📍Whenever Utman Ibnu Affãn - Allah be pleased with him - stood before a grave he would cry until he would wet his beard...
❗So it was said to him: You cry not when mentioning Paradise and Hell, and cry of this ❓❗
He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah saying:
"The Grave is the first Station of the stations of the Hereafter, so if one is saved from it, then what is after it is easier, and if one isn't saved from it, then what is after it is harder"
And I heard the Messenger of Allah saying: "No sight have I ever seen, except that the grave is more hideous"
[Tirmidhiyy:2308]

Saying “Knock on Wood “
By Abdul Azeez bin Baz 1420H (may Allah have mercy on him)
“The Verdict on knocking on wood for protection against envy.”
A brother named ‘Amr from Damascus wrote a letter asking about knocking on wood. He wrote,” When mentioning a blessing or favor Allah has bestowed on a brother or a friend some people knock on wood out of fear from the envious. And sometimes they request other people to do it by saying, “Knock on Wood”. What is the verdict on this action? May Allah reward you abundantly.”
As-Shaykh Bin Baz (may Allah rest him in Jannah) responded saying, “ This act is forbidden and contains corrupt belief. It is impermissible to knock on wood for protection against the envious. The act legislated in Islam for the person who obtained Allah’s favor or a smooth progress is thanking and praising Allah. Additionally, the person must ask Allah for all His blessings and His help in being thankful. This deed is found in the verses;
And (remember) when your Lord proclaimed: “If you give thanks (by accepting Faith and worshipping none but Allah), I will give you more (of My Blessings), but if you are thankless (i.e. disbelievers), verily! My Punishment is indeed severe.”[ Ibrahim 7]
فَاذْكُرُونِي أَذْكُرْكُمْ وَاشْكُرُوا لِي وَلَا تَكْفُرُونِ
Therefore remember Me (by praying, glorifying, etc.). I will remember you, and be grateful to Me (for My countless Favours on you) and never be ungrateful to Me.[ Baqarah 152]

“By Allah we cannot rest! By Allah at times we cannot sleep due to grief over our youth and fear of them losing their religion! By Allah the complete cure is right in front of us! Why have we abandoned it? Why have the youth divided? We should search for what has caused the severing of our body (unity) and then mend it with the book of Allah n the Sunnah! So where are the reformers? Those who will gather the bricks and scattered parts and unite them like new, and make them one body!” - Shaykh Rabī ibn Hādi al-Madkhalī [Al Lubaab Min Mejmo' Nasaeeh pg 341-342]

AKHLAAQ [MORAL CHARACTER, BEHAVIOUR, TRAITS ETC] HAVE LIMITS – BY IMAAM IBNUL QAYYIM رحمه الله
Akhlaaq [i.e. mannerisms, moral character, behaviour or traits, which are part of a person’s natural disposition or nurtured in him (or her)] have limits. Transgression occurs when one goes beyond its limits and deficiency and humiliation occurs when one falls short.
The limits of Anger are: Praiseworthy bravery and having a dislike for despicable and deficient [behaviour, moral character etc.]. This is its perfection. But when one goes beyond its limits, he transgresses and oppresses; and if his anger is deficient, he will behave in a cowardly manner and will not detest despicable [behaviour, moral character etc.].
The limits of Envy are: [Praiseworthy] competition in seeking after perfection and not wanting the other competitor to excel you; [but] if a person goes beyond its limits, it leads to jealous animosity and oppression through which a person wishes that the one he envies should be deprived of blessings and is eager to harm him. And if a person lacks [what is required of it], it leads to disesteem and a weakness in one’s ambition.
The Prophet [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] said:
‘’There should be no envy except in two [people]: a person whom Allah has given wealth and he spends it in the right way, and a person whom Allah has given wisdom [i.e. religious knowledge] and he judges by way of it and teaches it to the others.”
This type of envy [necessitates praiseworthy] competition between one another and the Haasid [i.e. the one who is envious of his or her competitor] seeks -by way of it- to be similar to the one he [or she] envies, whilst not [harbouring that] despised envy which [necessitates that he or she] wishes that the blessings bestowed upon the envied one should cease to exist.
The limits of Desires are: A [source] of relaxation for the heart and intellect after exerting oneself in carrying out acts of obedience and seeking to accomplish virtuous deeds. However, when a person goes beyond its limits, it leads to a strong and barely uncontrollable emotion and lewdness, and thus the person descends to the level of animals. However, when a person is lacking in desire and does not [utilised it as a means] of seeking after perfection and virtue, it leads to weakness, impotence and humiliation.
And among the most noble and beneficial sciences is the knowledge regarding the hudood [the appropriate limits], especially the divine limits-the commands and prohibitions [ordained by Allaah (The Most High) and His Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam)]. The most knowledgeable people are those who have the most knowledge regarding those divine limits, hence they neither include- in those limits- that which is not from them nor remove that which is included in them. Allaah [The Most High] said:
ٱلۡأَعۡرَابُ أَشَدُّ ڪُفۡرً۬ا وَنِفَاقً۬ا وَأَجۡدَرُ أَلَّا يَعۡلَمُواْ حُدُودَ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِهِ
The bedouins are the worst in disbelief and hypocrisy, and more likely to be in ignorance of the limits (Allah’s Commandments and His Legal Laws, etc.) which Allah has revealed to His Messenger. [Soorah At-Tawbah’ Aayah 97]
Therefore, the most just, balanced and upright people are those who stay within the limits of the Akhlaaq, actions and the deeds legislated in the Islamic legislation- in knowledge and practice.

The Whole Year for Ramadan
It is reported that Muʿlā b. Al-Faḍl – Allāh have mercy on him – said:
They (the Salaf) used to supplicate to Allāh for six months asking Him to get them to the month of Ramaḍān; and they used to supplicate for six months that Allāh accept [their fasting and other worship in Ramaḍān].

*START YOUR DAY WITH SEEKING FORGIVENESS AND REPENTANCE*
Imam Bukhaari رحمه الله started the chapters of supplication by two subheadings; chapter of Istighfaar and chapter of Tawbah, he then introduced the daily supplications.
Ibn Hajar رحمه الله says Du`as are accepted when one does Istighfaar and Tawbah first, he then quoted Ibnul Jawzi رحمه الله who was asked:
"Is it better for me to make Tasbeeh or Istighfaar?"
He replied:
" *The dirty robe is more in need of soap than perfume* "

🐚Question:
What is the ruling regarding a person who allows lewd magazines, which contain unlawful pictures and deviant messages, to enter his home?
Answer:
A Muslim is not permitted to bring magazines and books that are contrary to Islamic beliefs and that corrupt Islamic precepts and manners into his home. The senior of the house is responsible for himself as well as for his family; the Prophet (sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam) said: A man is shepherd in his home, and he is responsible for his herd. [1] May Allaah send peace and blessings upon Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
