"Know that not everyone is suitable to be your friend. You must verify that this potential friend has the necessary characteristics that make friendship with him something to be desired.
The one you seek to befriend must have five characteristics:
🌟INTELLIGENT - He must be intelligent. There is no good in befriending an idiot, as he will only harm you when he wants to benefit you. By intelligent, we mean one he understands things as they are on his own or if they are explained to him.
🌟CHARACTER - He must have good character and manners, and this is a must. One who is simply intelligent might be overcome by anger or desire, and obey his desire. Thus, there would be no benefit in befriending him.
🌟NOT A SINNER -He must not be a fasiq. Such a person would not fear Allah, and whoever does not fear Allah cannot be trusted.
🌟NOT AN INNOVATOR - He must not be a Mubtadhi, as there is a fear of being overtaken by his innovation.
🌟NOT A LOVER OF THE DUNYA - He should not be eager for the dunya."

✒ Da'wah To People Is Better Than Acquiring Worldly Possessions
قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : فوالله لأن يهدي الله بك رجلا واحدا خير لك من أن يكون لك حمر النعم
The Messenger of Allāh Ṣallallāhu-'Alaihi Wa Sallam said: “By Allāh, if Allāh guides a single person through you; that is BETTER for you than (a whole lot of) red camels.”
● [رواه البخاري ومسلم]
Imām an-Nawawī Raḥimahullāh said regarding the parable of 'red camels' in the narration: “That is because red camels are from the most valuable of properties to the Arabs.”
Sh. 'Alī b. Yaḥyā al-Ḥaddādī Hafiẓahullāh said whilst mentioning the benefits of this Ḥadeeth: “For a single person to be guided at your hands is better for you than owning the treasures of this world for whatever is in this world will PERISH but whatever is with Allāh will REMAIN.”

The Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم) stated, “If you have no shame then do as you please”
(al-Bukharee)
Shaikh al-Fawzan (حفظه الله تعالى) mentioned in his explanation of this hadith:
“Shame [modesty] is a great characteristic which prevents a person from degraded and lowly affairs that are not befitting of him, as well as evil mannerisms; hence the one who has shame refrains from that which is not befitting”.

📝 Is Black a Must⁉️
Many women choose to wear black, not because it is obligatory, but because it is farthest removed from being an adornment.
There are reports which indicate that the women of the Sahaabah used to wear black. Abu Dawood narrated that Umm Salamah said:
“When the words ‘and to draw their veils all over Juyoobihinna (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms)’ [al-Noor 24:31 – interpretation of the meaning] were revealed, the women of the Ansaar went out looking as if there were crows on their heads because of their garments.”
Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Abi Dawood (4101)
The Standing Committee (17/110) said: This is to be understood as meaning that those clothes were black in colour.

The Wisdom Behind the Similarity Between A Believer And A Tree
In this similitude, there are underlying (benefits), affairs of knowledge (related to speech, action etc.) and cognisance. (There are affairs in this similitude) that necessitate knowledge to be spoken about and its wisdom. And from that is:
Indeed, a tree has to have roots, a stem, branches, leaves and fruits; likewise, the tree of Imaan and Islaam conforms in its resemblance to what it is likened to. Its roots are knowledge, cognisance and certainty. Its stem is sincerity and its branches are the actions (of the believer). Its fruits are that which it necessitates of righteous actions pertaining to praiseworthy (deeds), commendable qualities, upright manners, (adherence) to a righteous path, guidance and a pleasant conduct. In the embedment of this tree (of Islaam and Imaan) in the heart and its firmness within it, are derived all these affairs.
