🗣 Three Types of People During The Night
👤 As Sahabah, Salmaan al-Faarisee رضي الله عنه (d. 35)
On the authority of of Taariq Ibn Sheehaab رحمه الله that Salmaan al-Faarisee رضي الله عنه stated:
“When it’s the night time, the people are of three positions in regards to it:
👉🏼 From them, those who the night is for him and not against him.
👉🏼 From them are those who the night is against him and not for him.
👉🏼 And from them are those who the night is not for him or against him.”
I (Tāriq) said: and how is that? He (Salmān) said:
“As for the one who the night is for him and not against him, a person who takes advantage of the unawareness of the people and the darkness of the night. He makes Wudū and prays. That’s the one who the night is for him and not against him. Then there’s a person who takes advantage of the unawareness of the people and the darkness of the night and goes about in the disobedience of Allāh. That’s the one who the night is against him and not for him. Then there’s a person that sleeps until the morning. That’s the one who the night is not for him or against him.”

Are Videos of Islaamic Lectures a Necessity?
Some people assume that conveying Islaam to the people is a necessity that requires the use of video recordings. Shaykh Saalih al-Fowzaan was asked the following question:
Is the one who records Islaamic lectures and lessons considered someone mentioned in the hadeeth (forbidding tasweer)?
The shaykh (may Allaah preserve him) replied:
Yes, yes he is included. He is included in that. There is no need for tasweer. Islaamic lectures are recorded (audio), listened to, and transcribed. The goal is accomplished without tasweer.

Averting Ghamm (Grief) and Hamm (Worry) – Imam Ibn al-Jawzi
Ghamm Occurs Due To Misfortunes that happened in the past while hamm occurs due to an expected misfortune in the future.
When someone has the feeling of grief in regard to his past sins, his grief will benefit him, because he is rewarded for it. Whoever worries about a good deed he wishes to do, his worry will benefit him as well. However if someone grieves for something that he missed from this world, then [he should know] that the missed thing will not return and that grief harms, so practically he is adding harm to harm, as I have mentioned in the previous chapter.
A resolute person should protect himself from what brings about grief, and that is losing an object he loves. Therefore, whoever has many objects that he loves, his grief increases, and whoever decreases his objects of love his grief decreases accordingly. Someone may say, when I have no objects of love I also still have grief, we affirm this but we say to him; your grief over not having a loved one is not even a tenth of the grief experienced by the one who has lost a loved one. Have you not noticed that the one who does not have a child lives in grief but not as much as the one who lost his child?! Moreover when a person becomes accustomed to what he loves and enjoys it for a long period of time, it takes over his heart, therefore when he loses it he will feel the bitterness of his loss which will be greater than all the satisfaction he had during his lifetime. This is because the loved one is corresponding to the self just as health corresponds to it, which causes the self not to find satisfaction except in it, for its absence disturbs it. This is why the self grieves for its loss much more than it rejoices in its presence, because the inner self believes that what it had was its given right to possess. Therefore a wise person should monitor the closeness between himself, his beloved to ensure it remains moderately balanced, however if he requires that which brings about grief [i.e. loving some object or person], this causes grief then the cure is first to believe in predestination and that whatever Allah predestines is going to happen. He should then know that life is founded on distress, all constructed buildings shall eventually be ruined, all gatherings shall eventually depart, and whoever wants the lasting of what does not last is like he who wants what does not exist to exist. Therefore he should not ask of life what it was not created for.
Section One: Treating Sorrow, Sadness and Grief
Sorrow, sadness and grief may befalls one due the prevalence of blackness, which should be treated with what will remove this blackness; which are the things that bring about joy. Grief freezes the blood while happiness heats it until its intrinsic heat is raised, both of them (happiness and grief) can harm, and may lead to death, if they are not immediately kept within moderate levels.

💎ALLAH WILL ASK HIM ON THE DAY OF RESURRECTION – SHAYKH UTHAYMEEN
Oh people! Indeed many of the common people give fatawa to one another without any knowledge. So you find them saying “this is halal, or this is haraam, or this is waajib” etc And he knows (nothing) about these affairs. Does this man not know that Allah will ask him about what he said on the Day of Resurrection?!
Does he not know that if he misguided an individual – that if he made permissible that which Allah has made haraam or made haraam that which Allah has made halal for the person – then he is the cause for that persons sins.
And does he not know that he will have the like of those sins for those actions which were caused by his fataawa?!

The fresh milk of cows is a cure, as the Prophet (salallaahu alaihi wassallam) said:
“Indeed Allaah, the Most High, did not create a disease except that He created for it a cure. So upon you is the cow’s milk, for indeed it feeds from every herbage.”
(Saheeh al-Jaami’, no. 1808).
Ibn al-Qayyim stated over seven centuries ago:
“Milk is at its best when freshly milked.”
He also said:
“Milk in general is the most beneficial drink for the human body due to the nutritive elements contained in it.”
(Zaad al-Ma`aad, 3/353).

The Punishment For Not Lowering The Gaze
Once when ‘Umar Ibn Al-Khattaab was circumambulating the Ka’bah, and ‘Ali was circumambulating with him, a man came to ‘Umar and said: “O Amir al-Mu’mineen, settle the score for me with ‘Ali ibn Abi Taalib.”
He said: “What is the issue?’
He said: “He slapped me on the eye.”
‘Umar stopped and waited until ‘Ali caught up with him, then he said: “Did you slap this man on the eye, O Abul-Hasan?”
He said: “Yes, O Amir Al-Mu’mineen.”
He said: “Why?”
He said: “Because I saw him staring at Muslim women during tawaaf.”
‘Umar said: “Well done, 0 Abul-Hasan!”

Be Upon Salafiyyah Based On Knowledge, Understanding And Action, And Not Based On Mere Claims
By Shaykh Sālih Al-Fawzān حفظه الله تعالى said:
Salafiyyah is to follow the Madhab of the Salafus Sālih [pious predecessors] – the Sahābah, the Țā’bi’een and the virtuous generations. Allâh [The Most High] said:
*وَٱلسَّـٰبِقُونَ ٱلۡأَوَّلُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُهَـٰجِرِينَ وَٱلۡأَنصَارِ وَٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّبَعُوهُم بِـإِحۡسَـٰنٍ۬ رَّضِىَ ٱللَّهُ عَنۡہُمۡ وَرَضُواْ عَنۡه*ُ
And the first to embrace Islaam of the Muhaajiroon (those who migrated from Makkah to Al-Madinah) and the Ansaar (the citizens of Al-Madinah who helped and gave aid to the Muhaajiroon) and also those who followed them exactly (in Faith). Allâh is well-pleased with them as they are well-pleased with Him.”9:100
And Allâh [The Most High] said about the Sahaabah:
‘Verily, those who believed, and emigrated and strove hard and fought with their property and their lives in the Cause of Allâh as well as those who gave (them) asylum and help, – these are (all) allies to one another [8:72] – up to His statement- [وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ مِنۢ بَعۡدُ وَهَاجَرُواْ وَجَـٰهَدُواْ مَعَكُمۡ فَأُوْلَـٰٓٮِٕكَ مِنكُمۡۚ – And those who believed afterwards, and emigrated and strove hard along with you, (in the Cause of Allâh) they are of you.” [8:75 ]

(And there is also a share in this booty) for the poor emigrants, who were expelled from their homes and their property, seeking Bounties from Allâh and to please Him. And helping Allâh (i.e. helping His religion) and His Messenger (Muhammad). Such are indeed the truthful (to what they say); And those who, before them, had homes (in Al-Madinah) and had adopted the Faith, love those who emigrate to them.” [59:8-9]- up until His [The Most High] statement:

ey neither exaggerate nor fail to give the affair its right- like those who ascribe themselves to the madhabs of the four imams [Abu Haneefah, Maalik, Shaa-fi’ee and Ahmad] whilst being in opposition to them in Aqeedah and Ibaadaat. And like the one who ascribes himself to the methodology of the Salaf, yet he either declares the Muslims to be disbelievers or rebels against the Muslim rulers, or he follows other directions towards extremism. This person is not a Salafi, rather he is named a khaariji or a Mutazili. Or like the one who ascribes himself to the methodology of the salaf, but speaks with the statement of the Mur’ji’a in the affair of Eemaan and Kufr. This is not salafiyyah.
Therefore, it is obligatory to pay attention to this affair and not to mix the Salafi methodology with the other methodologies that are in opposition to it, and then say: ”all these methodologies [including the salafi methodology] are not from Islaam.” This is recklessness in speech, an oppressive judgement and deception against the people.

YOUR AFFLICTIONS DOESN'T LET YOU SLEEP
Dua if you can't sleep
Khalid bin Walid (radiAllahu anhu) reported that once he suffered from insomnia. The Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) said to him, "Shall I teach you words that will make you go to sleep when you say them? Say (the below)":
[abu Dawud 4:12, at-Tabrani in his Al-Kahir and Al-Awsat]
Allahumma Rabbas Samawaatis-Sab'i, wa ma adhal-lat, wa Rabbal-aradina, wa ma aqal-lat, wa Rabbash-Shaiateena, wa ma adhal-lat kun li jaran min sharri khalqika ajma'een ay-yafruta 'alaya ahad-um-minhum, aw ay-yatgha. Azza jaruk, wa tabarakasmuk
"O Allah! Lord of the seven Firmaments and whatever they cover, Lord of the seven earths and whatever they contain, Creator of the devils and whoever they mislead, Be my Protector from the evil of all Your Creatures lest some of them may hasten with insolence against me or transgress the bounds. Honoured is he who is in Your Protection and Blessed is Your Name."

'WHAT RASULULLAH ﷺ DID WHEN HE HEARD MUSIC PLAYING'
Nafi' the slave of Ibn Umar رضي الله عنه said:
“Ibn Umar heard a flute. So he placed his fingers in his ears, and went away from the road. He then said to me, 'O Nafi', do you hear anything?'
I said no, so he removed his fingers from his ears and said, 'I was with Allah Messenger ﷺ and He heard something like this and He did as I did.'

The Khawarij And The Qur’aan
From Uqba Bin Aamir from the Prophet [ﷺ]:
«سيخرُجُ أقوامٌ من أُمَّتِي يَشربُونَ القرآنَ كشُربِهِمْ اللَّبَنَ.»
❝There will appear groups from my Ummah who will drink the Qur’aan like the drinking of milk.❞
[Collected By Tabraani | Sh. Al-Albaani: 'Hasan' In Saheehal-Jama, (No. 3653) | Translated By Abbas Abu Yahya Miraath al-Anbiyya]
-
In another wording:
«سيخرج قوم من أمتي يشربون القرآن كشربهم الماء.»
❝A group from my Ummah will appear who will drink the Qur’aan like they would drink water.❞
[Collected By Faryabi | Sh. Al-Albaani: 'Isnaad Hasan' In Saheehah, (No. 1886) | Translated By Abbas Abu Yahya Miraath al-Anbiyya]
-
«أي يسلقونه بألسنتهم من غير تدبر لمعانيه ولا تأمل في أحكامه بل يمر على ألسنتهم كما يمر اللبن المشروب عليها بسرعة.»
❝Its meaning is that they only pay lip service to the Qur’aan without reflecting upon its meanings or pondering about its rulings. Rather they let it pass on their tongues like hastily drinking milk.❞
[Fayd al Qadeer, (4/155) | Translated By Abbas Abu Yahya Miraath al-Anbiyya]
