“Allaah says: ‘I am as My slave thinks of Me'”
~ Saheeh al-Bukhaari #7405

Shaykh ‘Abd ur-Rahmaan al-‘Ajlaan (hafidhahullaah) comments:

“If he has good thoughts about Allaah, that he will be answered, then he will be answered bi’ithnillaah. But if he says ‘I don’t think I will be answered’ and the like, then he will be deprived of the answer – and refuge is sought in Allaah – because he did not have good thoughts of his Lord.”

GUIDANCE FROM THE SALAF ON PATIENCE & COMPLAINING ABOUT CALAMITIES.

Shaqiq al-Balkhee said, "Whoever complained of a calamity to other than Allaah, he will not find the sweetness of obedience" (9/315).

Hamdoon al-Qassaar said, "No one despairs from a calamity except one who suspects His Lord" (13/51).

Mugheerah said, "The eye of al-Ahnaf was lost, and al-Ahnaf said, 'I lost it forty years ago and I have not complained to a single person'." (4/92).

Al-Asma'ee said, "al-Fudayl saw a man complaining to another so he said, 'O So and so! Are you complaining about the one who shows you mercy (Allaah) to one who does not show you mercy (man)'." (8/439)

🎓Ash-Shaykh Al-Mufassir Al-'Allāmah 'Abdur-Raḥmān As-Si'dī رحمه الله said:

*"And beware of feeling regret over past affairs which were not decreed for you, or loss of health, wealth, a job and the likes. Let your focus and concern be rectifying the actions of the day you are in; for indeed a person is the offspring of their day - they do not grieve over the past, nor do they look distantly in to the future where it is of no benefit to them.*

_*And be truthful, fulfill your oaths and promises and be just in all of your dealings. Give people their rights in full and in abundance. Do so, with a soul at peace and an īmān (faith) that is truthful and sincere.*_

*And busy yourself with your own shortcomings and your own affairs above the shortcomings and affairs of others.*

And deal with every individual person according to what is appropriate for their mental state; whether young or old, male or female, the ruling class or the ruled.

_*Be gentle and merciful with every individual - even the wild or domesticated animals. Verily Allāh is Merciful only to His Slaves who show mercy.*_

Strive constantly in all your endeavors and affairs. Keep your mind open to any and every benefit - whether religious or worldly. (end quote)".

“The scholars are inheritors of the Prophets and they did not inherit the deenar nor dirham (i.e a particular type of currency within Arab countries) but they only inherited knowledge…”

So the true source in which knowledge should be sought from is the scholars of Islam.

Value of this Duniya/World (and everything in it)....

This life is a test for a believer and a paradise for a disbeliever!

It was narrated that Sahl bin Sa’d said:
“We were with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) in Dhul-Hulaifah, when we saw a dead sheep lifting its leg (because of bloating). He said: ‘Don’t you think this is worthless to its owner? By the One in Whose hand is my soul, this world is more worthless to Allah than this (dead sheep) is to its owner. If this world was worth the wing of a mosquito to Allah, the disbeliever would not have a drop to drink from it.’”

WORRY ABOUT YOURSELF!

Who would have thought I'd have lived to witness this statement in reality.

The great Sahābī 'Abdullāh Ibn Mas'ūd رضي الله عنه said:

"مِنْ أَكْبَرِ الذَّنْبِ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ أَنْ يَقُولَ الرَّجُلُ لِلرَّجُلِ اتَّقِ اللَّهَ ، فَيَقُولُ : عَلَيْكَ بِنَفْسِكَ"

"From the greatest of sins with Allāh is when a man says to his brother, 'Fear Allāh,' and he replies: Worry about yourself."

If Ships Were To Sail In Their Tears, They Would Float | A Spine-Chilling Narration

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : إن أهل النار ليبكون حتى لو أجريت السفن في دموعهم لجرت وإنهم ليبكون الدم يعني مكان الدمع.

The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: “Verily, the people of Hellfire will cry, so much so that if ships were to sail in their tears, THEY WOULD FLOAT, and indeed they cry blood – meaning instead of tears.”

Dua - Asking for pardon and wellbeing, veiling weakness and refuge from all sides

O Allaah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in this life and the next. O Allaah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in my religious and worldly affairs, and my family and my wealth. O Allaah, veil my weaknesses and set at ease my dismay. O Allaah, preserve me from the front and from behind and on my right and on my left and from above, and I take refuge with You lest I be swallowed up by the earth.

Allaahumma 'innee 'as'alukal-'afwa wal'aafiyata fid-dunyaa wal'aakhirati, Allaahumma 'innee 'as'alukal-'afwa wal'aafiyata fee deenee wa dunyaaya wa 'ahlee, wa maalee, Allaahum-mastur 'awraatee, wa 'aamin raw'aatee, Allaahum-mahfadhnee min bayni yadayya, wa min khalfee, wa 'an yameenee, wa 'an shimaalee, wa min fawqee, wa 'a'oothu bi'adhamatika 'an 'ughtaala min tahtee.

Simple supplication which if answered can assist one in attaining sincerity. May Allah grant us sincerity. Allahumma Aameen.

And it was from the duaa of Umar Bin Al-Khattaab رضي الله عنه :

Allahumma Ij'aal Amalee Kullahu Saalihaan

Waj'aalhu Li-Wajhika Khaalisaan

Wa Laa Taj'aal Li-Ahadin Feehi Shay'aan

Oh Allah Make all of my actions righteous (with sincerity and accordance with the sunnah)

And make them(my actions) soley for Your Face sincerely.

And do not permit anyone to have a share in it whatsoever.

Why People Invent Bid’ah

Mu’âdh b. Jabal – Allâh be pleased with him – used to say:

Ahead of you are times of trials (fitan) in which there will be much wealth and in which the Qur’ân will be opened and taken (read) by believers and hypocrites, men and women, young and old and freemen and slaves. At that time it is likely that there will be people who will say, “Why aren’t the people following me when I have read the Qur’ân? They will not follow me until I invent something else.” So, beware of everything that is innovated (in religion), for those things that are innovated are misguidance.
