Ibn Râjab رحمه الله mentioned that some of the salaf used to say:

أعمال البر يعملها البر والفاجر، وأما المعاصي، فلا يتركها إلا صديق
.
"The acts of righteousness are performed by both the righteous and the wicked, but as for the acts of disobedience, then no one leaves them off except for the truthful one."

• [Jaamī' al-'Uloom w'âl-Hīkam 1/254]
The fresh milk of cows is a cure, as the Prophet (salallaahu alaihi wassallam) said:

“Indeed Allaah, the Most High, did not create a disease except that He created for it a cure. So upon you is the cow’s milk, for indeed it feeds from every herbage.”
(Saheeh al-Jaami’, no. 1808).

Ibn al-Qayyim stated over seven centuries ago:
“Milk is at its best when freshly milked.”

He also said:
“Milk in general is the most beneficial drink for the human body due to the nutritive elements contained in it.”
(Zaad al-Ma`aad, 3/353).

The Punishment For Not Lowering The Gaze

Once when ‘Umar Ibn Al-Khattaab was circumambulating the Ka’bah, and ‘Ali was circumambulating with him, a man came to ‘Umar and said: “O Amir al-Mu’mineen, settle the score for me with ‘Ali ibn Abi Taalib.”

He said: “What is the issue?’

He said: “He slapped me on the eye.”

‘Umar stopped and waited until ‘Ali caught up with him, then he said: “Did you slap this man on the eye, O Abul-Hasan?”

He said: “Yes, O Amir Al-Mu’mineen.”

He said: “Why?”

He said: “Because I saw him staring at Muslim women during tawaaf.”

‘Umar said: “Well done, 0 Abul-Hasan!”

Be Upon Salafiyyah Based On Knowledge, Understanding And Action, And Not Based On Mere Claims

By Shaykh Sālih Al-Fawzān حفظه الله تعالى said:

Salafiyyah is to follow the Madhab of the Salafus Sālih [pious predecessors] – the Sahābah, the Țā’bi’een and the virtuous generations. Allâh [The Most High] said:

*وَٱلسَّـٰبِقُونَ ٱلۡأَوَّلُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُهَـٰجِرِينَ وَٱلۡأَنصَارِ وَٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّبَعُوهُم بِـإِحۡسَـٰنٍ۬ رَّضِىَ ٱللَّهُ عَنۡہُمۡ وَرَضُواْ عَنۡه*ُ

And the first to embrace Islaam of the Muhaajiroon (those who migrated from Makkah to Al-Madinah) and the Ansaar (the citizens of Al-Madinah who helped and gave aid to the Muhaajiroon) and also those who followed them exactly (in Faith). Allâh is well-pleased with them as they are well-pleased with Him.”9:100

And Allâh [The Most High] said about the Sahaabah:

‘Verily, those who believed, and emigrated and strove hard and fought with their property and their lives in the Cause of Allâh as well as those who gave (them) asylum and help, – these are (all) allies to one another [8:72] – up to His statement- [وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ مِنۢ بَعۡدُ وَهَاجَرُواْ وَجَـٰهَدُواْ مَعَكُمۡ فَأُوْلَـٰٓٮِٕكَ مِنكُمۡ‌ۚ – And those who believed afterwards, and emigrated and strove hard along with you, (in the Cause of Allâh) they are of you.” [8:75 ]

Allâh [Glorified be He and free is He from all Imperfections] said in Surah Al -Hashar:

(And there is also a share in this booty) for the poor emigrants, who were expelled from their homes and their property, seeking Bounties from Allâh and to please Him. And helping Allâh (i.e. helping His religion) and His Messenger (Muhammad). Such are indeed the truthful (to what they say); And those who, before them, had homes (in Al-Madinah) and had adopted the Faith, love those who emigrate to them.” [59:8-9]- up until His [The Most High] statement:

*وَٱلَّذِينَ جَآءُو مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِمۡ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا ٱغۡفِرۡ لَنَا وَلِإِخۡوَٲنِنَا ٱلَّذِينَ سَبَقُونَا بِٱلۡإِيمَـٰن*ِ

‘And those who came after them say: “Our Lord! Forgive us and our brethren who have preceded us in Faith.” 59:10

The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

”This ummah will split into seventy three sects; all of them will enter the fire except one. They said, ‘which is that (saved sects) O Messenger of Allaah? He صلى الله عليه وسلم replied: ‘those who are upon that which I and my companions are upon today”

The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: ”Adhere to my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the rightly guided Khulafaa after me”

Therefore, salafiyyah is the Methodology that has been obligated on us to follow and we are to abandon all other methodologies that are in opposition to it. The [people of salafiyyah] are the saved sect, Ahlus Sunnah Wal-Jamaa-ah, and they are the aided group till the Day of Judgement. May Allaah include us amongst them.

However, anoscription to this methodology [of the Salaf] requires [an acquisition of] knowledge of its fundamentals in order that the Muslim may adhere to it. [One is] required to have knowledge of the other methodologies that are in opposition to Salafiyyah in order to avoid them. Therefore, Salafiyyah upon the path of the pious predecessors has to be [followed] upon knowledge and clear sightedness. It is not enough for the person to ascribe himself to [salafiyyah] whilst being ignorant of it or being in opposition to it. For that reason Allâh [The Most High] said:

*وَٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّبَعُوهُم بِـإِحۡسَـٰنٍ*۬

”And also those who followed them exactly (in Faith)”

They follow [them] with knowledge- they neither fall into extremism nor negligence. Th
ey neither exaggerate nor fail to give the affair its right- like those who ascribe themselves to the madhabs of the four imams [Abu Haneefah, Maalik, Shaa-fi’ee and Ahmad] whilst being in opposition to them in Aqeedah and Ibaadaat. And like the one who ascribes himself to the methodology of the Salaf, yet he either declares the Muslims to be disbelievers or rebels against the Muslim rulers, or he follows other directions towards extremism. This person is not a Salafi, rather he is named a khaariji or a Mutazili. Or like the one who ascribes himself to the methodology of the salaf, but speaks with the statement of the Mur’ji’a in the affair of Eemaan and Kufr. This is not salafiyyah.

Therefore, it is obligatory to pay attention to this affair and not to mix the Salafi methodology with the other methodologies that are in opposition to it, and then say: ”all these methodologies [including the salafi methodology] are not from Islaam.” This is recklessness in speech, an oppressive judgement and deception against the people.

The Believer Who Mingles Is Better | Ḥadeeth Benefit

The Messenger of Allāh Ṣallallāhu-'Alaihi Wa Sallam said: “The believer who mixes with the people and is patient upon their harm is BETTER than the believer who does not mix with the people nor is patient upon their harm.”

YOUR AFFLICTIONS DOESN'T LET YOU SLEEP

Dua if you can't sleep

Khalid bin Walid (radiAllahu anhu) reported that once he suffered from insomnia. The Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) said to him, "Shall I teach you words that will make you go to sleep when you say them? Say (the below)":
[abu Dawud 4:12, at-Tabrani in his Al-Kahir and Al-Awsat]

"O Allah! Lord of the seven Firmaments and whatever they cover, Lord of the seven earths and whatever they contain, Creator of the devils and whoever they mislead, Be my Protector from the evil of all Your Creatures lest some of them may hasten with insolence against me or transgress the bounds. Honoured is he who is in Your Protection and Blessed is Your Name."
'WHAT RASULULLAH ﷺ DID WHEN HE HEARD MUSIC PLAYING'

Nafi' the slave of Ibn Umar رضي الله عنه said:

“Ibn Umar heard a flute. So he placed his fingers in his ears, and went away from the road. He then said to me, 'O Nafi', do you hear anything?'

I said no, so he removed his fingers from his ears and said, 'I was with Allah Messenger ﷺ and He heard something like this and He did as I did.'

The Khawarij And The Qur’aan

From Uqba Bin Aamir from the Prophet [ﷺ]:

«سيخرُجُ أقوامٌ من أُمَّتِي يَشربُونَ القرآنَ كشُربِهِمْ اللَّبَنَ.»

❝There will appear groups from my Ummah who will drink the Qur’aan like the drinking of milk.❞

[Collected By Tabraani | Sh. Al-Albaani: 'Hasan' In Saheehal-Jama, (No. 3653) | Translated By Abbas Abu Yahya Miraath al-Anbiyya]

In another wording:

«سيخرج قوم من أمتي يشربون القرآن كشربهم الماء.»

-

«أي يسلقونه بألسنتهم من غير تدبر لمعانيه ولا تأمل في أحكامه بل يمر على ألسنتهم كما يمر اللبن المشروب عليها بسرعة.»

❝Its meaning is that they only pay lip service to the Qur’aan without reflecting upon its meanings or pondering about its rulings. Rather they let it pass on their tongues like hastily drinking milk.❞

🔹Be Afraid of Hypocrisy!

In the Name of Allāh, the Ever Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy
No one is Safe from Hypocrisy!
It was reported that Ibn Abī Mulaykah (d. 117h) said:
أَدْرَكْتُ زِيَادَةً عَلَى خَمْسِينَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسِولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا مَاتَ أَحَدٌ مِنْهُمْ إِلاَّ وَهُوَ يَخَافُ النِّفَاقَ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ
"I met more than 50 of the Companions of the Messenger of Allāh (may Allāh raise his rank and grant him peace), and not one of them died except that he had (always) feared falling into hypocrisy."
Source: Ta'theem Qadr as-Ṣalāt of al-Marwazī (2/634)
It was reported that al-Ḥasan al-Baṣrī (d. 110h) said about hypocrisy:
مَا خَافَهُ إِلاَّ مُؤْمِنٌ وَلاَ أَمِنَهُ إِلاَّ مُنَافِقٌ
"No one other than a believer is afraid of it, while the only one who feels safe from it is a hypocrite."
It was also reported that he swore by Allāh that:
مَا مَضَى مُؤْمِنٌ قَطُّ وَلاَ بَقِيَ إِلاَّ وَهُوَ مِنَ النِّفَاقِ مُشْفِقٌ؛ وَلاَ مَضَى مُنَافِقٌ قَطُّ وَلاَ بَقِيَ إِلاَّ وَهُوَ مِنَ النِّفَاقِ آمِنٌ
"There is no single believer who lived in the past or who lives today except that he was/is afraid of hypocrisy; and there is no single hypocrite who lived in the past or who lives today except that he felt/feels safeguarded against hypocrisy."

When Death Approached Aboo Dharr (radi Allaahu anhu)

al-Haafiz Abdul-Azeem al-Mundhiree -rahimahullaah- (d. 656 H) said in "at-Targheeb wat-Tarheeb" [1] (The Book of Repentance and Abstention: Chapter (6): An encouragement upon Abstention (Zuhd) with regard to this world, and sufficing with a small amount from it):

“ And from Ibraaheem -meaning al-Ashtar:

That death approached Aboo Dharr, whilst he was at ar-Rabadhah [2], so his wife wept. He said: “What causes you to weep?” She said: “I weep because I cannot do anything for you, and I have no cloth large enough to shroud you in.”

He said: “Do not weep, for I heard Allaah"s Messenger (صلى الله عليه و سلم) say one day, [and I was with him, in a group of people]: << A man from amongst you will certainly die in a desert area: a group of the Believers will be present at his funeral. >> He said: “ So everyone who was along with me in that gathering has died within a group of people or separately [3] , and none from them remain except for me; and I am in a part of the desert, dying. So go out and watch the road, for you shall soon see what I say, for, by Allaah! I have not lied, nor have I been lied to.” She said: “ How can that occur, when the people travelling for Hajj have ceased?” He said: “ Watch the road.” He said: So whilst she was doing so, a group of people could be seen moving along quickly upon their riding camels, (looking) as if they were vultures [4]
So the people came, until they stood over her, and said: “What is wrong with you?” She said:“ There is a man of the Muslims for you to shroud, and thus be rewarded for it.” They said: “Who is he?” She said: “Aboo Dharr.” So they declared that may their fathers and mothers be a ransom for him, and they hung their whips upon the necks of their camels, and they hastened to him. So he said:

“Receive glad tidings, for you are the group about whom Allaah"s Messenger (صلى الله عليه و سلم) said what he said. So today I have entered the morning as you see me; and if I had a garment of mine that were sufficient to shroud me in, then I would not be shrouded in anything else besides it. So I implore you, by Allaah, let not a man from amongst you shroud me who has been a chief, a governor, or an official messenger.”

So all of the people had attained something from that, except for a youth from the Ansaar who was with the people. He said: “ I am your companion: there are two garments in my travelling bag that were woven by my mother, and the newest of my garments are these two that I am wearing.” He said: “ You are my companion, [so you shroud me].”

Reported by Ahmad, and the wording is his, and its narrators are the narrators of the "Saheeh"; and by al-Bazzaar -with its like, in abridged form...”. Shaikh al-Albaanee said: "Hasan".

Footnotes:
[1] "Saheehut-Targheeb wat-Tarheeb" (3/295-296/no.3314) of Shaikh al-Albaanee - rahimahullaah, and the additions in square brackets were included by the Shaikh from the original hadeeth in the "Musnad" of Imaam Ahmad.
[2] A village at a distance of three days journey from al-Madeenah, Aboo Dharr -radiyallaahu anhu- took up residence here until his death in 32 H ("Mujamul-Buldaan":1/24).
[3] Shaikh al-Albaanee"s checked edition has the word "furqah"(separately), as occurs in some of the editions of the "Musnad". In other editions of Musnad Ahmad, and in the "Daar ulHadeeth, Cairo edition of "at-Targheeb" there occurs here "qaryah" (a village); and in "alFathur-Rabbaanee" (no. 11, 916) there occurs "rifqah"(amongst companions).
[4] Shaikh al-Albaanee said: “ Perhaps the angle of their resemblance to vultures was on account of their having the dirt of travelling upon them.”

One of my favorite sayings from the Salaf <3
Al-Hasan Al-Basri [
When asked 'What is Imaan (faith)?':
“It is perseverance (al-sabr) from the things that are forbidden by Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic, and acceptance.” He was asked, “What is perseverance and acceptance?” He replied, “Al-sabr is persevere in holding back from what Allaah has forbidden, and (acceptance is) acceptance of what Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic, has commanded.”

Narrated Abu Huraira(Ra): Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) said,

“Whoever has oppressed another person concerning his reputation or anything else, he should beg him to forgive him before the Day of Resurrection when there will be no money (to compensate for wrong deeds)

But if he has good deeds, those good deeds will be taken from him according to his oppression which he has done, and if he has no good deeds, the sins of the oppressed person will be loaded on him.”

💠The complete man|

💢Imām Al-Buwaytī – Allāh have mercy on him – reports:

💢 I heard Al-Shāfi’ī (Rahimahu'Allah) say:

♨️“A man does not become complete in this life except when he has four [qualities]:

1️⃣ Religiousness (al-diyānah),
2️⃣ Trustworthiness (al-amānah),
3️⃣ Safeguarding [from sin] (al-siyānah) and
4️⃣ Sobriety (al-razānah).”

DONT LOOK DOWN AT PEOPLE
A statement written in ink of gold

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:

"If Allaah opens for you (gives you success to doing that action) the door of standing for the night prayer then DO NOT look at those who are sleeping with a look of disdain.

And if Allaah opens for you the door of fasting then DO NOT look at those who break their fast with a look of disdain.

And if Allaah opens for you the door of jihad then DO NOT look at those who sit and do not participate with a look of disdain.

Maybe the one who sleeps, breaks his fast and sits is CLOSER to Allaah than you!

Ibn al-Qayyim said: "And indeed that you spent the night sleeping and woke up regretful is BETTER than the one who spent the night standing and woke up admiring himself for indeed the one who admires himself actions are not accepted"
