Recitation of the Qur’aan

Abu Hurayrah رضى الله عنه narrated that the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

“Do not make your homes like graveyards, indeed shaytaan avoids the home in which Sooratul-Baqarah is read.” [1]

Ibn Mas’ood رضى الله عنه narrated that the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

“Verily everything has a high point, and the highest point of the Qur’aan is Sooratul-Baqarah, and verily shaytaan, if he hears Sooratul-Baqarah recited,
he leaves the house in which Sooratul-Baqarah is recited.” [2]

And the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

“Recite Sooratul-Baqarah in your homes, for indeed shaytaan does not enter a house in which Sooratul-Baqarah is recited in.” [3]

Aboo Mas’ood narrated that the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

“Whoever recites the two verses from the end of Sooratul-Baqarah in a night, they will suffice him.” [4]

🍄 ‘Uqbah bin ‘Aamir narrated that the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

“Recite these two aayaat that are at the end of Sooratul-Baqarah, for indeed my Lord gave them to me from under the ‘Arsh.” [5]

And the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

“(( Qul Huwal-llaahu Ahad )) and the Mu’awwidhatayn [Sooratul-Falaq and Sooratun-Naas] when you reach evening and when you reach the morning 3 times suffice you from everything.” [6]

A WARNING AGAINST SHAVING THE BEARD

Shaykh ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Bāz (raḥimuhullāh) said: As for the beard, it is impermissible to shave it or take ANYTHING from it at any given time; rather it is an obligation to let it grow due to that which has been affirmed in the Ṣaḥīḥayn (Bukhārī and Muslim) on the authority of Ibn ʿUmar (raḍi Allāhu ʿʿʿanhu) who said, the Prophet (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said:

Oppose the polytheists, lengthen the beard and clip the moustaches.

💢Likewise, Imām Muslim collected in his Ṣahīh, on the authority of Abū Hurayrah (raḍi Allāhu ʿʿʿanhu) who said, the prophet (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said:

Trim the moustaches and grow the beards, oppose the Fire-Worshipers (Majūs).

This calamity has become greater in this time of ours due to many of the people opposing this Sunnah and waging war against (growing) the beards, and them being pleased with looking like women and disbelievers (by not growing their beards), nevertheless, even those who associate themselves with knowledge and educating [fall into this calamity of trimming the beard].
Verily to Allāh we belong and to Him we shall return. We ask Allāh to guide us and guide all of the Muslims to accept the Sunnah, adhere to it and call towards it, even if most of the people turn away from it.

Allāh (alone) is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs, there is no might nor power except with Allāh the Most High and Exalted.

*The Movements of a Believer*

It is reported that Al-Fudayl b. ‘Ayyâd – Allâh have mercy on him – said:

The believer speaks little and does alot, whereas the hypocrite (munâfiq) speaks a lot and does little. When the believer speaks, it is with wisdom, when he is silent, it is in deep thought, when he sees, he takes lessons, and when he acts, it is a cure. If this is the way you are, then you are in the constant worship [of your Lord.]

Abdullah Al-Bukhari: Important Points Concerning Warnings and Refutations

Shaikh Abdullāh Al-Bukhārī, may Allāh protect him from every kind of harm, said:

So not everyone against whom a refutation has been made is considered--what?--an innovator. And not everyone who has been warned against is an innovator.

Similarly, it is not the case that everyone who has not been refuted is a Sunnī. And it is not the case that everyone against whom a warning has been withheld is a Sunnī.

For indeed, one who has been refuted may be a Sunnī, and he may be an innovator. And one who has been warned against may be an innovator, and he may be a Sunnī--he has an inability [this Sunnī] to make good decisions, he has rashness, he has hastiness; he is not suitable, is not qualified. So he is warned against due to his poor character, his poor ability to make decisions, his rashness, his not being qualified--do you understand?--and [for] the like of that.

So the issuance of a warning [against someone] is not a proof of [his being upon] innovation. And there being silence [and no warning against a person] is not a proof of [his] being upon the Sunnah.

So the issuance of a warning [against someone] is not a proof of [his being upon] innovation. And there being silence [and no warning against a person] is not a proof of [his] being upon the Sunnah.

Shaykh Ahmad an-Najmee (rahimahullah) said:
In the hadeeth of Anas (radiaAllaahu anhu):

“If Allah wills good for His slave, He hastens his punishment in this world, and if He wills bad for His slave, He withholds from him (the punishment for) his sin, until He requites him for it on the Day of Resurrection.” [Tirmidhi, Authenticated by Al-Albaani]

This hadeeth informs [us] that a servant [of Allaah] is afflicted with adversities and continually [tested] with calamities, so he thinks this is [because] Allah dislikes him, whilst this is not the case; rather it maybe that Allah loves him and wants to test him with trials, so that he appears on the day of resurrection and [the trials he went through in the worldly life becomes a means of] reducing [his] sins.

Very SCARY and Important Hadith!!!
Narrated Zaid binWahb:
Hudhaifa saw a person who was not performing the bowing and prostrations perfectly. He said to him, "You have not prayed and if you should die you would die on a religion other than that of Muhammad."

[Bukhari, Book 12, Hadith 757]
Sulaymaan was once asked about the greatest deed, at which he wept and said:

“That He (Allaah) look at your heart and find it not desiring anything except Him of this world and the Hereafter.”

💢Help and Aid Comes With Seeking Forgiveness💢

‎اسْتَعَانَ بالِاسْتِغْفَارَ

🎓By Shaykh ul-Islaam Ahmad bin AbdulHaleem Ibn Taymeeyah [d.728H] -Rahimullaah

📝Translated by Abbas Abu Yahya

Shaykh ul-Islaam Ahmad bin AbdulHaleem Ibn Taymeeyah (d.728 A.H.) -Rahimullaah- said:
". . . Whoever hopes for something he strives and seeks it, and whoever fears something he flees from it. If a person strove and sought aid from Allaah Ta’ala and adhered to seeking forgiveness (Istighfaar) and striving, then Allaah will most surely give him from His excellence that which never even crossed his mind.

"If a person finds that his heart does not become happy and delighted, nor does it achieve the sweetness of Eemaan, nor the light of guidance then he should repent (Tawbah) a lot and seek forgiveness (Istighfaar) a lot, and he should adhere to striving as much has he can, since indeed

📜Allaah says:
‎وَالَّذِينَ جَاهَدُوا فِينَا لَنَهْدِيَنَّهُمْ سُبُلَنَا ۚ

《As for those who strive hard in Us (Our Cause), We will surely guide them to Our Paths (i.e. Allaah’s Religion – Islamic Monotheism). 》[Ankaboot: 69]

It is upon him to establish the obligatory duties outwardly and inwardly; and adhere to the straight path seeking aid with Allaah, absolving himself from strength or might expect with Allaah.

Ignorant Piety – Imâm Muhammad b. Sîrîn(rahimahullaah)

August 19, 2011
Bismillah Walhamdulillah Wassalatu Wassalamu ala Rasulillah,

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatu,

It is reported that Imâm Muhammad b. Sîrîn – Allâh have mercy on him – said:

There were people who abandoned knowledge and sitting with the scholars, and [instead] took to their chambers and prayed until their skin dried [from exertion in worship]. Thereafter they began to contradict the Sunnah and thus were destroyed. By Allâh, never does a person act without knowledge, except that he spoils and corrupts more than he fixes and rectifies.

Al-Asbahânî, Al-Targhîb wa Al-Tarhîb 3:98
“O you who believe! If a Faasiq (liar — evil person) comes to you with any news, verify it, lest you should harm people in ignorance, and afterwards you become regretful for what you have done”

[al-Hujuraat 49:6]

The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “It is enough lying for a man to speak of everything that he hears.” Narrated by Muslim in al-Muqaddimah, 6; Saheeh al-Jaami, 4482.

It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “It is enough sin for a man to speak of everything that he hears.” Al-Silsilah al-Saheehah, 2025.
Words of Wisdom Ibn al-Qayyim

Ibn al-Qayyim, رحمه الله, says:

“For the tongue does not keep quiet at all. It is either a tongue that remembers or a tongue that is frivolous and it has to be one of these two.

It is the (nature of the) soul; if you do not preoccupy it with truth, it will occupy you with falsehood. It is the (nature of the) heart; if you do not accommodate it with love of Allaah, it will dwell with love of creation and this is a certain reality. It is the (nature of the) tongue; if you do not preoccupy it with remembrance, it will most definitely occupy you with frivolity.

Thus, choose for your own self one of the two courses and confer upon it one of the two standings.”

[Al-Waabil as-Sayyib | Pg. 166-167]
Luqmaan adviced his son:

عن سفيان وقال بلغنا أن لقمان قال لابنه : يا بني إن الدنيا بحر عميق يغرق فيه ناس كثير فلتكن سفينتك فيها تقوى الله وحشوها الإيمان بالله وشراعها التوكل على الله لعلك تنجو

“O my son! The dunya is a deep ocean in which many have drowned! Let your ship be taqwallah (fear of Allah), and load your ship with imaan-bellah (believe in Allah), and let her sail be tawakkal on Allaah! Hopefully you will survive then”.

[“Kitaab Dham Ad-Dunya”, 1/91].
The Messenger of Allaah [ﷺ] said:

«أحب للناس ما تحب لنفسك»

❝Love for the people what you love for yourself.❞

Dear beloved brothers and sisters in Islam

Ash-Shaykh Al-Mufassir Al-'Allāmah 'Abdur-Raḥmān As-Si'dī رحمه الله said:

And beware of feeling regret over past affairs which were not decreed for you, or loss of health, wealth, a job and the likes. Let your focus and concern be rectifying the actions of the day you are in; for indeed a person is the offspring of their day - they do not greive over the past, nor do they look distantly in to the future where it is of no benefit to them.

And be truthful, fulfill your oaths and promises and be just in all of your dealings. Give people their rights in full and in abundance. Do so, with a soul at peace and an īmān (faith) that is truthful and sincere.

And busy yourself with your own shortcomings and your own affairs above the shortcomings and affairs of others.

And deal with every individual person according to what is appropriate for their mental state; whether young or old, male or female, the ruling class or the ruled.

Be gentle and merciful with every individual - even the wild or domesticated animals. Verily Allāh is Merciful only to His Slaves who show mercy.

Strive constantly in all your endeavors and affairs. Keep your mind open to any and every benefit - whether religious or worldly. (end quote)

They Knew The Reason For Their Punishment

It was said to Abū Sulaimān al-Daaraanee رحمه الله: “Why is it that the intelligent ones have ceased to blame those who had offended them?

He said: “They knew that it was Allāh who had put them to trials because of their sins.”
