

So Allaah’s proof has been established against the people 4m the time the Muhammad [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallaam] was sent until the establishment of the hour.

A time will not come except that His [i.e. Allaah’s] proofs are established.[These proofs will be] established by the inheritors of the prophets [i.e.the scholars of Ahlus Sunnah], the people of sound knowledge, the ‘Taa-ifatul Mansoorah[i.e. victorious group] that adheres to the truth & will not depart from it until the establishment of the hour. Allaah’s proof has been established against [the people]& through them[i.e. the inheritors of the prophets, the people of sound knowledge, the victorious group] Allaah saves many people,&all the praises & thanks be to Allaah.

So during every trial, they [i.e. the scholars of Ahlus Sunnah] must openly proclaim the truth & clarify this truth for the people. They should distinguish for them [the difference] between guidance& misguidance; between truth and falsehood; the manner in which the people will be safeguarded from these trials; the path through which they will be saved from entering into fitan& other affairs [by way of which] Allaah [The Blessed and Most High] guides this [victorious] group when[they]face every fitna.

And indeed the author reiterated this hadeeth: ‘’A man will wake up in the morning as a Muslim& by evening he becomes a disbeliever.” He [i.e. the author] said that a people will be humiliated; Yes! A man may be upon truth,& then you do not see him thereafter except that he has become a disbeliever! Or a misguided innovator! This is nothing else but humiliation! He used to claim that he was upon good, a possessor of knowledge &upon the truth, but then he falls into disbelief–either Kufr Akbar or kufr Asghar. This is ignominy & Allaah’s Protection is sought.

How many people have been humiliated and exposed by a trial! [Suddenly] you come to know of them& their false claims are unveiled,& their reality is clarified for you.
