[Narrated by Ibn Abi Hatim (d. 327) in "Aadab al-Shafi'ee" (pg.235)]
Ibn Taimiyyah mentions that "Taghbeer" was melodious recitation of poems about asceticism accompanied with beating sticks on pads of leather to create a rhythm.
- Imam Ahmed disliked it and forbade from listening to it. He said: "It is an innovation and a Bid'ah"
[Al-Furoo' 8/378; Al-Insaf: 21/356 ]
What would the two Imams said if they heard the rap and beat-boxing done today in the name of Da'wah?
Ibn ul-Jawzi (d. 597) said: "When Iblees saw that religious people do not listen to musical instruments, he incorporated music's gist and essence into singing done without music and made this appealing to them. Thus he gradually leads them (into his trap) step by step."

There is a soul within a person, without which he will not be alive...- Ibn Uthaymeen
There is a soul within a person, without which he will not be alive. Had it not been that a soul was inside his body, he would not have been alive.
And he will not be able to describe the soul if it were said to him: ‘’what is this soul in connection to yourself; why is it that you become a corpse when it is removed from you and when it remains you are a human being (able) to reason, understand and perceive? He would have sat, reflect and contemplate and will never be able to describe it; even though it is close to him and by his side, he will be unable to perceive it. Therefore, how can he attempt to describe The Lord (Allaah) with an affair that He (Allaah) has not described Himself with!?

💥 Why we need to stress more and more on learning the Correct
🌴🌴🌴
As for Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jamaa
e) and without Tahreef (without changing their meaning).
💢💢💢
May Allaah guide us and keep us firm upon the Deen.
Aqeedah:
In the Hadeeth it is mentioned that the very first question that will be asked in the grave will be: “Who is your Lord?”
The believer will reply: “Allaah is my Lord.”
And as for the disbeliever, he will be in the state of shock and will say: “Hah! Hah! I don’t know.”
So, the believer will be able to answer the question, but not the disbeliever.
🌴🌴🌴
Now contemplate on this: among the disbelievers there is a large number of Arab Christians – those who pronounce the name of their Lord as “Allaah” in the same way as the Muslims do. And the same name is used over and over again in their Arabic Bible. Furthermore, they also say: “Alhamdulillaah”.
So then, why won’t they be able to answer the question?!
🌴🌴🌴
It is well known that the "God" which they refer to as Allaah, they also ascribe many deficiencies to Him as well. Part of their belief is that “God” gets tired, “God” begets a son, “God” makes mistakes and regrets, “God” is weak, and “God” can die and so on.
🌴🌴🌴
This is why in the Qur’aan Allaah تعالى negated all this and freed Himself of all the deficiencies that were/are ascribed to Him. He تعالى mentioned that He does not get tired, He does not sleep, He does not beget nor is He begotten, He does not forget, He does not oppress, He does not break His promise, He does not deceive, He is the ever living and does not die, and so on.
🌴🌴🌴
So, merely knowing Allaah by His Name is not sufficient. We have to know Him the way He تعالى has described Himself – we have to affirm for Him what He تعالى has affirmed for Himself in His Book and through His Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم; and we have to negate for Him what He تعالى has negated for Himself in His Book and through His Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم.
After knowing all this, we have to convert our knowledge into action by Worshiping Him Alone, without associating any partners with Him in His worship. And these acts of worship should be upon the Sunnah (teachings) of the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم. ONLY THEN WILL WE BE ABLE TO ANSWER THE QUESTIONS IN THE GRAVE.
🌴🌴🌴
And this is a clear warning to those deviants (the Jahmies, the Asharees, the Sufees and their likes) who ascribe deficiencies to Allaah – those who DENY that which Allaah تعالى has affirmed for Himself, like denying the Face, the Hand, the Sight, the Hearing, the Speech. These deviants have trodden the path of the Christians in ascribing deficiencies to Allaah. As the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم had mentioned that people from this Ummah will follow and emulate the Jews and Christians – inch by inch and step by step.🌴🌴🌴
As for Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jamaa
ah, when they hear the Names and Attributes, they simply believe in them the way it befits His Majesty:
a) without Takyyeef (without describing the HOW of it),
b) without Tamtheel (without equating them with the creation),
c) without Tashbeeh (without comparing them with the creation),
d) without Tateel (without denying them),e) and without Tahreef (without changing their meaning).
💢💢💢
May Allaah guide us and keep us firm upon the Deen.
Shamsuddeen Muhammad bin Abee Bakr Ibn Qayyim aj-Jawzeeyah (d.751 A.H.) -Rahimullaah- said:
‘There are types of medicines which can treat illnesses which the minds of the senior doctors cannot comprehend, and that which their sciences, experiences and measurements cannot reach. These are the medicines of the heart and soul, and the strength of the heart, its dependence upon Allaah and trust upon Him and seeking refuge in Him. Prostrating and feeling in dire need of Allaah and humbling oneself for Allaah. Likewise giving Sadaqah (charity), making Dua’, repentance and seeking forgiveness, being good to the creation, aiding the distressed and liberating from grief and unhappiness.
Indeed these types of medication have been used by various nations, who are upon different religions and communities, and they found that they had an effect in the treatment of illnesses, which even the sciences of the most knowledgeable doctors could not reach, and they have no experience nor measurement of it. We have indeed experienced these matters a great deal and as others have, and we have seen what ordinary medicine can and cannot do.’
